Everything our family needed, clean with a beautiful view and beach. Owner and host were very responsive and helpful with suggestions. I would stay here again

The house is in a great location on hooper’s bay. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Communication with the owner and manager prior to the trip was wonderful and they gave many recommendations. If you are used to a modern/updated house this is not it. My complaints are the small ants in the kitchen, no dishwasher and the couch is pretty dated with a blanket used as a covering.

Thank you for the good review. Your comments about ants and the couch have been noted. The "sugar ants" are a problem on the island, and very difficult to eradicate. The house is treated yearly with insecticide injected into the footings to kill off termites and other insects. Unfortunately it cannot be 100% effective. What I will do is get some ant killer small bait boxes for guests to use and place accordingly. As for a dishwasher, that will come when the kitchen gets redesigned - which will be in the near future. It is not listed as one being available in the description of the place. The couch is in fact not that old, and the blanket is only there to help it from getting dirty, it is not hiding wear. It is on our radar to upgrade in the next couple of years.

The Sundowner was a beautiful place to stay while we explored Exuma, and the beach outside was a treat to enjoy at the beginning and especially end of the day. Plenty of space for our family, and a great location to easily explore the island.

Host was really great and helpful. The house was in very good condition. The house location, right on the beach, was absolutely amazing.

This is a lovely home, perched on a hill, right on the ocean. We enjoyed our stay immensely. Three bedrooms, each with its own bath, and beautiful view. A large well stocked kitchen, and washer and dryer available. Perfect for a family, although we were just two. The beach and water was pristine. Location was close to the airport, and a grocery store. Plenty of parking too. The only caveat I have is if you have elderly, infirm family, the stairs down to the beach may be a bit challenging, but totally doable with a little help. We cant wait to go back, the beauty of the water and friendly people left a lasting impression. Dawn was wonderful as well-thank you so much!

House was perfect for our group of four and just as described in the pics and description! Views were incredible, location was perfect for us and Geoff was a great host. We used his recommendations for food, boat rental, car rental and beaches. Couldn’t be happier.

A beautiful spot!

We had a wonderful stay! The location is perfect, close enough to Georgetown but on a quiet and secluded beach. We loved it and can’t wait to come back!

Perfect location

Located right in the beach and most of the time felt like a private beach. The house is nice but older and well maintained. Would stay here again.

Great Beach House!

Clean Spacious Quiet Beachfront Amazing view of the sea Friendly host 2nd best beach in the island for us You get both sunrise and sunset Most of the time the beach has less people so you get to have the beach to yourself.

Perfect Vacation

This was our second visit to the Sundowner and it was once again perfect! The house has everything you need and just steps away for the best beach. We can’t wait to plan our third visit soon❤️

The Sundowner was magnificent! The back balcony was our favorite spot...set high above the bay and a few steps down to the beach.It was a wonderful place to come home to after days out, relax at the beach in your backyard and eat dinner while listening to the rhythm of the waves. We had many adventures in Exuma...even up until the end, when 20 minutes before we were about to board our plane, realized we left behind a piece of luggage back at the Sundowner. I called Jenny, the property manager, with the hope that she might quickly run there to check on it. She immediately did...and called to tell me she was on her way to the airport and would be there in 10 minutes. She brought me my bag just in time! Needless to say, Jenny went above and beyond for us and she will always be part of the many stories of our adventures and folly's in Exuma. The Sundowner is a true gem...our kids miss it already. Thank you Geoffrey and Jenny (and Jenny's hubby who stepped on the gas to get her to the airport :).

So pleased you loved your stay, and excellent to hear that at such short notice my manager was able to ready the cavalry, drive to the house, pick up your bag and get it to the airport for you - and all in less than 30 minutes so you were able to travel with it. Best location on Hoopers Bay

Stayed here 3 times. Can’t beat the location and size of the property. Slightly elevated so the views of Hoopers Bay are awesome. Steps away from one of the nicest beaches in Exuma. Easy to get to Georgetown, Smittys, or Prime market. Great house that we will book again.
