Our beautiful Cape Cod beach house is perfect for a relaxing vacation with family or friends. Nantucket Sound views and ocean breezes will relax and rejuvenate you! This spacious and airy home offers 4 bedrooms (private study off queen bedroom offers additional private sleep space), 2 and a half baths, and three large decks perfect for soaking in the hot tub, sunbathing, grilling up a local seafood dinner, quiet summer reading, or relaxing under the stars.

The bedrooms are on the 1st and 2nd floors, while open kitchen, dining, living spaces and water views are found on the bright and sunny 3rd floor. Nantucket Sound and neighborhood beaches are only steps away, while shopping, dining, art galleries, many recreational activities and the spectacular Cape Cod National Seashore are a short drive away.

Our peaceful neighborhood is only minutes from downtown Chatham. The house has a thoroughly equipped kitchen, a hot tub, outdoor shower, indoor and outdoor Sonos wireless sound system, AC on each floor, washer/dryer, and a beautiful glass-gas fire pit for chillier, summer nights. Comfy Sunbrella furniture on every deck! Dogs considered with pre-approval. Multi-generational families love the ability to gather and spend time together in the spacious common areas and also enjoy the more private spaces this home offers.

Beach Getaway

Fantastic house—lots of bedrooms for family with great beds. House is very clean, airy and comfortable. Hot tub was fun! Beach a very short walk. Host was welcoming and easy to reach if needed. Highly recommend

An All-Time Favorite Place

This house was perfect for our family gathering of ten. The layout on 3 floors provided great space for everyone to gather (top floor) or to be off their own rooms. The 3 decks provided different options as well. We had a hot and humid, beachy week, and the cool shade of the bottom deck, which opened onto a shady grassy backyard bordered by blooming hydrangeas was lovely in the afternoon, and the airy and open top deck with its view of the water was delightful in the mornings and for dinner and the evenings. The kitchen was the impressively well stocked for cooking, which we did each night. The house was homey but not cluttered. The easy 3 minute walk to the beach was a huge plus. We would happily return another year – this was one of our all-time favorite places to stay!

Amazing Vacation!

What an amazing vacation! This house was absolutely perfect for our family - 4 adult children and our 4-yr old granddaughter. From the beautiful open floor space of the living room, dining area and kitchen to the cozy bedrooms - our entire family loved their stay. The outdoor decks, patio and backyard were enjoyed as well. The location was perfect - an easy walk to the neighborhood beach and a quick drive to either Chatham or Harwich Port. Bob and Laurie are exceptional hosts - so friendly and helpful. Looking forward to our next stay - making this a new family tradition.

Lovely Week in Chatham

We had a wonderful stay in South Chatham. The access to the beach and the town was great. The house was well maintained and the master/shared bathroom, especially the shower, was outstanding. The only issue for my family, was the placement of the bedrooms below the main level. We had a 6 year old and a 2 year old who were early risers. Once they made it to the main level, we could hear the pitter patter of little feet so then we were all up. Otherwise the trip was lovely and the owners very responsive.

Chatham Idyll

Lovely property. Plenty of space for our family of grandparents, children with spouses and teenage grandchildren. The five bedrooms gave all an individual space, with their own televisions ( even if not used).Kitchen is FULLY equipped. The beach is a short walk. All in all, a lovely vacation spot.

Best Family Stay Ever

We've been renting on the cape for about 24 years, through two generations of kids, and this is one of the nicest houses we have stayed in. Super clean, user friendly for kids and adults, and highly equipped kitchen for cooking with families. We had 3 generations with plenty of privacy in the bedrooms, as well as gathering spaces in big kitchen, large gorgeous dining room table, generous comfy living room, and outside table on deck. Red River beach is a 5 min drive with super easy access and child-friendly calm water. We were there almost every day with the little ones. The house sits on a quiet street and you can hear the waves crashing in the distance. The yard is fairly small but the hammock was fun with the kids and the hot tub was a hit with the 20 somethings. Also, lots of nearby marsh walks, woods, and beaches to explore. The grownups had several wonderful meals in nearby restaurants. Altogether a marvelous inter-generational vacation!

June 2023 family vacation

8 adults + first grandchild came for family vacation. Beautiful home, comfortable and clean. Looks just like the pictures, and everything was just as described in the listing. Kitchen full of supplies, and appliances. The large sub zero refrigerator was a bonus for a large family. Proximity to beaches (you can see the water from the 3rd floor deck) was wonderful. It is a close walk (~1 block down a narrow path) to a small neighborhood beach and the public beach was .4 mile away, also an easy walk on neighborhood streets. Parking there is free, but very limited. We were able to walk there even with baby in tow- we did have a wagon for cooler, umbrella etc. No amenities on this beach ( Forest Beach), but larger beaches are close and short drive. Outdoor shower was great and well used. Hot tub and fire pit was enjoyed by the younger adults. Location is in a nice quiet neighborhood (nice for walks and runs) and a short drive to the action and restaurants in downtown Chatham. There are a lot of amenities like TV's and sound system we didn't use, but are available. Owners were very helpful and responded quickly when contacted. My grown children called it a "magical week", and want to come back next year. Anytime you can make everyone happy at the same time its a win! Thank you!

Family Vacation

The property was perfect for our family vacation on the cape. The house was very clean, well-stocked, and the location was convenient for walking on the quiet streets or to the private beach 1-minute away. Robert and Laurie are excellent owner/hosts that were responsive to any questions. I would recommend this property for a family vacation.

Family vacation at the Cape. the location was perfect. The house was well stocked and clean. Overall, the house is bright and airy. the 2 lower level bedrooms are damp and neglected a bit but otherwise the house was perfect

Wonderful stay!

We couldn’t have loved our stay at Laurie and Robert’s house any more than we did. The house was spotless and had everything we could need for our family vacation. The house was huge and felt so comfortable, even with 8 adults. We loved using all 3 of the patios, the backyard and the hot tub. We were so happy to discover that we could see the ocean from the house and it was simply a short walk down the path to get to our private beach. We cannot wait to come back next year!!

Beautiful, relaxing and convenient

We loved our stay at this property on the south end of Chatham. The house was perfect for our party of two families. We were close to everything and the house and views were just what we needed. Thank you for an incredible vacation!

Relaxing Beach Stay

Very nice house for the cape. Short walk to the beach. Relaxing stay for the kids and parents. Chatham is a beautiful area. It’s close to some great ice cream and nice restaurants. All you can really ask for.

Nice home for extended families!

This home was perfect for family of 8 and 2 babies. Every couple had a bedroom and babies shared a room. Large kitchen had everything you’d need. A freezer in addition to a refrigerator was a big help. Each of the 3 levels had their own deck , one with fire pit, Second with hot tub and third with patio table and grill. Owners respond immediately to any questions. I would advise people with mobility issues to think about this home because there are 2 staircases and the top level was the kitchen and living area so you needed to be able to climb the stairs. It was a challenge keeping the babies away from the stairs and I’d recommend gates to be added if possible . The beach was very close and perfect for people to go back and forth on their own schedules. Again, it has a steep hill and uneven path , so mobility is a must. Overall we loved this home and hope to come back again!

Seaside vacation

Robert’s and Laurie’s home on Forest Beach was the perfect fit for our multi-generational family. The pictures accurately depict the house—in fact, the kitchen and living room feel even larger than suggested by the photos. The three decks were magnificent features. We regularly used the outdoor spaces for dining, lounging, and relaxing by the fire pit in the evening. The ocean is visible from the upper deck, and the sounds of the waves and ocean breeze are perceptible throughout. Forest Beach is a short walk, close enough that it’s not a schlep to go back and forth. Don’t bother packing beach chairs because the house comes with plenty.

Great family vacation spot

Our family really enjoyed staying at this house. This house has a gourmet kitchen with anything and everything you might want. 4 nice bedroom and 1 walk through bedroom. The AC worked only on one side of the house, but with doors open and fans, the house stayed nice and cool. Beautiful private backyard provides a lot of shade. The private beach is not a direct access, but only few steps away. The outdoor shower is amazing. All 9 of us loved it. The house is about 10 minutes drive from Main Street in a Chatham. As always, we’ve had our dog on this trip. Every morning we took a walk through neighborhood.. It was delightful.

Fabulous Week on the Cape

We had a great time on the Cape! The house was beautiful and in a great part of Chatham. We had plenty of space for the 7 adults and 2 children. The house is well stocked and really has everything you need to have a great vacation. The beach is a 2 min walk away and very private (the ocean is a bit rocky and some seaweed), but it was still warm and nice enough to go swimming. Laurie and Robert were extremely responsive and did everything possible to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Hope to go back next year!

Excellent family rental

Our family enjoyed our stay in August. The house was well maintained and clean. The kitchen was equipped with anything you'll need - more than I've ever seen in other rentals. Location is a short drive into Chatham center. Look forward to returning next year!
