Interaction with Guests
We are available to make your stay more than just comfortable; we consider it our goal to ensure your experience goes beyond just great. Both of us work during the day, and oftentimes from home, but are typically at home in the evenings and weekends. We live in the main house about 15 feet from the carriage house. We're also easily accessible via text, phone or email.
The Neighborhood
Dilworth is one of the most popular neighborhoods in Charlotte. Our street is lined with 100-year-old bungalows and tons of trees. One block away is East Blvd. which features dozens of unique restaurants, cafes, shops, and other retail options. You can walk the 2 or 3 blocks to dinner, or to beautiful Latta Park for a picnic, game of basketball, tennis or playground time for your children.
Getting Around
In addition to all the Dilworth amenities, you can walk to South End which is full of some of Charlotte’s best shopping. You can shop from local boutiques, homegrown t-shirt companies, and home design showrooms, and then walk a block down the street to hit some of the best national retailers at Atherton Mill and the Design Center. The neighborhood is filled with art galleries, artist studios, bespoke stationers, custom clothiers, and more as well as the incredible rail trail lined with restaurants and bars. The light rail is 1/2 mile from the house and in about 3 stops you'll be in uptown Charlotte--Carolina Panthers stadium, Charlotte Knights baseball, museums, nightlife and more. Or take an Uber for about $5.00. We're 15 minutes from Charlotte-Douglas airport, and 15 minutes from SouthPark Mall.
Other Things to Note
Coffee, tea and hot cocoa are provided for all of our guests. Our outdoor private patio is perfect to enjoy a fresh, hot cup early in the morning, or a glass of wine in the evenings.
