La Petite Maison is a French country-style cottage nestled in the midst of a newly planted lavender farm* in the Santa Ynez Valley in California. A home for travelers near and far, La Petite Maison is a getaway with rustic sophistication allowing visitors to experience the wine country and escape the everyday.

The cottage features 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, living area with a warm fireplace an efficient (yet fully equipped) kitchen. Each bedroom has a queen-sized bed and the bathroom boasts a large shower as well as a washer and dryer. The cottage is located in Santa Ynez and resides in a beautiful area of the Valley that feels secluded but is still convenient to the surrounding towns. Downtown Los Olivos is approx. 4 miles away, downtown Santa Ynez is approx. 4 miles away, and Downtown Solvang is approx. 7.5 miles away.

An absolutely lovely spot that takes you into the windy roads of SY. The hosts make it easy as possible. Lots of privacy, your own small yard. I felt as if I lived there.

The cottage was a welcomed surprise. Very homey, comfortable and personable. It was an excellent home away from home stay. Every thing you could want for a few days away. It was also very quiet and private. Dana was always available, if anything was needed. The only thing that could have made the stay better is if the lavender was blooming! Many thanks to the host!

Fireplace was awesome. Vey clean and well furnished. Single bath worked ok for 2 couples. Awesome place. Close to lots of great wineries and restaurants.

Great place to stay in the SYV

La Petit Maison is à charming, well appointed cottage very close to both Los Olivos & Santa Ynez. Comfortable and cozy, perfect for our short getaway and a great base camp for exploring the area. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend.

Charming and peaceful

This cottage is adorable. So comfortable and clean. Has all you need. Quiet and well located near everything but feels a million miles away. Hosts were great and it was all that was promised.

Prefect little spot

Found the cottage to be the perfect place to stay in the valley. Equal distant between Santa Ynez and Los Olivos and a short drive from Solvang. Beautiful quiet location and charming decor. my brother and I were very comfortable

Home Away from Home

Dana and Craig are gracious and charming hosts. The property is equally delightful. The lavender field and olive grove makes us feel as if we are back in Provence. We will be back again soon!

My wife and I returned to Petite Maison and found the cottage and surroundings to be just as charming and delightful as before. The new brick path to the front door is a nice addition. Looking forward to our next stay.

Lavender cottage

The cottage was everything i hoped it would be. It was cozy and smelled amazing with lavender in bloom all around the property. It was incredibly peaceful as well.

Just perfect

I have to be careful in terms of how much Praise I offer as it could have the effect of making further bookings more complicated – but just have to say, this is an absolutely perfect location and home for a wine country getaway north of Santa Barbara. Dana was wonderful, easy to communicate with, the location is absolutely fantastic With proximity to everything nearby. Definitely will stay again.

We now own and operate Lavande Farm with La Petite Maison as our little jewel in the midst of the lavender field.
