Beachcomber Bungalow is "1920's" style beach cottage located in the southern neighborhood of downtown Seaside, Oregon on the majestic North Coast. This dog-friendly home is located in close proximity to the beach and promenade, as well as the community park. Hamilton's Market (the neighborhood grocery store) is right around the corner. Your family will enjoy all the excitement the town offers while vacationing in your own simple and cozy paradise. Take serene walks on the seashore, bicycle to the arcade and shops on Broadway, have a nice evening relaxing in the hot tub, and much more.

Description of Home:
Beachcomber Bungalow is a 1920's single-level beach-style cottage. This home has been nicely updated with simplicity and a cozy beach theme for those who enjoy the simple things that life offers.

*3 Bedrooms/ 2 Bathrooms- Sleeps 7 in beds
*Room 1 - King Bed + Twin Rollaway (sleeps 3)
*Room 2 - Queen Bed (sleeps 2)
*Room 3 - Queen Bed (sleeps 2)
* Open living styled dining and living area with candle lit fireplace.
* Nice, simple, and modest though fully equipped kitchen that allows you to prepare all your meals and store your groceries.
*Private and enclosed back yard with an open patio area, BBQ, and hot tub.
* The front yard is private and enclosed by lush hedges that give the home a serene and cozy feel.

Dog fee in the amount of $15/dog/night, not to exceed 2 dogs with a $30 minimum/dog. Any additional fees owed will be added after booking. Dogs must be at least 1 year of age and spayed or neutered. The contract will note the full requirements.

The house was exactly what we expected. Very dog friendly, fully fenced back yard. The hot tub was great on the back patio, very private. Great area with close restaurants and a store all with in walking distance. The host was easy to communicate with and quick with responses. The house was clean and we would definitely book again.

This property was perfect for us. A 2 minute walk to the beach,15 min walk to the little town of stores and great central location. The house was very clean which is a huge plus in our books! The host Malia was very responsive and helpful.We would definitely return to this property!

Thank you, Rebecca, for making us aware of the work going on at the restaurant. City ordinances require work to be completed by 6 pm. So, if there was any late work happening, I could have spoken to the owner or the city. We live here so it's an easy call to make. Billy Mac's is a family dog friendly restaurant that closes at 9pm. We love the convenience, portion size, and menu variety; Burgers, Mexican, Salads, and my favorite the Broasted Chicken. Something for everyone. Mahalo for allowing us to host you. Malia & Arnie

I liked staying on the quiet side of town and proximity to the beach. Beds comfortable... it is good sized. Could have updated furniture - a bigger dining table. Only seating for four. Fairly quiet. It is nice to be able to bring a small dog. Host is nice and responsive. I guess overall I expected more for over 2k for two nights. It was high season but not 4th of July or Christmas or other big holiday.We did not use hot tub.

Our dining table sits 6 people with chairs and when open sits 8 with 2 extra chairs in the closet to accommodate. Our rates do get higher for summer weekends. So, to make it a little easier for guests we do allow just 2-night stays, and our summer mid-week rates are much less which is helpful for cost conscious travelers. Lovely home and very clean! We had a minor electrical issue, and it was fixed immediately and didn’t interfere with our stay at all. Hosts are kind and very easy to communicate with. Property is close to a couple restaurants and the beach.

The hosts were very nice and communicative, which was appreciated. Though, the communication was a bit much at the beginning. They wanted us to sign a contract prior to our arrival, tell them about our trip purpose, contact them with our ETA day of, call them upon arrival for a walk through, etc. It was a bit overkill, but once we got to the house, everything was great! They were quickly available when we had issues with the hot tub code and they were very kind and understanding when we had to leave early due to our dog being sick. Overall, the house fit our needs for our last minute stay in Seaside, but it is not without its quirks. The dishwasher had rubber falling off of the perimeter of it, the kitchen sink handle fell off almost every time you used the faucet, the front yard consistently smelled like garbage because of the restaurant’s garbage next door, and the bikes - while convenient - were very old. Despite that, the house is in a great location, has comfortable beds and couches, and has a lovely hot tub. I’d recommend it for a bigger group, and would stay here again if needed, but it’s a bit over priced for the quality.

We enjoy allowing early check in so knowing our guest's arrival times is helpful. If it's a late arrival, we enjoy leaving a light on and in the winter making sure the heat is on. So many helpful reasons to know arrival times. The dishwasher was thankfully an easy fix. The rubber seal popped out somehow. We had offered to come by to fix but you mentioned we didn't need to. We will look at the kitchen sink during the next turn and replace if need. Easy fix. Many guests love the restaurant next door and truly 1st time hearing of the odor. I will look into it and make sure that it is truly an anomaly. I'm glad that you found our beds and couches comfortable, enjoyed our lovely new hot tub despite the age of our cottage beach home. Summer is our peak season for pricing, but prices are lower during non-peak. Mahalo.. Malia & Arnie

The home was clean, comfortable, and accommodated our family well. We especially loved the location, it was exactly what we were looking for and made our stay even more enjoyable.One thing to note is that the photos make the living room and kitchen appear a bit larger than they are in person. That said, the space still worked well for our needs.Overall, we had a great experience. The hosts were excellent, very communicative, detailed, and easy to work with throughout our stay. We’d absolutely consider staying here again!

Property was clean and comfortable and as described. Impressed with the cleanliness. Grreat quite area at the south side of town with an easy walk to the beach. Perfect for to bring the dogs. Hot tub jets didn't work the best, but it was an older hot tub. Still good for a nice soak. Nice stay.

Everything about this place is nice! The mud room made it easy having dogs this vacation all the appliances were clean an in good working order the house was very clean and every thing we need was available. We were close to the beach a small market and great restaurants Billy Mac’s Mexican Grill next door was excellent. There was a wonderful breakfast cafe was so good! We travelled up and down the coast New Year’s Eve beautiful weather. The location was far enough away from the down town and in a very cozy neighborhood that gave us and our dogs a chance to relax all day on New years!!!! Will rent again this summer if available …

Hello & Aloha from Arnie & Malia Jacobsen. Arnie was born and raised in little Nehalem, Oregon just 20 minutes south of Cannon Beach. Malia was raised in Honaunau, Hawaii in a little town south of Kona. We love raising our daughter Pualani on the lovely Oregon Coast. Our business area includes Gearhart, Seaside, Cannon Beach & Arch Cape. We enjoy walking around the beaches year-round, swimming in the creeks during the summer warmer months, or surfing. Some of our favorite hiking spots are Oswald West and Ecola State Park from Crest beach to Indian beach. Everywhere we go we see someone we are connected to. From going to the post office, grocery shopping, having a meal, or just shopping. Which is why we started our business Kukui House Services here. Kukui means “light” in Hawaiian. Kukui “Light” House Services. We help owners with their rental or private home, and our guests so they experience a wonderful stay. Our clients tell us we are friendly, have quality cleans, and are responsive.

Beachcomber Bungalow is a special home in Seaside. We love it because is private, it's a family gathering place and steps to trails to the beaches and headlands. It's our little paradise on the coast.

Beachcomber Bungalow is located just around the corner from the local grocery store and the Osprey Cafe. It's a family and dog-friendly beach cottage where families can gather, relax, and spend quality time with one another. It's close enough to the excitement of downtown Seaside yet located in a more private part of town. Plus, after a long day who wouldn't want to relax with a BBQ and soak in the hot tub?
