The Dans are incredibly attentive hosts. They are quick to reply and any issues are resolved quickly. The only reason I gave a 4 star was some issues with hot water which hosts responded to. The property is stunning and peaceful.

We were lucky enough to snag this gorgeous property for our annual get together. The location was perfect...about a 15 minute drive into Picton but far enough out of town to be surrounded by fields and beautiful old outbuildings.The house was spacious, bright, clean, the kitchen was very well-equiped, the beds were super comfortable, and the host was always quick to respond and was very accommodating. We appreciated the special touches like baskets full of cozy throws for the cool evenings.We loved our time here and highly recommend it!

Our stay was lovely. Lots of space for adults and kids to socialize and play. Clean rooms and bathrooms. Kitchen had everything necessary to cook every meal and we cooked lots. Host was friendly and accommodating. I loved the veggie garden out front and enjoyed the beautiful scenery.

Great place, exactly as advertsied in the picture and description. Lots of room and space for everywhere. Very well equipped kitchen. Very peacefull area. Ideal for a PEC get away with extended family or friends.Communication with owner was excellent.

Great spot for a group

The house was beautiful, just as described in the photos. Great for a group, lots of sleeping options. Hosts were quick to communicate.

Great Thanksgiving getaway

Since 2011 we have been coming to the Prince Edward county for our Thanksgiving getting together. According to our family, this year was one of the best Thanksgiving celebration and we should come back to this place for our Thanksgiving getting together in 2024.

What a beautiful, clean and spacious property! We were there for a Management Strategy Retreat and we had an incredibly productive couple of days. The Dans were highly responsive to any questions we had and the house was more than adequately equipped with everything we needed to make meals. The team raved about the property which was as good outside as in!

12 of us stayed at this beautiful farm house for four nights to celebrate 10 years of friendship. The house absorbed us beautifully with plenty of sleeping options. The farmhouse is just charming and though needing a little tlc, a little paint and minor repairs, it is well equipped with seating and space for a large group. Other than a few minor housekeeping issues of which we addressed with the host we enjoyed our stay . We did not take advantage of the on site yoga studio it looks amazing but definitely enjoyed the property with a wonderful walk to steps down to the water and interesting barns and outbuildings . We loved our all day wine tour with The Local Tour Co and especially enjoyed lunch and live music at the Cressy Mustard Co. A family run business with a commercial fishery meant we had the most delicious pickerel fish tacos and fish and chips! The Dans as hosts were just excellent .

Greatest Property Ever

What a treat it was to stay at the Dans! The properties massive, the grounds beautiful, the kitchen fully stocked, the house incredible, everything and the beds were SO COMFORTABLE. We couldn’t have had a better time. I truly hope to return one day soon. Thank you!!

So peaceful and beautiful.

This was just what I wanted for my retreat to celebrate my birthday and retirement. With lots of land, forest and waterfront to explore, it satisfied all of my guests. As a sustainable retreat, it hits all the marks. Simple changes to the BBQ and kitchen appliances will make this property an incredible and memorable experience. Love the owners responsiveness @welcometothedans. 🧖🏽‍♂️❤️

Fantastic farmhouse for a large group

Beautiful property in close enough proximity to everything in PEC. Two beautiful porches and luscious lawn for hanging out. We were an extended family group that used every bed and it was wonderful. Lots of separate spaces for people to hang out, amazing dining space with a farm table that can easily seat 15 people, functional kitchen (2 fridges!), laundry. Access to water (not for the faint of heart!) if needed, although narrow rocky shoreline. Highly recommended - this is my second stay, and I will return. Hosts were the most responsive of any place I've stayed.

An amazing weekend! We will definitely be back!

We were a group of 8 ladies of a “certain age” celebrating the 10th anniversary of our book club, and The Dans’ place couldn’t have been more amazing. The pictures don’t even do it justice! So much space, room for everyone to have their own bed, comfortable beds and pillows. The kitchen is fresh, clean and spacious with high-end appliances that made it a joy to cook our meals. The walk down to the river was wonderful. The host was very responsive to every message and answered all the questions we had. The keypad entry was easy to use and their house manual had all the info we needed. We absolutely can’t wait to come stay again! An unforgettable weekend!

Simply GORGEOUS

The farmhouse is absolutely stunning, spacious, comfortable and tastefully decorated; and the land it sits on is breathtaking! the whole scenery is like a postal, gorgeous fields, barns, short walk/hike to the water (perfect direct sunset views), neighbouring horses and lambs, .... Owner and property manager were both polite, and responsive, and in short notice, would attend to our needs. I recommend this getaway property to simply relax, and explore all that PEC has to offer.

Homestay Goals

I hosted my small wedding here and it was absolutely perfect. The house was large enough to accomodate up to 14 of us and far exceeded our expectations. We will definitely stay here again in the future. It's beautiful and peaceful; the perfect staycation property. Thank you Dan for quickly responding to our requests and allowing our little pups to stay with us ☺️ 10/10.

Family vacation

We loved our stay at this cottage. It is absolutely beautiful. Comfortable beds and all in all a superbly outfitted cottage. The location is great and we enjoyed everything the cottage had to offer. Would definitely recommend it.

Wonderful house

We rented this property from July 17-24, 2021. The house is located 15 minutes east of Picton, in a very quiet country side. The sunsets on the adjacent fields are wonderful. The house itself is peaceful and has been carefully and tastefully renovated and decorated and is exactly as shown on the pictures. We had a wonderful stay.

Great Property

Fantastic property. We had two families stay here, and given Covid, we didn't use the Sandbanks passes provided. Because of the size of the property, there was a lot to explore. The kids trekked to the water and did some fishing and relaxing. There is a sheep farm next door that we would visit on walks along the highway. Dan was very responsive and communicative throughout our stay to ensure everything was perfect. Overall a great property to unwind from the city, and it was great to venture out to various parts of the county even if it's a bit off the beaten path - Waupoos is very close by (we biked there), and Picton is about a 17 minute drive into town. Would definitely stay again!
