The unit was provided with a temporary microwave and we apologize if one wasn’t made available during your stay. The microwave has since been repaired and is working well. We are in the process of repairing the oven, and its stove top burners are still working. There is an also a second oven in the unit. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused with the appliances. We provide salt & pepper and olive oil, and while not part of our standard, we are happy to provide plastic wrap and tin foil upon request. Bugs are a part of a tropical environment, and while the Honua Kai performs quarterly pest treatments, on occasion pests find their way back in. Our records show you contacted us midway through your stay. Our guest experience manager responded and requested permission to enter the unit, and when we didn’t hear back from you, we ought to have followed up. Our standard of service is to offer a pristine unit upon your arrival and throughout your stay, so we are sincerely sorry that we fell short of our service standard with you.
