Fun house

This was a great stay - it would be perfect for several families to use together as there are many rooms and lots of family amenities - backyard BBQ outdoor seating, washer and dryer.

Great stay

Easy check-in process, super cute property. There were lots of games for the kids to play and a big yard. The only issue we had was that one of the bedrooms had dirty sheets when we arrived. Thankfully we were able to find clean ones in another room. Otherwise it was a fun, uneventful stay.

Create location and accommodations

Everything was as expected except for the one bathroom in the house is really not usable for adults. It is a tub positioned in a spot where you cannot stand up, there is no curtain and water would go everywhere. We managed with the single shower. Otherwise, great location!

Great Value

I stayed here in late June and overall everything was great. There were 10 of us and space to spread out (though I'm not sure we would have been quite so comfortable with the 14 people that the listing advertises as the maximum occupancy). The A/C worked great, which was key because it was HOT when we were there. I believe the listing showed two sets of bunk beds, but there was only one (not an issue for us--we had plenty of beds--just an FYI). The rooms were all nice, and the mattresses pretty comfortable. Two bathrooms was a little hard to juggle with so many people but we made it work. The basement is mostly a storage/laundry area but again the rooms were nice. Would definitely consider staying here again if I find myself with a group in the area.

Great location

Andrew is super nice, and the house had many good things going for it: backyard play equipment for little kids, borrowing a bike and kayak, comfortable beds, foosball and other games, well furnished kitchen. With just 2 bathrooms (none on bottom floor where adults would stay) and not enough towel hangers, it's a bit crowded. The air conditioning and floor were COLD, esp in morning (and we're told not to turn it off, but there are no instructions on how to adjust it and we didn't do so successfully). We loved Coeur d'Alene and had a fine week.

Great location, large yard, great for a large group/family

This house is great for a large group or family. The location is super, an easy walk to downtown and quick access to highways and main roads to the other parts of town. There are a ton of beds, all comfortable and plenty of bedding and pillows. The backyard is huge and fenced, there's a swing set and fire pit, very nice added space for the value. Most anything you could need is available in the kitchen. The cons - the property is clearly used by the owners, and as such there is next to no closet and drawer storage available for the guests. There is also decorative clutter on every inch of wall and surface space. Way too many personal photos and way too much just personal stuff everywhere. Furniture is worn and dirty, and there was a strong pet odor in the basement that took days to dissipate. The TV/DVD players were missing remotes or had dead batteries, we weren't able to use most of them. There was also a very large package delivered while we there that we then had to bring in and deal with taking up part of the living room, large as in bicycle sized. In general this house is really more a personal home than a guest friendly rental, but the amount of space, the location and it being pet friendly are all big plus's.

Old friends reunion in CDA

A little background information regarding our group. We were 7 retired men who wanted to meet in Coer d'Alene (CDA) to catch up and ride some of the beautiful rail to trails in the CDA area (there are many!). We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Andrew's rental; the location was good (long walk to downtown, but walkable), the house was clean upon arrival, there was enough space for the 7 of us, the kitchen was well appointed, and plenty of towels and linens were provided. On the downside, there really wasn't space for 7 people to have their own room (the listing says sleeps 14, but that's multiple people per bedroom), 2 bathrooms was tight, and there wasn't enough storage available for our bikes (there's a garage but we didn't have access to it). Overall, we all agreed that the pros outweigh any cons and we would stay at Andrew's if we find ourselves in CDA again.

Every need met.

Host was very communicative, available and patient. My vrbo inbox was not working so host was very gracious with repeating information for me. Water equipment, bikes, birthday candles, abundance of supplies all made our stay super fun. Not one person in our group did not love the bed they slept on. Classic, cute house and yard and a few simple repairs of play equipment would make the outdoor space as perfect as indoor. Thank you so much! We would stay here again.

The outside of the home is a little misleading as you think it will be small but it was very spacious and the home was decorated very nice. Instructions were very clear. Hard to find during night. Wish they would have left the light on to find easier at night

Family fun

This place was very conveniently located. It had everything we needed for our stay and plenty of space. We happened to be there during a heat wave and it was HOT! The house has AC and the basement level was always nice and cool but the rest of the house just couldn't keep up. With that being said... it was extremely nice to have the AC because several of our friends had rented places w/ no AC. The kitchen was well equipped for our needs and the backyard is large and fenced so the kids could play outside in the mornings before it got too hot.

Super cute spacious little gem

The pictures don’t do the house justice, it’s really cute and had plenty of space! It has a spacious living room as well as lots of outdoor space. It wasn’t as close to the lake as we would have liked but we would definitely stay again!

Overall, everything went well. No complaints from start to finish. Owner Andrew responded quickly to emails and questions. We had 13 in the group. 3 levels worked great. Plenty of sofa space if upstairs got too warm at night. Not an upscale neighborhood, but it was quiet. Priced right. Served our needs well. I would not advise groups with small kids, as the owners have many collectables. We had teens to 50's, and it worked great for us. There was no cable or satellite TV. Netflix was provided. You can also bring a laptop with your own subscriptions and plug in to the flat screen. Even so, not a big deal. Actually led to conversation! There is a grass space in the very back of the lot, but we didn't get out there. BBQ is plenty big. Home was clean and the A/C worked well, though tough to cool the top as much as the lower floors. Just over a mile to the downtown and resort area. Walkable, but good parking lots ($1 - $3/hr) near the water. CDL is a nice place for a vacation. The home was great for us.

Cozy and Unique

We had a great stay in CDA and the property was a great space for our family of 10. The beds were comfy and there was lots of room to visit, eat, and gather, including the patio. It was nice to have extra seating everywhere too! The house was certainly within walking distance of downtown CDA, coffee shops, restaurants and fun and unique stores to browse. This is our 3rd trip to CDA with a large group and it did not disappoint! Andrew was very responsive whenever I had questions and made me feel very comfortable with our transaction. Great 60th birthday getaway

We had 5 adults and two young children. The house was the perfect size to relax and enjoy ourselves. Three floors, it felt like we each had our own space. The backyard had ample sitting space and a swing set for the kids. One of the things we enjoyed the most was the proximity to the downtown area, beach and Tubbs Hill. It was a 20 minute walk, which was very doable. An awesome grocery store was about 4 blocks away. Thanks for a great place to stay!

Our wanderlust has taken us to every continent and over 80 countries, where we've had the pleasure of staying in hundreds of vacation homes, each offering its own unique charm. Our home offers the ideal location: close enough to walk to everything, yet far enough away to ensure a quiet and peaceful night's sleep. All of Coeur d'Alene's main attractions are within a picturesque walk from the house. The beach and boat marina at Coeur d'Alene Lake are just a 5-minute stroll away, where you can rent boats and jet skis. Right down the street, you'll find the vibrant Farmers Market and the lively Summer concert series, Live After 5.

While nestled in a quiet residential neighborhood, you're never far from the action. Nearby, you can enjoy great pubs, a community park, a bike rental shop, and a neighborhood grocery store. The house is ideally located within blocks of everything: the beach, golf courses, boating, hiking and biking trails, fishing spots, cliff diving, the city marina, parasailing, batting cages, tennis courts, theaters, ice cream shops, shopping, city parks, pubs, and restaurants. Public transportation and the Coeur d'Alene Lake Resort are also close by, and Silverwood Theme Park is just a short drive away.

Take a closer look, and you'll discover Delft Ware coffee cups from Holland, a fragment of the Berlin Wall, a relic from the Karnak Temple in Egypt dating back 3,000 years, an intricately decorated ostrich egg, a Hopi Indian basket, a traditional Chinese violin, a Balinese carved Komodo dragon, the horn of a Kudu, souvenirs from Rome and Prague, and even a stair banister from a German castle. The walls are adorned with art from local talents, as well as reproductions of masterpieces by renowned artists such as Monet, Manet, Picasso, Van Gogh, Degas, and Cezanne, among others.

While we encourage you to explore the fascinating artifacts within our home, don't forget to venture out and experience the beauty of Coeur d'Alene. Just a short 5-minute walk from the house, you'll discover world-class swimming holes that rival even the most famous lakes we've visited around the world, including Lake Bled in Slovenia, Lake Powell, and the lakes of Northern Italy.
