Just blocks from the Manzanita Golf Course and the biking and hiking of Nehalem Bay State Park, On the Sand is aptly named right out the door is dune grass and sand right down to the surf. Walk for miles, enjoying northern views of majestic Neahkahnie Mountain. When you retreat to your home after a long day of exploring the coast, you’ll find a classic Oregon cottage with wood-lined walls, a vaulted ceiling, and tall windows that take full advantage of the ocean views. The living room has plenty of comfortable seating and a large flat-screen TV/DVD, a CD player, and books to keep you entertained. The dining room beside view windows opens to a wind-screened deck for extending your dining options from the fully equipped galley kitchen. The primary bedroom has a walk-in. If access to the beach is at the top of your wish list for a coastal stay, On the Sand is a classic choice!

Great location!

This was a perfect place for our yearly girls getaway, it was perfect location for beach walking or just enjoying the view Very clean and very cozy!

Wonderful beach house - almost completely renovated recently - so has a clean and fresh feel in bedrooms, bathrooms, etc. The south side patio with wind screens perfect for the manzanita afternoon winds, and the short 2 minute walk on the dunes/sea grass trail is sort of fun, like a little adventure each time. Can still hear and see a bit of ocean even though there are dunes in between house and beach. Only recommendation relates to convenience. When staying at a house with a family one needs more than 1 tiny bottle of dish washing soap, and shampoo/soap, and 2 pods of laundry soap, for example. And there were a number of small, yet somewhat annoying things like this - especially for a family who flew in from 4 parts of the country and cannot just buy a bottle of shampoo and bring it home. Also, the 10am check out is too early. Paid for 7 days and nights, but got in only 6.5.

Spring Getaway

Awesome stay

Well appointed property, clean and comfortable, the beach is amazing we enjoyed long walks on the beach and beautiful sunsets. I highly recommended staying there.

Exactly what we were after. Short private path over the dunes out to the beach. Quiet. Incredibly comfortable beds. You could even see the ocean from the living room. It was perfect.

Great house and location, had a great time. A DVD player is listed in the amenities, but wasn’t in the house that I saw…not a huge deal but some plans were foiled without it. Would rent again without hesitation. Thank you.

Better than the listing!

The house was even better in person than in the listing photos! Plenty of room for us to spread out and sleep comfortably (the beds are great). The beach is gorgeous and a short walk through the dunes. We'd come back in a heartbeat!

Just what we needed!

This property was clean and cozy! It accommodated our group of 4 friends perfectly. We appreciated the living spaces and 3 full bathrooms was a bonus!

Sun Surf Sand

We had a terrific stay on our annual Sister-Sister trip to Manzanita. It was the perfect location to explore up and down the Oregon Coast and have a clean, comfortable home on the ocean to return to each day.

As advertised

Great house and location. Clean, easy access to the beach. Would stay there again. EV plug wasn’t grounded for Tesla charger was only issue for us.

Manzanita Home on the Beach

This home is exactly as described in the pictures. It was very clean and perfect for our family. The distance from the house to the beach was much shorter than I thought it would be. We loved the house, the beach and the beautiful sunsets!

Manzanita

The house was newly re-decorated on the inside and updated. The two king beds in both bedrooms were very appreciated. Loved having coffee in the morning on the sunny side patio with shelter from the wind.

Mini Vacation in the Dunes

Enjoyed a great 3-night stay at this little bungalow tucked into the dunes. House was better than advertised, and bigger than it appears. Nicely remodeled bedrooms with king beds and huge bathrooms, everything clean, private despite being tucked in among other beachfront houses, and a bright living space—kitchen + living room—with panoramic views of the grassy dunes and the surf. Will definitely return.

Utilitarianism girls getaway

Beautiful house that is very clean and comfortable. 3 bedrooms with 3 bathrooms was perfect. Only suggestion is to have easy to carry beach chairs down to ocean. Also we wanted to check out an hour later but they wanted an extra $50. So we checked out on time. Hope to be back and highly recommend.
