This property is a family-owned 800 square foot tower apartment on the shores of the Gulf of Mexico. There is a full kitchen, living area with a queen size sleeper sofa, and a bedroom with two queen size beds. It is part of the Zilli Collection. Each with the Zilli touch of amazing view, decor, (not typical wicker furniture, silly beach artifacts, 40 year old flooring, one SIZE fits all, etc.). We call it upscale coastal. The properties are more of a resort, 5 star hotel feel. We own an elegant upscale home next door, a penthouse unit, a direct walk out unit, along with 2 units with the option to connect into one suite.
You’ll find everything you need on-site from free WIFI to dishes, linens, towels and even a few extras you may need for your stay like puzzles and soap. There is a pool and a covered area with grills and picnic tables overlooking the beach. Hope to see you soon at one of my beautiful vacation homes. All you need is your bathing suit and a toothbrush. The beach is just steps away.
This resort is not a place of public accommodation as defined by the ADA and, therefore, does not meet the accessibility requirements of the ADA. We really enjoyed our stay here. Beautiful views and the room was very nice. The complex was very friendly and a nice place for families! Would love to come back here!

Couldn’t have had a better experience. This property checked all of the boxes for our getaway trip to the beach…. beautiful beachfront location, clean, well appointed, quiet, but close enough to anything you’d want to see or do. Amazing sunsets. The owner is very attentive and the listing is spot on with the pictures and description of what to expect from this property. We wouldn’t hesitate to return.

The views were amazing. Jim was a good host, but when we asked about a check in early he got a little frustrated with my husband. We just were asking a simple question.

I think there was a misunderstanding. I was not frustrated. I was trying to educate the client that it's outside my control. It's a third-party that does the cleaning. I can only provide recommendations as to the order of cleaning my units and then it's based on checkout and check-in and then it's not like a hotel that has all of the same room types so they can check in people all the time very easily. You buy a very specific unit with a look and I did get them in early.

Condo was clean and the view was great! Steps to the ocean and warm pool. The bed was so comfy! Communication from the owner was very helpful with all the details from how to check in after hours, restaurant suggestions and how to control the electric blinds. Great trip! Would stay in this condo again!

I love it especially your comments about the blinds because everyone has vertical blinds that fall off all the time and they can be replaced for $239 in my blinds give you so many options get a cost of $5000. This place is absolutely amazing. The view and proximity to the water is perfect. The unit is elegant, comfortable, and well stocked with everything you would need on a beach vacation. The owner is very respo sive and genuinely caring, wanting you to enjoy your time to the fullest. We cant wait to return and give this place the highest recommendation - absolutely perfect.

Jim, the owner, was very easy to work with and was quick to reply to any and all of our inquiries. The on sight staff was great, very friendly and helpful.The view of the gulf and beech were perfect and only steps away from the unit.

First off, Jim is wonderful and gives you all the information you'll need upfront and makes sure instructions are clear and easy to understand. His communication is impeccable and you can tell you does everything he can to ensure you have a fantastic vacation. Our trip was far too short, but was probably one of the best short getaways my husband and I have had in our 17 years as a couple. The unit is open and welcoming, spacious and clean! If I wasn't laying out at the beach, my time was spent sitting on the balcony enjoying the fresh air and relaxing! The views are amazing! The beach is nice and quiet, and time almost feels as if it could stand still. I'm also pretty sure my husband took a two and a half day nap on the beach while I was soaking up all of the vitamin D. We were sad to leave, but we will definitely be back next time we stay in Longboat Key!

Relaxing

Great view and a short walk to the beach. Watched a pod of dolphins swimming by each morning. Very relaxing and nice location. My wife and I enjoyed out time there.

Thank you, Rob and to you people reading this when he mentions a short walk to the beach it gives the impression it's not on the Gulf of Mexico. It is 60 feet to the sand and probably 100/120 yards maximum to the water.

Gorgeous View

We took a short couples getaway and absolutely loved our stay here. View from 2nd floor balcony was outstanding! Our condo was clean & well equipped. We were able to walk the beach in either direction and even saw a pod of Manatees. Restaurants in the area were also amazing.

The host sent me texts before we checked in about how he spent 14,000 on backsplash and crown molding. He kept mentioning two other units he owned, which confused me and made me feel uncomfortable. Then, I was sent an email with check-in instructions - which I saved on my phone. Apparently he sent different instructions via text as well, but I did not see them because they got lost in all the weird texts he sent me. Then we arrived and there was no key, and the instructions from the email were incorrect. He had texted me earlier and told me not to leave and lock the door until the morning when I could get the key from the office, but we wanted to go to the beach & store. As soon as I started calling and texting him about getting a key he stopped responding. Which was a HUGE red flag to me - the second I wanted to be safe with my 11 year old daughter and secure our belongings by locking the door - he suddenly wasn't available to text? Nope. He's not liable for any stolen items or our safety, so with no key and no response after multiple texts and phone calls over the span of 30 minutes, we left the property. Only when I texted him we were leaving did he IMMEDIATELY respond. He is refusing to refund our stay even though without a key to lock our belongings we were unsafe. Would never recommend this host or property.

Jim Zilli grew up in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin, area. He started coming to Longboat Key in the early 1980's. Jim had previously purchased the nearby two-bedroom villa and came to live in Longboat Key full-time in 2009. He then purchased the Tower 503 and Ocean Front 101 both of which have upscale touches equivalent to a Ritz or St. Regis suite.

Jim is CEO in the family’s Wisconsin on off-site catering special events business, so he has ample experience in hospitality. He finds great enjoyment and satisfaction helping guests have amazing vacations in his properties – many of whom come back year after year. “I have many families who I have gotten to know over the years and spent time , dining , golfing , helped them find realtors, and more,” says Jim.

Clients have complimented Jim’s style as attentive and not pushy. They appreciate he will check in with them during their stay. He wants renters to know he’s there for them.

The most obvious reason Jim chose Longboat Key is the weather and beauty of this location, and the Villa is located just steps from a world-class beach. Guests never run out of things to do, whether it’s enjoying the nightlife in nearby Sarasota or simply collecting shells along the white sand beach. The weather provides just enough variety so you won’t be bored. Unlike other areas of Florida, Longboat Key is quiet, safe and has a small-town feel he enjoys. The area feels remote and natural yet it’s easy to access with the Sarasota airport just 7 miles east of Sarasota or from Tampa, which is 40 minutes away.

One of Jim’s favorite things to do is golf, and (there are several world-class courses within a 20-minute drive). He also enjoys movies, and recommends the annual film festival in Sarasota. He keeps a running list of the many, many things there are to do in the area - so whether you like to swim, sunbathe, walk on the beach, golf, shop, or all of the above, Jim’s guests find plenty to keep themselves entertained. At the same time, the secluded location offers privacy and quiet so if you, like most of us, need to catch up on rest while you’re here, you can fall asleep to nothing more than the gentle sound of the surf.
