Family-Friendly Lakefront Home: Enjoy a Deck, Sandy Beach and Endless Activities

Fred and Carin Sturm have owned this property for 16 years. We are from downstate originally (Union Lake) and moved to Benzonia, MI. in 1992 where we purchased a resort on the Betsie River. We sold that because we wanted to be closer to our kids and grandkids who still live downstate. So we found this wonderful little resort in 2002 and when we purchased it, we built additions on to each cabin to add a full bathroom to each unit. Now our four beautiful granddaughters love to come here and enjoy the lake and making new friends too.

We are blessed to be able to live on this beautiful lake and have the opportunity to provide a comfortable, clean place for families to come, be together and enjoy the good old fashioned pleasures of life like swimming, boating, fishing, playing ball, sitting around a campfire, eating or playing a game on the picnic table in front of their cabin. This is our 15th year here and we owned a similar resort for 10 years prior to this in Benzonia, MI. We have 4 beautiful granddaughters who love being here too. There are always lots of kids to play with and it is fun to make new friends. We truly enjoy getting to know our guests who quickly become Lake George Family Members. Our hearts smile "real big" when we see families hanging out, relaxing, laughing, playing and singing together. It is a real joy to see how the children grow from one year to the next too. Staying on the water's edge watching the sunshine dance off the lake, listening to the breeze moving through the willow trees and birds singing is a refreshing change from anyone's busy life. It is a perfect place to unplug, relax, be still and let God speak to you. Your cabin is clean and comfortable yet has the unique up north, rustic appeal that provides everything you need to help you feel at home (and yes, we have free WiFi). Being only 4 miles from town and the hospital is very convenient. Being 4 miles from Exit 212 on I-75 makes travel time to us very easy too from almost anywhere in Michigan.
