Great Stay in Kingsland

Our family had a great stay at Paradise Cove. It had all the amenities we needed; neighborhood was great and lots of stores and places to eat were near. We would definitely stay here again.

The communication with the host was fast and productive. The guidebook link they send is very helpful but the check out procedures are slightly different from the ones I found on vrbo after we left. The home is nice. The guesthouse is very nice but a little dated. We had a few little issues with the AC in the main house. The host offered to send someone to look at it but it worked well enough for us to be reasonably comfortable. The deck in the back is beautiful but there are some area where the wood should probably be replaced soon. The dock closet had life jackets, paddle boards and corn hole boards. There was also a paddle boat on the dock. The house has a selection of board games but most are missing pieces. So bring your own games like we did. Overall we had a great time the little problems didnt take away from the fun.

The lake was beautiful, the decks and dock were great for hanging out. We do wish the main bedroom AC had more vents but grateful for the fan! Definitely a great location and lots of space!

This property was exactly what we were looking for. The main house was comfortable and inviting as well as very clean. The AC in the main house was not as cold as it was in the casita, but for us, it was not an issue to complain about. The casita was also very clean and inviting. The grounds and lake access were perfect. I wish the outdoor entertaining and lounging areas were prepared a little better when we arrived i.e. decks swept, cobwebs removed, furniture wiped down, and cushions placed on chairs. However, for the price, it was not really an issue; it just would have been a nice touch. The host was very communicative and answered all questions/concerns in a timely manner. Our family had a wonderful and relaxing weekend at this property and will book again!

Summer Family Vacation

It was a great property and experience. My family and I had a wonderful time at this property. The AC could be a little better during the daytime but other than that everything was great.

Great Stay!

Everything in person was as listed, clean home and loved the guest house. Would definitely recommend friends and others staying here. Communication when we needing anything was great as well 🤙🏼

Family fishing trip

We really enjoyed our stay here. Kelly went above and beyond to make everything work for us! House was great and yard was awesome! We will be coming back next spring!

Great place for a relaxing stay, right off the river

Can’t say enough good things about the backyard, private dock and private lagoon. Great layout in the main house and very spacious, plenty of beds for everyone to sleep, and very clean. Very well stocked kitchen with everything you’ll need and a bonus they have the kayaks and paddle boards available to borrow as well. Kelly was super helpful and quick to respond and this part of the river is beautiful!

Weekend getaway

Great place to stay. Lots of room. Boat dock is within 100ft of main lake but in a cove so easy to tie up the boat without the waves. Listing agents communication is excellent.

Easter Weekend

We loved our weekend here! The views are amazing! We loved both houses! The SUP and Kayak were so fun! We loved being on the canal too!!! We'll definitely be going back!

During our stay we had a plumbing problem where sewage backed up into the shower and over the rim of the toilet. We contacted them on Friday night to report this problem. No one called us back on Friday. As a result we cleaned up the bathroom ourselves. On Saturday they called us back but we were having fun with family and did not get to their call. On Sunday the problem re-occurred. We again contacted them. They sent out the maintenance guy who found an electrical short and made a repair which corrected the problem. When we contacted them to ask for a financial accommodation for the problem and they said because we did not call them back on Saturday they would not make any accommodations. Don't rent from Hill Country Stays, they won't help with you are up to your ankles in sewage.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We sincerely apologize for the plumbing issue you encountered during your stay. We understand how unpleasant and frustrating that situation must have been. When we received your initial message Friday evening, the last communication we received indicated that everything had been handled for the time being and that you wanted to speak with us the following day. We made multiple attempts to reach you by phone, text, and messaging but were unable to connect. We later learned that there were several different individuals communicating with us using different phone numbers and email addresses, including people who were not staying at the property. Unfortunately, this created significant confusion and made it difficult to communicate effectively. We were not notified that the issue had occurred again on Sunday, nor did we our maintenance technician. The problem was traced to the grinder pump system, which is maintained Kingsland Municipal Utility District rather than by Hill Country Stays. After identifying the issue, the necessary repairs were made and the problem was resolved by them. Our goal is always to respond quickly and take care of our guests. We regret that the communication challenges complicated this situation and are sorry that your experience did not meet the level of service we strive to provide. We appreciate your feedback and will continue working to improve our communication and response process.

Eclipse time

We all had a great, comfortable and peaceful stay at the Paradise Cove houses. Hill Country Stays was very responsive and accommodating to our needs.

Great Stay

My husband and his friends were content here during their fishing trip. Everything was as described. Their only recommendation was better lighting on the steps. Thank you for providing such a comfortable place for them.

Awesome place to stay!!

I would say this house is absolutely amazing, fully stocked with everything you need. My family and I just spent a few days to celebrate my dads 50th birthday. And it was a total success. Kids had a blast playing in the huge yard and the lake as well.

Fun family weekend

Beautiful part of the river. Lovely home but quite dated. Outdoor spaces were a lot of fun. Late checkout was expensive and communication wasn’t great.
