Incredible Hiking Without the Crowds

From our neighborhood you can easily access some of Zion’s most spectacular trails without dealing with the main canyon shuttle system. Popular nearby hikes include:

• East Rim Trail
• Cable Mountain

These routes offer stunning views and far fewer crowds. If trailhead parking fills up, Zion Ponderosa also offers a shuttle service to these hikes for a small fee.

Perfect Location for Exploring Southern Utah

Our home is also an excellent base for visiting other incredible destinations:
• Bryce Canyon National Park – just over 1 hour
• Lake Powell – about 2 hours
• Grand Canyon North Rim – about 2 hours.

Welcome! We’re Mike and Sharon. Twenty-five years ago, we moved from Maryland to Logan, Utah, where our four daughters attended college. It didn't take long for us to fall in love with Southern Utah and the incredible beauty surrounding Zion National Park.
After spending time exploring the area, we knew we wanted to make it our home. We built this house as a place where family and friends could gather and enjoy everything this special area has to offer. We also built a smaller home nearby that borders the park, just minutes from the Cable Mountain Trail and several other spectacular hiking trails.
We hope you'll enjoy this home as much as we do and create lasting memories while experiencing the beauty and adventure of Zion's east side.

We chose this location because it sits next to the Ponderosa resort. Also, because some of our favorite hikes are on the east side of Zion. Also this neighborhood is closer to the other national parks, than staying in Springdale where it's much more crowded.

One of the things guests love most about our home is the peaceful setting and beautiful landscaping. Perched above the canyon, the back deck offers breathtaking views across the tops of the pine trees below, creating the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee, watch the sunset, or simply relax and take in nature.
Our home is located just 5 miles from Zion National Park's new East Entrance Visitor Center. Beginning in 2027, shuttle service is expected to operate from the East Entrance, allowing visitors to park at the visitor center and enjoy convenient access to many of Zion's most popular destinations without driving through the park. This makes exploring both the East Side trails and the Main Canyon near the South Entrance even more convenient.
Another feature that makes our location special is that we're right next door to Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort. Guests can enjoy a wide variety of activities, including horseback riding, ATV and Jeep tours, canyoneering, climbing walls, zip lines, miniature golf, swimming, and other family-friendly adventures—all just minutes from your front door.
Whether you're looking for world-class hiking, outdoor adventure, or a peaceful mountain retreat, our home offers the perfect combination of comfort, convenience, and unforgettable scenery.
