Overall pleasant stay

Great stay however next time we will be aware to pack more essentials i.e trashbags paper towels toilet paper shampoo conditioner laundry detergent etc

Wedding Weekend

We visited to Manteo for our niece's wedding. The location worked well for all of our activities and was very comfortable for all family members!

The property was perfect for a long weekend for our family.Perfect location in a perfect setting. Family Gathering

Loved the balcony and porch looking over the canal. Nicely kept vacation home. The kitchen was well equipped with everything a family would need for storage and meal prep. Very clean. Pool was close by.

We had a couple of issues during our stay however Pirates Cove Realty fixed them. Our downstairs bathroom toilet did not work and the grill gas tank was empty. Unfortunately both of these events happened at night after the office was closed so we had to wait until the next day to get them fixed. These are just a few constructive critiques that we had as a family of 9 staying in the house. The furniture in the home is beyond uncomfortable. Wicker furniture everywhere, in the living room, the bedrooms; extremely uncomfortable and made most of us not want to hang out as a family in the evenings. The king mattress in the 2nd bedroom upstairs is so bad, I woke up at least 20 times each night. The third bedroom upstairs does not have a TV, we had 4 teenagers with us, at night before bed they all wanted to watch movies. We knew from last year this room didnt have a TV so we brought one with us, but we shouldnt have to. The kitchen needs more regular size coffee mugs and a keurig of some sort. We have stayed at Pirates Cove for 5 summers now, this was our first year having issues with intoxicated people harrassing us in the evenings. They harrassed our teens while fishing from the dock and some yelled the N word repeatedly at our family while we were sitting on the dock and the porch in the evenings to leave, that we didnt belong there. This was disheartening & dissappointing. Parents should do better.

Amazing house

The house was amazing and so clean. Everyone staying in the area were friendly, polite, and quiet. Crab fishing from the boardwalk was a hoot. Hope to bring more family and return again soon.

Enjoyed our stay!

We've been to pirate's cove multiple times but it was the first time we stayed in this house. The house has 4 bedrooms and 3 full bath with one bedroom with two twin beds downstairs, it fits our group of 4 families comfortably. The house has more than enough kitchen utensils, the only drawback is we found quite some ants. Overall we loved our stay in this house.

Clean, quiet house with a relaxing view

Clean property with plenty of space in a quiet neighborhood. We loved having a view of the canal from the balcony and porch, which made for an ideal place to eat dinner and have a few drinks each night. My son loved running out to the dock and seeing all the ducks as well. This property is in a great location -- a short drive to downtown Manteo and to several beaches and other sites like Jockey's Ridge without being in the middle of too many Outer Banks crowds (perfect for social distancing). The beds were not the most comfortable, but they weren't too bad.

Summer vacation

We loved our stay. It was convenient to everywhere we wanted to go. The grill and raw bar was amazing and the check in process was smooth. We enjoyed the balcony and tile with family with plenty of space for everyone!

Let us “eggsplain “

-Jack n Jill bathroom drain stopped up and we had to take years hair and gunk out of it -bathroom rugs filthy -master bath had puddle and drenched rug when we first checked in -all cooking supplies and utensils were filthy, frying pan was put away with dried egg on it! Picture will be provided. -living room chair smelled like vomit -Dryer vent we had to clean out when we first used it and it was overloaded which was not just from one cycle not being cleaned out.... fire hazard Water bottles and random game puzzle pieces under bunk bed -wow what a trip adviser review this would make This house is not being taken care of properly.

Best community location in obx.

Enjoyed our stay. Conveniently located 2 minutes from attractions in manteo and less than 5 from Nags Head.
