Beautiful Apple Canyon Lake Log Cabin in the Woods

Come be a kid again at our log cabin in the woods, with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, jacuzzi tub, 25ft tall stone fireplace, and comfortable beds!

Our 'Great Room' gives new meaning to the name, with an open concept kitchen, eating and sitting area and French doors that open onto an elevated cedar deck overlooking the woods.

We do offer a tv and dvd player but no tv channels are available. We do offer fiber internet so you can bring a firestick for streaming. We do try and provide a supply of firewood for renters as a perk but this is not always guaranteed. We also provide a gas grill for you to use.

Please view the AVAILABILITY CALENDAR on the website for date availability. We are sorry, but we cannot lock in dates until deposit is received. Please keep in mind we often receive several inquiries for the same dates. The first paid deposit locks in the dates. The deposit is refundable until 1 month prior to your arrival. Please note that we require a minimum of a three night stay during holiday weekends.

Perfect Cabin Vibe

Exactly what we were seeking...a stone fireplace, window all around to view the beautiful woods, cozy accomodations that suited us perfectly. The only thing missing was a day-lomg snowfall as we totally kicked back to read, sleep, and work a puzzle. We would love to return to this beautiful cabin.

Winter Getaway

We had a wonderful Winter Weekend away at this property. It felt very spacious with two families (4 adults and three children ages 3-8). The cabin is very beautiful and has so much character. We loved playing games and hanging out inside by the fire. The woods surround the cabin, and a path is directly next to it, which lead us to the creek and lake where we created our only hockey rink. Lots of animal prints to explore in the snow! We had a wonderful time and hope to be back next year!

Awesome cabin in the woods!

We stayed a few days for the wife's birthday and some friends came for the last night to celebrate! Plenty of room and very comfy. My ONLY comment is to take a couple hundred bucks and invest in a better TV. Seriously, I almost bought you one in Galena at a 2nd hand place for 40 bucks. Good Idea bringing my Firestick...would have made for a Looooong weekend. Tried the Jacuzzi tub upstairs and didn't want to get out. Would love to see this in the Fall!

Beautiful and cozy cabin

The cabin is really nice. The fireplace was our favorite part on a very cold weekend and we stayed very cozy. There's other houses around but the windows look out to nice views of the woods and it felt very private.

Amazing cabin!

We loved our stay! The cabin was absolutely beautiful and well stocked with everything we needed to have a great relaxing weekend away. The hosts were great and made everything easy for us. We would definitely stay again!

Serene and Relaxing

Our trip to Apple River was perfect! The house was just as described with everything that we could need. The location was great, far enough away from the city so we could enjoy some peace and quiet, but close enough to spend a busy day shopping in Galena. We highly recommend this property!

Great place!

Wonderful cabin tucked in the woods! Spacious and awesome! Here for the Halloween parade that the kids march in with the school marching band. A great experience! Live Galena! Love thus place!

60 Years old celebration

Good experience, Cabin is well kept, and equipped. I was not expecting g homes that close, neighbor lawn mower wake me up Saturday. I suggested to add a safety door to the stairs to the basement.

Great Cabin

Perfect cabin for a getaway. Conveniently located between several spots of interest in the area like Galena and Oak Hill Farm. Cabin was super clean and beds were comfortable. Just wish we were there longer to enjoy it more.

Cabin in the Woods

If you love rustic this is truly your vacation home. During the day the house was a bit dark and we found spider webs between the blinds and the window sill. The cleaning people should be made aware. At night with the lights on the house was a welcoming gathering spot where we cooked together and played cards. The house amenities state there is a TV. However there is neither cable or dish TV which was quite disappointing. Spending all day out exploring it would have been nice to have the opportunity to sit down and watch TV. Not DVDs. Something to think about! The owners were easy to work with and responded promptly to any questions.

This home was comfortable for group of 8. The deck over looks a beautiful backyard. The kitchen was easy to use. Nicely appointed.

Rustic Log Cabin Charm

The log cabin has a lot of space and volume. Three bedrooms that can sleep at least 8 people. The large surround deck is great for quiet relaxing or a loud game of UNO . Tcampfire

Amazing cabin

Beautiful cabin! The listing was not at all misleading. The kitchen was well stocked with spices, pots, pans, utensils, plates, etc. Beds and furniture were comfortable. Phone service was a little spotty for AT&T. The hosts were communicative and kind. Would 100% recommend or return.

Family weekend

The location was great for us being only 10 minutes away from our relatives place. Our grand daughter who’s 4 loved the bunk bed. We had everything we needed. Comfortable beds and very clean. No TV service so we had to watch the USA volleyball final game on our laptop but we knew that they had no TV service. Plenty of tags provided for the pool.

Wedding weekend

Perfect location to attend family wedding at Oak Hill Farm. Clean property and very beds were very comfortable. Lighting in downstairs bathroom could be brighter.

Cozy Cabin

The host was excellent about responding when needed, which was primarily prior to our stay. The house was very clean inside and on the deck. We loved sitting on the raised deck and listening to the birds. The home was a little further from the marina than tan our previous rentals, a scenic 10 minute drive. This home allows dogs but you would never know that dogs stay in the home. Again, super clean and cozy.

Fun Girls Getaway

What a beautiful cabin. We loved the ambiance of this beautiful piece of land in the woods. It was close to shopping in Galena, had the pool and beach access, and plenty of walking trails. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Great place! tons of blankets! tons of cookware, all the basics, everything went so smooth. comfortable place. cool hiking and fishing all around. cant wait to come back!
