Beachcomber Bungalow is "1920's" style beach cottage located in the southern neighborhood of downtown Seaside, Oregon on the majestic North Coast. This dog-friendly home is located in close proximity to the beach and promenade, as well as the community park. Hamilton's Market (the neighborhood grocery store) is right around the corner. Your family will enjoy all the excitement the town offers while vacationing in your own simple and cozy paradise. Take serene walks on the seashore, bicycle to the arcade and shops on Broadway, have a nice evening relaxing in the hot tub, and much more.

Beachcomber Bungalow is a 1920's single-level beach-style cottage. This home has been nicely updated with simplicity and a cozy beach theme for those who enjoy the simple things that life offers.

*3 Bedrooms/ 2 Bathrooms- Sleeps 7 in beds
*Room 1 - King Bed + Twin Rollaway (sleeps 3)
*Room 2 - Queen Bed (sleeps 2)
*Room 3 - Queen Bed (sleeps 2)
* Open living styled dining and living area with gas fireplace.
* Nice, simple, and modest though fully equipped kitchen that allows you to prepare all your meals and store your groceries.
*Private and enclosed back yard with an open patio area, BBQ, and hot tub.
* The front yard is private and enclosed by lush hedges that give the home a serene and cozy feel.

Dog fee in the amount of $15/dog/night, not to exceed 2 dogs with a $30 minimum/dog. Any additional fees owed will be added after booking. Dogs must be at least 1 year of age and spayed or neutered. The contract will note the full requirements.

Winter Getaway

This home was warm, clean and comforting. It was very cold in seaside the week we went, but this home is conveniently located 2 blocks from the beach, so it was an easy walk back from the beach in the cold to a warm house. The hot tub was clean and hot, but the jets didn't work very well. It didn't stop us from enjoying it. Wifi worked well so my kids could game. Overall, we had an amazing experience even though we reluctantly had to leave a bit early because of a winter storm. We would love to stay again!

Comfortable getaway spot

We had an enjoyable stay at this cute rental. The high points were: comfortable beds, proximity to some great food spots and a market with many healthy options, TV/Streaming options, a kitchen with bases covered, nice towels, and a full Brita pitcher for good water. Unfortunately, the ping pong table and hot tub didn't much get used, due to poor weather. Please note that the fireplace isn't to be used for fires; we missed that and were hoping for a cozy fire. Great communication from the hosts. I'd definitely stay there again.

Great getaway

We spent the Christmas holiday here and it was wonderful. The property was super clean and even had a Christmas tree set up. The kitchen is small, but quite workable. Lots of stocked amenities in great condition. Communication with host was fast and easy. Proximity to beach and town made this a perfect getaway for our family

When we arrived, the furnace had gone out. We texted Malia and everything was repaired within two hours. We greatly appreciated that! We love the house and location. Thanks for being such great hosts.

We tried something new for this trip and

It was a very relaxing stay. The house is in a great spot, close to a beach access with the new mobili-mat ( I think that's it's name) for those who can't walk on the sand and may need to roll. The house is very well stocked with kitchen items so most of my stuff stayed packed away. The king size bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. Especially being disabled and having a rare hip condition that makes sleeping a challenge. The hot tub was great as well, even with the chilly weather. There are even dog friendly items in case you bring your 4-legged friend with you. Even if it's rainy, there is a garage for the kiddos to go out and enjoy ping pong, or there are some games in one of the closets. The neighborhood was very quiet and yet not too far from town, so if you wanted to, it's walk-able. Property management was lovely to talk with and very helpful when needed. Definitely would recommend to family & friends.

Great Location

We stayed a week with our adult son & his family. We had a great time and the wagon was a lifesaver! We pulled the baby and the beach toys down to the beach, restaurants, city park and down the promenade. All which were located very close to the house. The house has a lot of spices and was very clean. The two downsides were that we enjoy cooking together and the kitchen was very small as was the dishwasher, so we washed dishes ALOT! The biggest bummer was the grill. We had all 3 burners going on high and you could put your hand on the grates, so I am guessing they are plugged up. The bikes were fun to ride down the Prom and the fenced in yard was fantastic for the baby. She loved being able to come in and out whenever she wanted. Plenty of towels, dishwashing liquid and washing machine powder. All in all it was a great stay and would stay here again. Host is super nice and very responsive.

Great Family Getaway!

Our family had a wonderful time here! The house is so cute and was very clean upon arrival. Great location, on a quiet street. Easy to go for walks and bike rides, even with small kids. We were able to walk down to the beach and promenade easily too. The house has all the amenities you’ll need for your stay.

Charming Beach House

Our family stayed at this beach house and loved every minute! The property was immaculately clean, stocked with all the essentials and in a perfect location - private yet very close to the beach and stores. We would highly recommend and plan to stay here again.

Fantastic Place!

My partner and I had a great time staying at Malia and Arnie’s property in Seaside! It was very clean and comfortable and a 3 minute walk to the beach! Also the hot tub was great! We will definitely stay again. We highly recommend!

5 star property and location!

I stayed here with my family of 6 (with 4 kids ages 3-11) This was one of the best VRBO’s we’ve stayed in checking all the boxes: 1 block from beach, hot tub, large living room, market and restaurants walking distance from house, and my kids loved the long driveway to toss the football, and ping pong table in the garage. This was the perfect getaway for our family and memories were definitely made!

Family Spring Break

Very cute house that's very close to the beach. It was extremely helpful that a family friendly pub was next door for quick and easy meals, and the grocery store was a 60 second walk away. We literally didn't need to drive anywhere, it was all right next to the house. House was clean, well kept and quiet. Lots of towels and bedding. We'd love to come back again!

My ONLY complaint is that they make you sign something outside of Vrbo and the check in process isnt ideal. Other than than that the room was perfect and we loved the hot tub

Great short term rental

Guests were my husband and I and our two labs, my brother and sister-in-law and their 11 year old daughter. The house was very clean. There were plenty of towels. The kitchen was stocked with enough dishes for cooking and eating. The fridge is kind enough to tell you if you leave the door open which is so useful with kids. We all enjoyed the hot tub, which was very clean and plenty large enough for 4 adults to sit comfortably. We played some ping pong in the garage, and rode bikes on the boardwalk. There is a market around the corner. I was worried the restaurant/tavern next door would be loud, but we didn't hear a peep from them. It was very quiet. The beach is about 3 blocks away and is beautiful and VERY dog friendly. Very few people had their dogs on leashes which we appreciated and did not have any negative experiences between our dogs and other dogs or people. The downsides: all the puzzles have pieces missing (but I finished one anyway), the fireplace has faux candles with LEDs that don't work. Do not plan on having any kind of fire. The furnace is loud, but you only notice it when it clicks off and we all got used to it very quickly. I highly recommend for family and friend get togethers.

Everything We Needed

The house is in a great location, was very clean, and had everything our family needed to stay happy. The kids loved being able to go play ping pong in the garage. We definitely recommend this property for families and small groups!

Winter Beach Stay

This was a lovely little home for a winter beach stay. Everything was as advertised. The location is excellent, but is right next door to a restaurant. Even so, the home felt private. The covered patio and hot tub were a big plus after a cold beach walk. Comfortable beds and furniture. The enclosed front entrance was nice to take all our beach stuff off before bringing sand into the house. The furnace did not work the first night. The manager brought us space heaters and was able to send out a repair person the next morning so our trip was relatively unaffected. Once repaired, the home stayed nice and warm. Quick walking distance to a market, a few restaurants and of course the beach and prom :-)

Lovely home

The house was very clean and comfortable with an easy layout and very dog friendly fenced yard. Hot tub was sparkling clean. Easy walk to the beach and breakfast. Hosts were great! We really enjoyed our time here.

Hello & Aloha from Arnie & Malia Jacobsen. Arnie was born and raised in little Nehalem, Oregon just 20 minutes south of Cannon Beach. Malia was raised in Honaunau, Hawaii in a little town south of Kona. We love raising our daughter Pualani on the lovely Oregon Coast. Our business area includes Gearhart, Seaside, Cannon Beach & Arch Cape. We enjoy walking around the beaches year-round, swimming in the creeks during the summer warmer months, or surfing. Some of our favorite hiking spots are Oswald West and Ecola State Park from Crest beach to Indian beach. Everywhere we go we see someone we are connected to. From going to the post office, grocery shopping, having a meal, or just shopping. Which is why we started our business Kukui House Services here. Kukui means “light” in Hawaiian. Kukui “Light” House Services. We help owners with their rental or private home, and our guests so they experience a wonderful stay. Our clients tell us we are friendly, have quality cleans, and are responsive.
