Great getaway from the city
We absolutely loved our stay here! We'd been looking to tick off a tiny house stay for the longest time & we definitely weren't disappointed! Not looking at our maps properly, it was a lot further from most of the Blue Mountain attractions we originally planned on visiting but we honestly didn't mind in the end as we really just wanted to get away from the city and ended up spending the whole time on the property. Kitchen worked great and we loved the eco-friendly aspect of the stay. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a farm stay/getaway from the city but strongly recommend those travelling for the Blue Mountains to factor in the drive to the main walks/attractions

Lovely Farm Stay
Loved our stay and the tiny house. Surprisingly spacious with everything we needed. The kitchen was very well equipped even though it was compact.

Relaxing for humans and stimulating for dogs!
Lovely location with beautiful sunsets. Ideal for one or two adults. You could squeeze in one or two more if you don't mind dealing with the sofa bed every morning and night, and you spend the majority of your time outdoors. Fantastic for dogs. Well fenced yard, and direct access to acres of safe off-leash zoomies. Only 'negative' points worth mentioning are that there is no toaster (IMO a toaster is as essential as a kettle), and we felt the two houses were perhaps a little too close together for those who like solitude and privacy. On the flip side of that, booking both houses would be ideal if you have more than two adults - or even just want the place to yourselves.

Quiet and peaceful.
This is the first time I’ve ever stayed in a ‘tiny house, it was lovely. Place is obviously small (some might say ‘tiny’) but it’s surprisingly well organised and there’s more than enough room for 1, probably even 2. The place had everything you could reasonable want too, good gas oven and stove, Big fridge freezer, warm and comfortable bed and a hot shower. It rained the whole time I was staying so wasn’t really able to enjoy the out door fire, as I think that would have been amazing to sit out under stars with a fire going to keep warm. As it was it’s a lovely view and if you’re looking for somewhere quiet and still to go and escape the world this is pretty much perfect. One bit of advice I would suggest is to bring a pair of slippers to wear indoors as the floor can be very cold in winter, and it’s not nice to wear shoes inside.

I used to spend my working days on, and under, the water as a marine biologist, then we bought a farm...

... it had one rosemary bush, nothing edible, neglected pasture BUT endless potential.

So we started raising crops and livestock to feed our own family.

At some point, we had surplus (including enough sauces and relish for the coming of the zombie apocalypse), so I started selling it. People liked what they bought and everything took off from there.

This required a 'seasonal education'.

At 1000m, we had to learn (and never stop learning) about our land and how it is affected by the seasons. This involved, letting things seed and waiting until they sprout to discover when to sow and harvest. Same for livestock: where they do well, when and for how long.

And, of course, you can't take the science out of the scientist so experiments are always happening and data is always being gathered :)

Today, we have a productive vegetable garden, fruit orchard, chickens and Australian White sheep run on native and improved pastures.

We’re really proud of what we've built over the last few years. It’s great to see the kids eating healthy, understanding how to grow their own food, how to look after livestock … and welcoming others to enjoy our place. Hope to see you soon!
