This Updated Home Has Everything!

This great home has 4 bedrooms - 2 queen, 1 king, and 1 bedroom with twin beds, plus a cat napper sofa. There is also a portable cot that sleeps 1. This updated home has updated appliances and granite, and both bathrooms are completely renovated with tile and marble. There is a wonderful screened in porch facing the lake with spectacular, unimpeded views of the water and wildlife. You will love having your morning coffee there and watching the sunrise. The kitchen and living room area is one big open space and is designed for large families. Beneath the screened porch is a patio with a porch swing and outdoor furniture. There are plenty of floats and various sizes of life jackets for enjoying the water, and there is a ping pong table, 2nd bath, and washer/dryer downstairs. There are also 2 kayaks and a paddle board for guests to enjoy. In 2018, we built a beach area at the water front with real beach sand. It's such a nice, relaxing feature, and children especially love playing in the sand. There's also a fire pit for those evening gatherings near the water around the fire. In 2019, we added an additional indoor stairwell leading to the downstairs. If you have a PWC (personal watercraft, like a Wave Runner or Jet Ski), we have installed a landing pad joining the pier where it can be safely parked when not in use. Guests are welcome to bring their own boat which can be parked safely on the side of the pier. (The boat lift is reserved for the owner's boat.)

Perfect Getawaya

Property was exactly as described. Beautiful home with lots of space for our family. We spent mornings on the screened in porch drinking our coffee and watching the sunrise, and evenings fishing and playing games. It truly was the perfect getaway. We enjoyed everyrhing about our stay here and will definitely be booking again.

3rd time staying at this beautiful home!

Great Family Getaway

Our family of 7 had a wonderful time. The home is comfortable and tastefully decorated. The kitchen was supplied with everything we needed for the week. Highlights for us included swimming off the pier, campfires on the sandy beach and tubing on the lake. Owner is kind and helpful We plan to come back!!

Great family spot!

We had a wonderful stay in April at this property! The house was very clean and even more spacious than the pics look! Kitchen is very well stocked with necessary amenities ! The screened in porch was a beautiful spot to look out at the lake! We had so much fun fishing from the dock and kayaking in the provided kayaks. Very relaxing week!!! Owners were very responsive and great to work with! Would definitely stay again!

Another great stay

We stayed at the house in 2022 and looked forward to visiting again. Our group consisted of five adults and a toddler. Our son and his family with three children stayed nearby and visited every day. There was plenty of room in the family room and on the screened in porch. The bathroom in the basement was very convenient when we used the beach. The kids enjoyed the sand beach, swimming, and fishing from the dock. Great place! Look forward to visiting again.

Beautiful, very comfortable and relaxing.

We were impressed from the moment we arrived. The house had everything you need and more. We caught fish off the dock, spent time on the netted off porch and enjoyed a couple red moon rises that were epic.

Badin Lake

We could not have been happier with our stay. The house was well stocked. There was an absolutely beautiful screened in porch with great views. We rented a pontoon and really enjoyed Badin Lake. I would not hesitate to stay at this home again.

Lovely Baden Lake Stay

The whole family really enjoyed our stay in this cozy home. Some of us fished. Some took advantage of the kayaks. Others just enjoyed the view from the awesome deck. The owners anticipated everything you could possibly need. Hope to visit again.

Great location, well stocked house

This house had everything we needed: a very well stocked kitchen, screened deck, lots of table games, 2 kayaks and a paddle board, and a dock for our boat. And it is 2 doors away from a boat ramp and Scallywags grill with weekend live entertainment! The only down side for us was only one bath on the main (bedroom) level. But there is a 2nd full bath in the basement. side was

Beautiful lake house

The stay was wonderful beautiful weekend with all the fall colors! Got married at Stoney Mountain Vineyard about 35 minutes away if you can keep GPS signal for directions (T-Mobile not best in these areas) It is still is a 5 star rating for the house, location and amenities the house provided! Would stay here again. Thank you Dianne for being a great hostess! 👌👍😁

Lake Life

Very good property. Location by lake was great. Rooms were adequate. Facilities were adequate. One problem: The owner left the wrong size of sheet and fitted sheet for the king size bed in the bedroom overlooking the Lake and opening to the back porch. Otherwise, we had an excellent time.

Exceptional

The only complaint I have with this place is the main toilet is really close to the walk in shower door making it a little tricky for us larger folks. The other bathroom was downstairs. The kitchen is well equipped and clean. The whole house was clean and felt new somehow.

Great Home and Great Location

We had a great time at the Watterson's home over Memorial Weekend. This is a great home that has everything you could possibly need. Nice updated and fully stocked kitchen and bathrooms with a great open living space. The bedrooms were nice and were a good size. They were each equipped with luggage racks and drying racks (which made it nice not having everyone's towels and bathing suits all hanging in the bathroom) The screened in porch was very nice with plenty of seating and was a great hangout place in the evenings. The dock was in great shape and had plenty of buoys and anchors for tying off our boat. We even caught some nice bass off the dock. Although we didn't use them, there were lots of games and water sports equipment available for use. Overall this was a wonderful place to stay and we will be booking our next trip soon. The Wattersons are great people and are very easy to work with. They go above and beyond to make sure everyone has a great vacation.

Wonderful views from dock, screened-in porch and house

First time at Badin Lake. My mom and I stayed here in early September. Dianne was a great host and responded to our one question promptly. The house is 4 bedrooms on the main floor with a full bath on each floor (1 bath downstairs in the basement, washer/dryer down there too). 2 kayaks (guessing 8 ft) and lots of water toys (paddle board too). Everything in the main floor is updated (including downstairs bath). Another review noted the upstairs toilet is close to the shower but it did not bother us (I am 5'10"). The screened-in porch was lovely for having our meals (also a dining table in the house) and sun protection. The furniture on the dock was new and so comfy. There is some shade on the dock during late morning and later in the afternoon which is nice. There are 4 ways into the water. It is beneficial to wear swim shoes to get in and out of the water, but not necessary. We loved the house and are already planning to go back a couple times next year during the swimming season.

We are semi-retired Christian couple with four grown sons and seven grandchildren. We moved back to NC in 2015 after being in MD for 12 years on a work assignment. Our home is in Lexington, NC. We own and operate a tree farm on our NC property that grows privacy screen trees. Our lake home is just 30 minutes away.

One thing we really love about this property is the gentle slope to the water. We did not want a lot of steps to walk to get to the water. Another thing we love is that this home is a rancher style. Houses in the Lake Forest area are not jammed on top of each other like in other areas of the lake, so we liked the size of the lot. The property is very close to a marina that has a restaurant.

We both love to fish and enjoy the water, but as we still both work, we decided to share our lovely home with others who would enjoy it like we do. When we started looking for a lake home, we settled on this property, primarily because we love Badin Lake for its superior water quality and beauty. The house needed updating, and we are glad to be finished with all the hard work involved in making this a comfortable and lovely property.
