Great ocean view, Close to downtown: Kona Pacific

Located on the 6th floor, corner unit with wrap around lanai. Enjoy a nightly sunset from the lanai, depending on the season. Walking distance to downtown, beaches, shops, restaurants and farmers market. Included in unit are a stacked washer and dryer. Kitchen is stocked with all the utensils you will need. TV in living room and bedroom. Free cable TV, WiFi and a wireless printer. Complex has nice pool with BBQ's, luscious grounds and tennis courts across the street for your use.
If you decide to rent a vehicle for your stay, you will definitely appreciate the covered parking in the garage. The complex does have a 6 foot, 6 inch height limit at our entrance so most vehicles will not have an issue at all parking in the covered parking. We do have one assigned parking space in the garage for your use. We suggest renting a small to medium size car to be easily able to get into the parking spot.

Great place to be

We loved our stay at this condo - very nice!Appreciated being able to walk to stores and restaurants look. The kitchen was perfect and the living room furniture very comfortable. The lanai was wonderful with a great ocean view where we could comment on is the shades. It was warm and sunny everyday and sometimes we would have liked to be able to keep the sun out of the living room but shades did not work properly. Otherwise, stay was perfect.ratng 5.8

The place and location were exactly as advertised. Very clean and well located with great sunsets. The AC could be better, but overall a great stay.

Clean, comfortable

The condo was difficult to find at night upon arrival. Otherwise, it was perfect! Clean, comfortable, lovely view, close to town. Great pool area, too. Very well outfitted. Kitchen was well supplied with spices, etc. The only thing I’d upgrade are the frying pans. Loved the washer/dryer in unit. Comfy bed. We had a wonderful visit and would stay here again.

Great spot!

This was our second stay, and it was just as great as the first. The location is ideal, the size of the lanai is excellent, and there are sunset views every night. We would highly recommend this Kona property!

Excellent in every way

The location near downtown Kailua is quiet yet convenient. We traveled easily around the whole island. The top floor condo is exceptionally clean with great views. It is fully equipper and everything works well. Yoga mats were a nice surprise. The owners were very responsive. Overall, it was a great experience.

Great location and view

This property has been well reviewed by others. To add, I'd share that the bed has been replaced since the time of a poor review, and is very comfortable. There are some much appreciated amenities like a beach bag, washing machine pods, starter coffee, used shopping bags, soap, shampoo and conditioner, and enough toilet paper for the week. To make my review 5 star would take an upgrade to the noisy, inadequate AC unit (bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper), fixing the blinds, cleaning the area rugs (stained), a good deep clean (black marks on walls) and repaint (one wall in bedroom looked repaired, and had primer on it). I'd suggest the owner have a maintenance checklist for the cleaners including being sure lights are working. Communication with the hosts was excellent and they generously answered questions ahead of the stay. Ed responded quickly to a missing overhead light remote and replacing a lamp bulb. Maholo

nice but parking was a pain

The property was lovely. But getting into and out of the designated parking space was tricky, if you did not have a small car. We rented a full size car and getting it into. the parking space in their garage was not easy. I was laways worried that I was going to scrape the rental car doors on the lartge posts that you had to navigae to get into and out of the small space. The unit itself was very nice. We enjoyed that it was close to the downtown restaurant area. It was quite large and well appointed.

GREAT OCEAN VIEW CONDO

This condo is perfect for one couple, although it still would work for two. It was exactly as described. Great lanai, two full bathrooms (very nice), and walking distance to all the downtown Kona restaurants. The bedroom a/c unit kept us cool while sleeping. We will probably try to return next summer. Karen and Ed were very responsive to all our questions. One note, the garage and assigned parking space is very "tight". Rent a small or mid sized vehicle, be careful driving in the garage. The parking space is located close to the elevator, very convenient.

Restful Retreat

We had a wonderful time staying in Karen and Ed's beautiful condo. The place was very clean, well supplied with a very nice gift of Hawaiian coffee and dark chocolate covered macadamia nuts! The bed was very supportive and comfortable with a choice of pillows. The lanai was where we wanted to be when there was a breeze and not so humid. Lovely, comfortable furniture on the lanai as well as inside. We thoroughly enjoyed getting rested and recuperated here and it was great to be able to walk to town and get something to eat or shop in less than 10 minutes!! I know the next time we go to Hawaii, we definitely will be staying in their beautiful home!! Thank you so much Ed and Karen for letting us stay in your restful retreat!

Wonderful stay!

It was a wonderful four days. I wish I could have stayed longer. We had a corner room with an ocean view and a large lanai. The layout was very open and airy. The location was very quiet and comfortable, even though it was only one street up the mountain from Alii Drive. It was also very conveniently located within walking distance of the center of Kailua-Kona. One disappointment was that the blinds were broken in two places and I hope they will be repaired as soon as possible. I would like to stay here again next time.

Great place, clean, and modern

This condo is great, with views, modern upgrades, along with the extras, make vacationing so easy and enjoyable, great location as well. Only issue is parking is very tight, make sure to have a midsize or smaller vehicle

Wonderful accommodations

The condo is great! It’s clean and bright and beautiful. The kitchen is well equipped. We ate only once at a restaurant. The rest of our 10 day stay we ate on the lanai with its great views and beautiful sunsets. We highly recommend this condo complex and this condo in particular. The pool was awesome, too!

Another Excellent Experience

This is our fourth time at Kona Pacific and our second consecutive stay at Ed & Karen’s condo. Everything from booking, confirmation, check-in, cleanliness, location, and view was excellent! We take advantage of the local restaurants and live music and with everything within walking distance allows us to leave the car behind. And also being beach people, the beach supplies (beach chairs, cooler, towels, etc.) exceeded our expectations again. We look forward to booking this condo again for our next visit to fabulous Kona!...Keith & Drina J.

Nicely furnished and equipped, nice view and great lanai. Vertical blinds in living room still not working. Saw that comment in a previous review. I guess the owners don't think it is important, but without them the sun will shine right on you in early morning, not good if you want to sleep in on the sofa bed.

Outstanding ocean view

The view from the lanai is truly spectacular. However the condo itself could use a few repairs. The sticky screen door to the lanai was annoying, as was the fact that the blinds don't work and figuring out how to turn on lights, fans etc was not always straightforward. Be advised that although room dividers are available, the distance between the bedroom and the living room hide-a-bed is very short. So sleeping quarters are in close proximity, which may not work well for everyone when sharing accommodations.

Everything was wonderful! Perfect location!

We absolutely loved our stay here. The check-in process was very smooth, it was easy to find the property and the parking space in the garage with the easy-to-follow instructions that were shared with us. The condo itself was very very clean and exactly what we expected from the pictures. The location is perfect. It is easy walking distance to the main boardwalk area in downtown Kona and we enjoyed walking to get breakfast and coffee every morning at our "usual" spots. The views from the lanai were stunning! The only disappointing part of the stay is that the pool was closed for repairs for our entire stay (which was one of the deciding factors in booking this place) - all was well though since we packed our days pretty full and did not have much free time that we would have been able to spend there anyway! The hosts left lots of thoughtful and helpful things for us - there was a laundry kit so we could do a few loads of laundry without needing to run out to the store to get detergent, etc. They left coffee for us too! The bed was VERY comfortable and I very much appreciated that they left multiple pillows for us to use (I am a multiple pillow sleeper myself). The AC unit in the bedroom was more than sufficient to keep us cool at night, especially with the dividers up between the rooms to keep the cool air in. Can't say enough good things about the property, would highly recommend staying here! I would definitely stay here again.

Great Stay

This was a wonderful property. It was well appointed and very comfortable for 2 of us. We loved the views from the lanai...enjoyed our morning coffee there as well as watching gorgeous sunsets. It is within walking distance of downtown Kona, (but not really within walking distance of a beach, which wasn't a problem for us). We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Vacation for 2

This property in Kailua-Kona has everything that we needed for a perfect location. This is our second time staying in the unit because we liked it so much the first time. It is walking distance to town and the lanai is very large with a partial ocean view. We will definitely come back again.

Fantastic Location and Thoughtful Touches!

This was an amazing place to stay! It was walking distance to restaurants, and easy to get around. I really loved the thoughtful touches that helped us get the most out of Kona! There were beach chairs, boogie boards, a cooler, and a well-stocked kitchen. There is an air conditioning unit in the bedroom, but the main room could get toasty. We were out most of the day, so didn't bother us. Pro Tip: if you use the room dividers, it really helps keep the air conditioning when you're sleeping.

Great Location

Nice apartment with a great view of the ocean. Lots of dining within a short walk. There are some small beaches nearby, but the nicer ones are a good distance away.
