Excellent communication with our host! There were 20 of us, 9 adults and 11 children ages 1-14. We had plenty of space and the kids especially enjoyed the game room!!

Great family location

House was wonderful! My group had 2 parents and kids ranging from 11 to 25, the house provided space for everyone, entertainment and comfort.

We had a really nice weekend staying at this property. It was very spacious and had many games to keep us entertained. The purpose of our trip was mainly a ski weekend, and the house being a short drive to Big Boulder and Jack Frost was very convenient. The hot tub was also very relaxing after our long day. Barry and Skylar were quick to answer any questions we had. We will definitely be back!

Perfect large family gathering

The house was spacious enough and comfortable for my large family. Plenty to do if you enjoy the outdoors. From hiking parts of the Appalachian trail to sitting by the fire....it was the perfect place to reconnect with my adult children.

snowboarding weekend

We had no problem with this property at all. It was clean upon arrival and large enough for our crew.The kids loved the separate area they referred to as their apartment!Owners were very accommodating!

A Beautiful Home with a lot of Character

We had a group of 10 guys stay here for a Fall golf trip to cap off the year. The house was very accommodating for 10 adult men and it’s proximity to Split Rock and Mt Airy made it very easy to get to our tee times. The home is very well maintained and had an interesting layout that gave it personality. Overall a great stay and I’d recommend the property to anyone.

Spacious rental!

We had a great time at this property! It had plenty of room for our group and was very spacious. The hot tub was great to have especially after a long day of skiing. We had one minor issue with the fireplace not working upon arrival but Barry and his team were quick to respond and get it taken care of! Would definitely recommend for a trip to the poconos and will hopefully be back in the future!

Most accomodating

We were a group of 10 with two children and the house accommodated us well. The kids loved exploring the grounds and the outside area was Comfy for fireside chats... Walks to the lake were leisurely and the town had some nice restaurants for lakeside drinks. All in all a Funtime . If you get a chance do some water sports that are available in town. Highly recommend this vacation home.

34 of the 36 reviews we have to date are five stars. One of the two 4 stars was a mistake by the person that submitted it - he advised it was supposed to be 5 stars. If you read this review, we are not sure why this was only 4 stars. Everything was positive and the guests are more than welcome back. Maybe some people have a hard time in giving anyone 5 stars. :-) We really do our best and our hope is that all our guests have a better time than even they expected.

Family Fun

Our group consisted of college age 20 somethings, middle age parents, and one senior patriarch and everyone had a wonderful time. The house is well maintained and very spacious with lots of room and private areas for our diverse group to enjoy. The property is conveniently located near some great local restaurants, hiking trails, kayaking, and many other outdoor activities. The owners are very responsive making our experience very enjoyable. Thank you for a wonderful family vacation!

Perfect for families with children

The hosts were excellent--very communicative and helpful. The game room was great, our group of kids loved all of the options. And we all enjoyed the hot tub! The photos of the listing are a little misleading since the room with the futon is not it's own room but is connected to another bedroom so is not suitable for groups who are not family. But otherwise we had a very good time!

Thank you Laura. We appreciate your feedback and are happy you had a great stay. However, the complaint about the futon room is not accurate, since this is FULLY disclosed in our listing description. As stated in our description: "Walk upstairs from the pool table room and you will enter a large bedroom with a queen and a full, love seat couch and a 42" flat screen tv and its own bathroom. Go THROUGH THE OPEN DOORWAY IN THIS ROOM and you will find a high end futon queen bed, small kitchenette, with a microwave, sink and small frig. " Additionally, if you look at the picture of the futon room, the photo description says "Studio sleeping area OFF OTHER ROOM, sleeper futon, sink, microwave and mini frig" It is explained how the futon room is off the bedroom, and it is also its own room with its own door. It is a separate room and by stating it is not separate is actually misleading. We try our best to be upfront about everything in the house, and based on all of our previous reviews I think it is evident that we are not misleading with our layout and most people find it to be ideal for their groups.

Great location and perfect property for multiple families

This house was perfect for our extended family that included everyone from four separate households. We all had the exact space we needed and our own bathroom which was a huge plus. The property was great inside and out. It is close to everything we needed while still feeling like we were staying "in the woods." We had an AC issue with one of the rooms upon arrival. The host offered multiple solutions and got us a new window unit that solved the problem immediately. Communication was amazing from prior to booking through the end of our stay. We would love to stay at this propery again and highly recommend this host.

Do not understand the 4 stars other than some people just do not give 5 stars. We always strive for guests to have a 5 star stay. We went out of our way to assist these guests, including returning to them various things they left behind. This is the verbatim text they sent me when they left "We just left. Thanks for everything! The house was great! One of the pool sticks broke. Just let me know the cost and I can venmo you the money or send a check. Thanks again for everything." I told them not to worry about the pool stick - no charge. If anyone wants to see this text at any time, we have it.

Spacious Woodsy Retreat

Barry was communicative the whole way through and we had the information we needed for our stay ahead of asking. The property was very spacious with four large common spaces to enjoy and comfortable sleeping for 12 to have their own beds. The outside of the property had plenty of seating, a hot tub, and a nice fire pit area. I highly recommend this house for your next friends and family weekend!
