Great house in a nice quite setting. We were there in winter so it was obviously cold, but the log burner was a good past time. Kitchen is well equipped and the yard is enclosed so good for dogs and small kids.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property was beautiful and very peaceful. We were unable to find an outdoor light to be able to use the pizza at night so we just cooked inside. We loved the electric blankets and the fireplace, although it took a while to get it started as the wood inside was still damp. The gardens were immaculate and we loved the swing set. Definitely a great place for a friends weekend away.

Highlands Charm

We had a great stay at the Protestant Hall. The property is lovely and has beautiful views over the surrounding fields.

Quiet getaway

The Protestant Hall was our mini honey moon before our actual honey moon. It was a gorgeous, romantic, quiet getaway. Such a picturesque property. All the amenities were awesome. Fire place was awesome. Highly recommend!

Fantastic property

I recently spent a week at this property. The grounds are immaculate, as was the property itself. Having the additional cottage available was a bonus, and the outdoor fit pit was very hard to beat in the evening. Overall an excellent property. Will be back again. Andrew

Poor experience.

The property was rented without lpg gas. This meant no hot water, cooking or use of gas heater for the first day/evening. The agent provided a small bbq gas tank the next day - this also ran out on 3rd day at 1pm and was not fixed until 6.30pm. Temperature was 6-8 celsius - no discount has been offered

Weekend stay

A superbly presented property that is even lovelier than the photos. The beautiful garden was an extra treat. The open fire worked fabulously when we stayed.

Beautiful sandstone cottage

Such a beautiful property set in a stunning part of the world. Having a glass of wine in front of the fire was a highlight!

Nice property.

Beautiful property and location. Unfortunately the fireplace was in need of extensive repairs ( we work in the fireplace industry) . This meant we hired the property because it had a wood fireplace but it was unusable the whole duration of our stay. And just happened to be during the recent polar blast and freezing weather. Beautiful property but very disappointed with the fireplace situation. Should have been reimbursed for this !
