Beautiful Apple Canyon Lake Log Cabin in the Woods
Come be a kid again at our log cabin in the woods, with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, jacuzzi tub, 25ft tall stone fireplace, and comfortable beds!
Our 'Great Room' gives new meaning to the name, with an open concept kitchen, eating and sitting area and French doors that open onto an elevated cedar deck overlooking the woods.
We do offer a tv and dvd player but no tv channels are available. We do offer fiber internet so you can bring a firestick for streaming. We do try and provide a supply of firewood for renters as a perk but this is not always guaranteed. We also provide a gas grill for you to use.
Please view the AVAILABILITY CALENDAR on the website for date availability. We are sorry, but we cannot lock in dates until deposit is received. Please keep in mind we often receive several inquiries for the same dates. The first paid deposit locks in the dates. The deposit is refundable until 1 month prior to your arrival. Please note that we require a minimum of a three night stay during holiday weekends.

My husband and I had an amazing time. Close to Galena for shopping. We spent a day at the beach with the access that came with our rental. We felt right at home.

It was a great location for our family get together. Our grand daughter loves the bunk bed and going down the trail to the creek area and children’s play area. Just a 5 minute walk from the house. 10 minute drive to the pool.

The whole stay was wonderful! The hosts were fast to respond. The house is very nice. It is clean and well kept. I have never had such a full stocked kitchen when traveling. You could truly make a feast! The bedrooms were also very nice with tons of linens and extra towels for the baths. We really enjoyed our stay

Our family of 4 enjoyed the cabin and surrounding area. The location was very relaxing overall. The pool was a lot of fun and it is a quick drive to Galena and other places of interest.

The house was clean and the kitchen is well stocked for cooking. The bedrooms are very large and comfortable and the AC works great! The golf, pool and boat rental were all fantastic, but a long drive from the house. The house has woods on two sides but is in a subdivision with a house right next door, so not really in the woods. The lot was very small and there is very little space for dogs to run around if they are On the medium size. Lastly, there is no water view at all from the cabin and all the games in the living area were missing pieces and extremely old. The house could use new bath towels. Two of our towels were frayed and should have been used for rags. There were also no facial tissues or clean bath mats to stand on after taking a shower. The outside porch is very dusty from all the ATV’s riding by. Not very welcoming. This seems to be more of a party house, not a place for a family vacation.

The minute you walked through the doors felt like you were home. It was spacious clean and cozy.

Amazing place! The host were accessible and accommodating. They allowed us to make some changes to our stay which meant the world to us! Now to the cabin- beautiful, cozy, well appointed, and in a tranquil setting. Most relaxing getaway we have had n years. Would recommend anyone looking to experience a slower pace (but within a 30 minute drive of some of the best the Midwest has to offer.)

The cabin was absolutely amazing. It was spacious with the perfect amount of natural light. It sits on a prairie reserve around the lake. My son and I enjoyed hiking around the lake and learning about the natural ecology of the region. We spent a few days driving to Galena of course, but we also loved Shullsburg WI (Gracity Hill was so cool!) Dubuque IA and Scales Mound. Unfortunately the Horseshoe Mound was closed but we will visit that on our next adventure to the region. The weather was a bit chaotic but we all know to expect 70s one day and 20s the next lol. I highly reccomend a stay at the Hidden Cabin. We can't wait to go back!
