Located in the Hammock Village section, the house is ideal for families, couples, or fishing groups looking for a relaxing coastal retreat with ample off street parking. This unique home also offers 55 feet of dock space located behind the property for renters use and a outdoor shower located under the house with hot water to rinse off after the beach!

Inside, you’ll find a spacious layout with luxury vinyl plank flooring in the main areas and soft carpeting in the bedrooms. Two large back decks overlook the Roanoke Sound marsh and canal, offering a private setting with hammocks, swinging chairs, and Adirondack seating—perfect for morning coffee or evening cocktails.

When you're not relaxing at home, take advantage of the community amenities: an outdoor pool, fitness center, tennis courts, a playground, and a full-service marina. Grab a bite at the on-site Blue Water Grill & Raw Bar or explore the neighborhood on bikes—Pirate’s Cove is very bike-friendly and fully gated for added peace of mind.

We had a great vacation. Only one little disappointment was the Tv service was not good at all. We could only get one tv in the living area to work. My father enjoys watching major league baseball’s especially during the play offs. He could watch one game. He also could not watch any NFL football. This was very disappointing.

Restful Retreat

Stayed for a girl's getaway to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. This VRBO did not disappoint. Leslie is a wonderful host and the home is lovely.

Mixing Business with Tranquility, Relaxation and Beauty

Our stay was planned around a work event in Tyrrell County. I couldn’t be more excited when I came across this listing. Absolutely beautiful view with a gorgeous sunrise. We could not stop taking pictures. It was that beautiful. The home exceeded our expectations. With a glass of wine and not a care in the world, we relaxed on a hammock overlooking the canal. The home was extremely clean and provided all the necessities needed to feel at home. Check in was extremely easy. Melvin and Leslie were amazing. They were just a phone call away if needed. Mimi’s Tiki Hut (walking distance), had the best island cocktails in Dare County! So yummy! The crab cakes at Blue Water Grill and Raw Bar (next door to Mimi’s) were fantastic! Highly recommend. We repeat this event annually and we look forward to coming back and hopefully staying at the Lewis’s home again. :) Thank you again, Melvin and Leslie, for opening your home to us.

This is the perfect getaway house! Communication with the host was amazing and she was always available for any questions we had. The home was very clean, and had everything we would have needed. Great stay. Dock is right behind the house! Fabulous views of the sound. We met the neighbors and they were great. Lots of amenities in the community to include a nice restaurant and a Tiki bar. Owners were easy to communicate with and responded promptly to all inquiries.

This house was so lovely! We felt so comfortable and all the little extras included were so helpful! We just moved right in! All the toiletries, soaps etc were so appreciated. The view is beautiful! Amazing property and beautiful location

This property was excellent in every respect. Beautifully appointed and everything we needed for a family trip. The location is stunning and access to the sights in the OBX easy to navigate. We found the renter to be first class like the house!

Peaceful getaway

We were very happy w/ the accommodations, location was great, only a few minutes' drive to Nags Head areas. Check in was super easy, did not even have to get out of the car :) The rental fee was reasonable. The house itself was great! There are no pictures of the bathrooms in the listing, but they were fine. Stairs are a little steep inside & out w/ small overlook balcony, definitely watch the little ones! Would definitely stay here again, plenty of room for 2 - 8 people comfortably!

Great stay in Manteo!

Our group had a wonderful time staying at the property. Perfect for a wedding/event in the nearby marina. Leslie was a great host and very responsive! Place had everything you needed for a stay at the beach. Great price and value as well. Highly recommend!!

Beautiful property

We came to stay at Pirates Cove for the fishing tournament. The house was very nice and comfortable. Nice neighborhood to walk around and the easy walk to the restaurant at Pirates Cove. We also use the pool, which was a plus.

Great stay

This house was very comfortable. It was well furnished and had just about everything we needed. The neighborhood is great and had wonderful amenities. While the property could use some updating, it made for an easy stay because we weren’t worried about everything being perfect. I’d recommend this house for anyone traveling to the area.

We are a family of seven, our five children, my wife and myself. Our main home is on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. Graduate of Virginia Tech. Children have graduated or currently attending University of Tampa, College of Charleston and Clemson University. We have enjoyed Pirates Cove Marina and the Outer Banks for the last 25 years! So much to do from this convenient location. We continue to have great family vacations and to make memories in this home!

My wife, my five children and myself have been vacationing in the Outer Banks for over 20 years. We use to stay at the beach until we discovered Pirate's Cove Marina (PC). Once we stayed at PC we were hooked. We never stayed anywhere else for our annual summer vacation. We loved this place so much that in 2012 we purchased this home in Pirate's Cove Marina and still love it as much as the first time we vacationed here! After repeated request to rent our home, we decided to give it a try and here we are. We hope you will enjoy this property as much as we do!

Gated playground, tennis courts, fitness center, basketball courts, and seasonal community pool and hot tub. Walk to the marina from this home and meet your chartered boat and observe the large fishing boats and the catch of the day! Onsite restaurant and tiki bar as well as a ship store. Once you arrive at our home, you do not have to get into your vehicle to have fun.
