Our cabin is located on the bluff overlooking the White River. Enjoy morning coffee on the deck in the midst of the river fog or relax in a lounge chair and watch the sun set. The interior of the cabin features great views from the living/dining area, master bedroom, and kitchen. The cabin has three bedrooms - two with king-sized beds and one with two twins. The master bedroom has an en suite. WiFi is now included. One exterior security camera over front door. Maximum of 6 total guests, including adults and children. No pets. Many outdoor activities nearby including trout fishing, horseback riding, and hiking.

Relaxing stay

We spent a lot of time on the deck overlooking the river. It was so relaxing we didn’t want to leave!!! The location is great. It’s private, but very close to town. The house had everything we needed and wanted. I will keep this house on my list of places I would like to revisit!

Extremely Impressed

The location, facilities and view were even better than the pictures indicated. We had an excellent view of the river. The communication was very clear. The information book at the house was detailed and easy to follow. The things included related to cooking and cleaning were the most comprehensive of any place I’ve ever stayed. You won’t better place to stay in the area.

Beautiful Views, Nice House and Great Location

The pictures and description of property are very accurate. Deck is wonderful. Kitchen is well stocked. Because of the location, no grass/yard for kids and no place for a fire pit. Easy access to Blanchard Cavern and Ozark Folk Center. Ghost town feature might be a bit over-sold.

Beautiful quiet setting. Easy to locate.

Immaculately clean interior, Beautiful quiet setting as seen in pics with river and pastoral views. Very well stocked kitchen (a bit too many pans for cupboard space). Easy layout and entry. AC worked beautifully. Bats come out at night around 830pm and leave guano on the deck but this didn't bother us, we spent time outside on the deck nearer to the master bedroom. Hostess was very responsive when we accidentally locked ourselves outside. She was very apologetic about the outdoor Bat situation, and we as homeowners understand that is beyond her control and she plans to get assist with the problem. Highly recommend unless you don't like Bats.

Just what we needed.

We ran into a few kinks on the way there and back home, but every obstacle was worth our stay in the quaint town of Calico Rock. The view from the house and City Rock Bluff didn’t disappoint! My favorite part was running into the game wardens down at the river in Norfork who directed us to places that were even more beautiful. My spouse and I highly recommend staying here, and don’t be afraid to talk to the locals. You’ll be glad you did. Oh, and most things are closed Monday so be sure to plan around it!

Wonderful Experience

The property was exactly as described. Had more everyday essential items then was listed, like shampoo and conditioner. Everything was very convenient, and the information provided at the house was very helpful for the area.

Absolutely Breathtaking

First, after having issues with booking online the owner responded quickly and helped me book our last minute trip to visit family. This is the perfect place to relax and unwind. We spent the days exploring the beautiful shops and scenery nearby and spent the evenings enjoying the views from the cabin. It was so nice and clean, the host provided everything needed (except food, course) and we shopped at the local grocery about 5 min away. It was an amazing trip!

Very Cozy

Great location, close to town, parks, hiking trails, scenic bypasses, river access and Peppersauce ghost town. Beautiful scenery from the back porch from star gazing to a morning cup of coffee enjoying nature. Cabin was clean and everything worked perfectly. We really enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere.

After years of enjoying the White River, we bought the property in 2009 and began construction on our cabin shortly thereafter. The view from our cabin is unique because rather than just looking across the river, our cabin is positioned so that guests can also see upstream.

The cabin is about a mile away from boat launches for the White River and about 20 minutes away from Lake Norfolk. The area is very peaceful and is a great place to get away from the stresses of a busy life.
