We love this cottage. This was our third year here. As prior years we really enjoyed our stay, despite the weather. Located off the beaten path, its an excellent escape to enjoy peace, comfort, solitude and nature.

We wanted a small property on the DE Bay in the Cape May area that allowed dogs so we could let our dog run on the beach while also enjoying beautiful sunsets every night. This secluded cute little house fit the bill! We loved just how quiet it was and tucked away from everything. We had coffee every morning on the large deck while listening to the waves lapping on the beach and enjoyed happy hour each evening watching spectacular sunsets. We went into Cape May a couple times for dinner and shopping but otherwise we were happy to just hang out at the house and take long walks on the beach. I’m sure we’ll book this property again in the future.

Great location! About 15 minutes to Wildwood, Cape May and Avalon. The view from deck is amazing as we watched sun come down every night from there!

An amazing stay from beginning to end. Lila and Steve provide so much information to optimize every second of your stay. The location is ideal for seclusion while having easy access to all the activities the area offers; beach walks, fishing, bird watching and area attractions. So much fun!

Amazing sunsets

Great location with a wonderful view of the bay right off the deck. We had the most beautiful weather and truly enjoyed idyllic sunsets, walks on the beach, and our four-legged buddy loved her swimming!

Loved everything about the cottage

Cozy cottage just the right size for family of four. Enjoyed sunset every evening from the deck. Overall a great experience.

Perfect little getaway

Owners were a pleasure to deal with and were very responsive and helpful. Location was extremely private with beautiful views. We honestly can’t wait to go back! Thank you Lila!

Birding Trip

Was perfect for our stay, no issues. Was able to bird from the deck at low tide and use a scope for shorebirds and the Red Knot.

Easter Getaway

Wonderful, serene, quiet cabin. Had everything we needed for a nice, fam comfy, beachy short getaway. Owner communication superb. A real gem. And you know its good bc our dog loved it too!

Delaware Bay Cottage

We had a wonderful stay at Lila and Steve's cottage on the Delaware Bay. The cottage is well-equipped, very clean, comfortable and peaceful. Enjoyed our walks along the beach with our dog, Rosie. We had less than ideal weather, so missed any sunsets and unable to enjoy the patio, but this is the one place we want to return to again and again in the future.

Cozy, peaceful, revitalizing

More spacious than I had expected; extremely comfortable and well-appointed. Wonderful access and view to the beach (a few yards across the dunes) and easy driving access to other attractions on Cape May. Really great communication and information from kind, responsive host. A fantastic getaway.

Comfortable, Snug, Nature Everywhere

Incredible water view! We (two couples) wanted a relaxing, fully-equipped cottage with ready access to a variety of seashore experiences-- beach, wetlands, places to walk among trees and birds. We got that and more-- gorgeous sunsets over the water and a cozy feeling of being right in the midst of nature. We loved it!

This is our second time at the cottage. The property is secluded and serene. Our hosts are always pleasant, accommodating and accessible. I think my Sheepadoodle loves it more than my Sister and I!!! It's such a joy seeing her enjoying the long walks on the beach, swimming and getting such good exercise. There's nothing better than the enclosed deck with the view of the beach and the incredible sunsets

Peace and quiet on the water

A view from every window. Beautiful sunsets. We saw all kinds of birds, saved some horseshoe crabs, heard many frogs and toads, saw a lot of rabbits and loved every second of it. Very nice, communicative hosts. Really great directions to the house. This is a prime spot for nature lovers!

Our stay was cozy and quiet. Loved the chorus of bull frogs during the nights!! It's just a hop and skip over the dunes to the beach. My 9 yr old grandson had the time of his life as did our dog and us too. thanks so much. we will definitely check if available again!

Tucked away cottage in Cape May

Certainly! Here's the revised text: The property's location makes you feel as if you're "off the grid," but it's actually close to many areas. Downtown Cape May, Wildwood, and Stone Harbor are all within a 20-minute drive or less. The view from the deck is stunning, and we spent more time outside than inside. Lila was such a gracious and responsive host. We would highly recommend this place with five stars.

Quiet Cottage with an Amazing View!

Our decision to stay at Lila and Steve's cottage was one of the best long-weekend getaway decisions we have ever made. The view is incredible. The cottage is clean and comfortable, and it sits on a very large, mostly undeveloped property. Seeing bald eagles on the beach during low tide and enjoying the beautiful landscape were among the several highlights of our time there. The location is also quite convenient. We enjoyed the feeling of being out in nature while also being able to hop in the car and drive 15 or 20 minutes to Cape May. We will definitely look to return to this amazing location.
