This delightful semi-detached cottage is situated in the small hamlet of Duror and has been tastefully restored retaining much of its quaint character. To the rear of the cottage there is a lovely garden with views of the surrounding mountains and a variety of wildlife, including visiting pine martens. There are plenty of walks literally on your doorstep and the Sustrans cycle track from Glencoe to Oban runs through the hamlet. Cuil Bay beach is only a mile away with amazing views across Loch Linnhe to the Morven Hills. The area is renowned for its outdoor pursuits, breathtaking scenery and an abundance of wildlife with golden eagles, minke whales and otters often seen.
Nearby activities include mountain biking, climbing, skiing, snowboarding, kayaking, walking, golf and fishing. Take a boat trip to the islands of Mull and Iona, or cross on the Corran ferry and spend a day exploring the Ardnamurchan Peninsula - the most westerly point of the British mainland. Visit unspoilt beaches, castles, museums and distilleries, or take the Jacobite steam train, as seen in the Harry Potter movies, from Fort William to Mallaig and across the Glenfinnan Viaduct. Fort William known as the ’Outdoor Capital of the UK’ and the historic village of Glencoe, are a short drive north, whilst Appin and the bustling harbour town of Oban are a short drive south.
