Steps from the Empress Hotel and Inner Harbour, this south-facing vacation sanctuary is a modern 1044 sq. ft 2 BR/2 Bath unit that can sleep up to six… perfect for couples, families and business travelers.
Arguably offering the best mix of amenities in the city, Calm Waters combines a hotel-style feel with the Vacation Home personalized experience.
The space:
The award-winning Westbank designed "Falls" towers are one of Victoria's top choices for short-stay elegance.
The brick, steel and concrete construction looks brand-new and features underground, secure parking, bike storage and a resident manager.
The amenities are amazing here… fitness room, outdoor pool & deck, 6-person hot tub, and well-appointed common lounge. *check availability with host*
A central garden with a reflecting pool separates the two towers.
Calm Water's location in the South tower means a side-street setting for an extremely quiet stay. The Falls building is very secure, fobs are required for both entry and elevator access.
Our suite features quality finishings with exceptional craftsmanship. Luxury touches range from engineered hardwood flooring to marble tiling in the bathrooms.
The southeast to southwest facing open concept living, kitchen and dining space comes with floor-to-ceiling windows that ensure the entire room is flooded with light. But don't worry about getting too hot… the unit has A/C for the summer months and during winters you can turn on the living room fireplace.
The modern, well-equipped gourmet kitchen includes a large granite island great for entertaining. The stainless-steel appliances are top-tier and include a Wolf gas range with integrated hood fan and built-in wall oven. Italian Shiffini black pinewood cabinetry contains everything required for the most discerning Foodie to prepare a great meal away from home. Pick from the Riedel and Mikasa stemware to serve your white wine, red wine or champagne/prosecco. The dining table comfortably seats four and the island can easily accommodate 2-3 more. Over the fireplace is a 55-inch TV with an extensive package of channels including Crave/HBO.
Being eight floors up, the private,160 sq. ft., south-facing balcony offers postcard views toward BC's iconic Legislature Building and the Empress Hotel. The quality cushioned outdoor chairs will be a favourite place to savour an espresso from the dedicated coffee station.
The two east-facing bedrooms both have quality queen beds with high-quality linens from Brian Gluckstein. In both rooms, contemporary blinds and window coverings provide the privacy you desire. The spacious Master suite also includes a walk-thru closet and spa-inspired five-piece ensuite with heated floor, limestone vanity with double sinks, soaker tub and floor to ceiling marble tile. The second bedroom has a smaller closet with a guest bathroom across the hall for both separation and proximity. The second bathroom includes an extra-large frameless glassed-in shower… again with ceiling-high marble.
Those with a fifth or sixth person in their party can take advantage of a brand new queen-sized American Leather sleeper sofa bed that utilizes the famous Tiffany 24/7 system meaning a guaranteed great night's sleep. This unit is "pinch-free", there are no metal bars that can poke into your spine and the design even allows the sheets to be left on when the bed is put away for the day! It is so easy to open and close even your child could manage it. Ample closet space and their own out-of-sight chest-of-drawers means no living out of a suitcase.
Of course, there are fleece robes for everyone and pool towels as well. Other in-suite amenities include a washer/dryer and extra closet space. Pets are welcome for an additional fee. Bike storage is available. You are responsible for the safety of your bike.
Guest access
When you do decide to venture out - although it may be hard to imagine why you would :) - you will find that the unit is extremely well located… central to everything and only steps from the inner harbour and downtown core.

A 96 Walk Score means you are literally minutes from great shopping, restaurants, theatre, the BC Museum and the ocean and only seconds from the popular Browns Social House restaurant located right in the building.

A month in Victoria
My friend and I had a very well appointed, comfortable two bedroom condo with a superb location one block from the Empress Hotel on the Inner Harbour for 28 nights in March 2024. We loved it and recommend it.

Location,, Location, Location
Wow! Such a great find for our family of four. Located in a safe, clean neighborhood super close to all amenities and the Empress hotel. The condo is beautiful and clean. All the comforts of home with an amazing view of the hotel and parliament building. Would highly recommend a stay!

Location was spot on for exploring downtown eateries and shopping. Easy walking to the harbour and other popular sites. Great jumping off point to exploring beaches and hiking trails.

Great location
Perfect location for walking to Government Street for shopping and dining and very close to the Empress. The property is smaller than we anticipated but we didn't use the property for cooking or lounging very long. The property was very clean and the bathrooms well stocked. The view of Parliament from the living room and balcony is spectacular at night when it is illuminated. The only issue we had was the WIFI went down, and we had to trouble shoot it on our own.
