Teal cottage was a beautiful property and conveniently located to restaurants, shops and the national parks of Chinoteague and Assateague. We were there when the Noreasterner came up the coast. Due to flooding on the causeway we were able to leave at the given checkout time. The agent at Seaside Vacations was very understanding and advised us to remain at the house till the causeway was reopened. would gladly return to this cottage

The property was perfect for us. All was in good order. Large yard on water. Plenty of space in the house. An abundance of porches in all direction. We had a great time. Thanks for letting us stay.

Loved Teal Cottage!

Great house in a great location

The house was very clean and comfortable. Located in a very accessible area of the island, it was easy to get to everything we wanted. We will definitely book this house again!

Quick off-season getaway

We rented this home during the autumn season for a quick getaway but would love to come back in the summer. The house is as described and very well kept. We loved the location and views.

Great Property

Came here for a beach/hiking/writing retreat. Wanted something a bit more private and peaceful than the many hotels and rentals crammed together on the island. Teal Cottage was the perfect place and I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

We can't wait to go back

We LOVED the teal cottage. It was perfect for me, my sister and brother in law, husband, and 2 year old daughter. The setting was quiet and fun, the space was open and clean. We really can't wait to go back!

Our first visit to Chincoteague!

What a wonderful town a the perfect home for our vacation! The house had everything we needed for a great week in Chincoteague. It was very clean, all the necessities in the kitchen to prepare meals, lots of outdoor options to sit and relax. A++ for Teal Cottage.

Very nice home and great location

This home was very nice and we enjoyed our weekend. There could be more offered in the way of toilet paper, kleenex, etc.

Overall, we enjoyed staying at this property and particularly appreciating the location and the nice backyard. We found it somewhat comical that only a small amount of toilet paper and dish soap was left on the premise. In the upstairs bed that we slept on wasn't great. We appreciate the host's opening up there home for our stay.

Hi Morgan! Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a review. We supply guests at all of our homes with a starter amenity bag that includes a few rolls of toilet paper, a roll of paper towels, dish detergent, etc. This is intended to help guests get settled in for their first couple of nights! We appreciate the feedback regarding the bed, and will have our inspectors check that out to ensure all is well. Beds can be pretty subjective as some guests prefer firm mattresses while others prefer a softer one, but we'll be sure to take a look! Lovely home as advertised

House was spacious, clean and well furnished. Loved having the porches and views of water from 2 sides! Very clean and fresh. No complaints!

Quiet Haven

The Teal cottage was perfect for our family of 6. It had all the space we needed and the perfect fenced in yard for small kiddos (which is especially important near a body of water). The location was exactly what we were looking for, convenient yet serene. We saw 3 deer on the property the very first day! We would highly recommend this vacation spot and would absolutely rent it again!

Duck trip 2024

This is our 2nd year in a row at the Teal Cottage. Property is well maintained and works perfectly for our group of 5. It is in a convenient location in a great neighborhood. Views of the pond are outstanding. If we come down next year for another duck trip we will definitely be back.

Lovely home by a bay

Teal Cottage is large and very well kept. It was very clean and had some of the products available that they told us we had to bring - toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap etc. When there were small problems with the house, the Seaside Vacations representative responded to solve them pleasantly and quickly. We had a very pleasant vacation there.

Great house and location

Loved our trip to Chincoteague and this little cottage.. Great garden for the kids to play football and all round good facilities. House has clearly been sprayed for bugs but still got some pesky ants and cockroaches trying to join us on holiday - saw a couple of patches of dead bugs around the house. To be expected on this swampy isle..

Lovely stay at the Teal Cottage

Wonderful stay at the Teal Cottage with a group of 3 couples. Common areas were spacious and well arranged. Several deck areas with stunning views. We used the gas grill and the fire pit. Bedrooms were perfect for two couples, the third is more suitable for kids but we managed fine. Property was clean and well decorated. We biked right from the house to Assateague. Plenty to do in Chincoteague. And lots of historic towns to explore a short drive away. Would rent this property again!
