Beachfront Luxury Condo! Casa Sirenita

Thank you so much for your thoughtful 4-star review and for taking the time to share what you loved about your stay—we’re thrilled the condo felt comfortable, the beach views were amazing, the kitchen was fully equipped, and the balcony seating added to your enjoyment. It means the world to hear that our manager was helpful and the property felt well-kept and very clean overall. We’re sorry the shower water smelled unpleasant on arrival and that the washing machine was noisy—those are never the experiences we want for our guests. Regarding the water odor, we’ve since been informed that the issue stemmed from a temporary building-wide plumbing matter affecting the entire condominium complex, not just our unit. The good news is that it’s now being fully resolved by the association, and we appreciate your patience in running the showers as advised. As for the beds, we want to firmly clarify that all mattresses in the condo are brand new, replaced within the last 2 years and are high-quality models chosen for lasting comfort. We’re genuinely surprised to hear they felt uncomfortable and will be conducting an immediate quality check to ensure everything meets our standards—your feedback helps us stay vigilant. Unfortunately, I had problems with Deborah from the beginning when she called me "unethical" for charging an electricity fee for the months of April-November. I explained to her that it was written in the description and that I have to add it for those months otherwise everyone would get charged for electricity use for the entire year as electricity in Mexico is very, very expensive during the hot months. After she apologized to me for this, I agreed to let her rent our condo. Three to four days after she arrived, she informed me that the sink in our last bathroom was all of the sudden broken. I had been to the condo the week before and there was nothing wrong with the sink. Giving her the benefit of the doubt and not accusing her or her family of breaking our sink, I arranged for our manager to have someone fix it. Deborah refused to let the the plumber in to fix the sink when she and her family were then and then refused to let him in when she was not there (even with our manager present). She told the manager that it was "disrespectful" to fix the sink when she wanted to be at the pool and already had plans for the day. I explained to her that the plumber needed to fix the sink so it wouldn't cause damage to the condo and also to make her stay more comfortable. Deborah wouldn't let the plumber and my manager come in for 2 days and it had to be at 10pm (so we had to pay an extra fee to get it fixed because it was late at night). Two days after, all of the sudden my coffee maker (that was only 3 months old) was broken. Again, giving Deborah the benefit of the doubt, we bought and replaced the coffee maker without accusing her or charging her for a new coffee pot. As far as clean linens go I had gotten back from Mexico the week prior to Deborah's trip. I washed the linens myself and knew that they were clean. In addition, the mattresses in the master bedroom and third bedroom are all brand new. At check out, guest are required to wash towels or linens if the amount they leave exceeds 2 loads of laundry (without charge) as our cleaner will not have time to get the condo ready for the next guest if she has more than 2 loads of laundry to do. If guests leave laundry that exceeds 2 loads because of the time it takes (and the fact that we have to take it to a laundry mat because other guests are arriving), we do charge 20$usd per load. Sadly, Deborah is one of the worst guests I have ever rented to. She is entitled and acts like the world revolves her.
