We Had a wonderful time at Ella's Place. Had almost all our kids down for the labor day weekend and we had plenty of room and the river was just a short walk away. Will definitely go back again.

Donny was a fantastic host! He was easy to communicate with and very responsive. We could all tell how much he loves these properties.River access on the property was super convenient and made logistics for our group a lot easier.

Perfect spot

We loved our stay! It was the perfect set up for our crew with young kids. Short walk to the river and plenty to do up by the house in the evenings!

Awesome Trip

We go every summer and this has been our favorite house to stay in so far! The house has a lot of space and the outdoor area is great. It’s a short walk or drive down to the water. And the host, Donny, was helpful and always available.

Great location and plenty of room inside and outside for all of us. The owner was very, very pleasant and helpful! We would definitely recommend this property.

Great place to stay

Great place to stay. Donny was an excellent host, and this is a great location. You can walk right down to the water. Everything is as advertised. We're planning to be back again next year! June 2018

25th wedding anniversary trip

Loved everything about this property. We have 5 families in our family including a 2 months old, 9 month old, 2 3 year olds and a 5 year old plus 10 adults, the house was perfect for us!

House perfectly fit our family vacation

House fit our needs perfectly. Location was amazing and access to river I’d on the property. Owner walked us thru the house and outside property to show us around. Very friendly and accommodating

Haggeville Heaven

Would highly recommend Donny Haggerton’s properties! Our hosts, Donny and Sid, are attentive, friendly and very accommodating to all your needs. This property is a very short walk to the river and the riverfront accommodations are excellent!! Would highly recommend these properties!

It was a great pleasure hosting Gail and her family and friends, they were always cooking something and we’re very gracious and feeding Sid and I, we enjoyed the crawfish and chicken wings.... They followed all the rules and left the place nice and clean. They are always welcome back to vacation Frio River. I recommend to all host to rent to them anytime, they are awesome people

We really enjoyed our stay here! The bedroom layouts were perfect for 3 families. The outdoor area was our favorite spot. Kitchen was supplied with everything we needed for large meals. Only small issue was we didn’t have enough coffee cups for our large group. The river spot is a short walk. Maybe 300 yards. The host is super friendly and we enjoyed meeting him. We will definitely stay here again!

Great spot on the Frio

Although there was no floating the river this year, this spot on the river still had plenty of water to sit out and enjoy. We loved that it had river access, a swim spa and when able to float, they shuttle you and you float back to the property. My family has been going to the Frio for over 40 years. We’ve never stayed anywhere that offered so much!

Memories made here!

What an amazing place to celebrate my mother's 50th birthday! We had plenty of space & really enjoyed the outdoor area where we spent most of our time. Donny was an awesome host! Communicated clearly leading up to our stay & made sure we had everything we needed once we arrived (including ice). Donny takes care of his property & his guest, and we will definitely seek him out in the future.

I’m a retired Dry Cleaner from South Texas, that moved up to the Frio River in 2016 and built these glamorous homes on the land that my mom and dad bought in 1960, I run them with Passion and Delight seeing renters come here year after year enjoying their family getaway on my beautiful resort.

I chose this area because my parents bought this land in 1960 for our family to enjoy over the years, I've kept it in my family and kept my father's dream of having friends enjoy it for many years to come. It was literally in the backwoods and we would not see a soul around. We would come and do our family vacations year after since I was born

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

This property is unique because it's still in our family. We have private riverfront for our guest to enjoy, many of the countertops, wood tops, and bar tops, that you will see I actually custom built myself, using my sawmill and trees that came off this property or nearby counties. I own it myself, I manage it myself, just as I did my dry cleaning business for 38 years using my people skills and building skills to give my guest an experience they won't find in this area! I guess I'm friends that come back and enjoy the special place I've built.
