We enjoyed our stay was great location and the views are amazing. We loved the abundance of beach gear and towels. Kitchen had plenty of cookware for making meals. House was clean and beds were comfortable. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

The view of the ocean was outstanding!!! Possibly the best view in Hawaii from your back porch. Staying near Hilo was calm and convenient to the National Park and Mauna Kea and only a couple hours from everywhere else on the island! The hosts were so welcoming and hospitable!! I would highly recommend that anyone who wants to have a magical experience in Hawaii to stay here!

The host is outstanding! The house is on a cliff overlooking the ocean with the waves right below. We’ve returned many times, and consider it one of our favorite places to stay.

The house was absolutely AMAZING! The view for our morning coffee was perfect everyday. We went to the farmers markets, Volcanoes national park, Hawaiian Botanical gardens, black sand beach, Jackie Reys in Hilo for dinner, and walks along the cliffs. You will definitely need to have a car, but it was easy to navigate around the island.The bedrooms and bathrooms were all very comfortable and had plenty of towels. The kitchen is roomy and had everything we needed. The communication with Mike was great. He gave us updates on the volcano eruption and told us about the Maku'u farmers market. The houe guide they have is a great source for local things to do.We hated to have to leave.

Beautiful location!

The property's location was perfect for visiting the Puna area, local waterfalls & Hawaii Volcano National Park. The setting is quiet and the view is incredible.

We had a fantastic stay! The host was incredibly helpful and communicative from day one. The house is perfectly designed, offering ocean views from every room including the bathrooms. The covered balconies were a highlight, making it easy to enjoy the waves even in the rain.A few things to note for future guests:Accessibility: The stairs to the house and main area are non-standard and require some physical effort to navigate.Windows & Air: Some windows are stuck due to salt air, but plenty of others work, and the fans provide great airflow.Sensitivities: The home had many scented plug-ins active upon arrival. If you have allergies, you may want to unplug them immediately.Location: It’s a secluded 5-6 miles from town. We recommend stocking up at Walmart before arriving, as prices are much better than Foodland.This is a beautiful, quiet retreat—perfect if you're looking to stay in and relax!

Beautiful & peaceful

Beautiful home right on the Oceanside cliffs. Nestled in a quiet neighborhood approx 30 min SE from Hilo and conveniently located near Volcano National Park. Comfortable amenities and we were welcomed with a generous snack basket and Hawaiian music.

Heavenly!

Hale Pale was fantastic! The views were excellent, and we had every thing we needed for an awesome stay on the East side. Appreciated their guidebook very much!

Beautiful, wonderful, amazing stay on the lava cliffs. House had everything we needed - many many appliances, common spices, coffee (coffee, pods and filters), welcome snacks, beach chairs, plentiful beach towels, snorkel gear, cooler, etc. Lania views were priceless. Host went above and beyond to help us get where we needed to go when we needed to go for viewing of the active volcano. Sea turtles, dolphins and nenes did not disappoint. Convenient location for a ton of fun activities on the Hilo side of the island. Don’t hesitate. It’s truly wonderful!

Rigjt on the Surf!

Beautiful location. The faint sound of surf pounding on the rocks was such a wondeful soundscape to our time here. Very welcoming hosts, great facilities, terrific communication. Convenient washer and dryer. Could not have asked for a better 1st impression of Hawai'i! You will not regret booking this location.

great place to stay

Great house. Easily and comfortably houses a family. Picturesque view. We saw many sea turtles; a little too late in the season to see whales (late March). All the accessories you will need: beach towels, scuba equipment, umbrellas, binoculars, and more.

Pali Hale is THE place to stay near Hilo

The house is beautifully laid out. The full lanais on both floors are wonderful. The kitchen is fully equipped. The view is outstanding. The host is exceptional. We've made our reservations for next year.

Peaceful stay in Paradise Park

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely home in Paradise Park. It’s very peaceful and the views are spectacular. The home was very comfortable, well stocked and had everything we needed for a great stay. The added extras were very much appreciated!! The hosts were exceptional with great communication and information on everything to do and see in the area. We would love to stay again on our next visit. Thank you very much!!

Idyllic!

We so enjoyed this spacious home and the incredible views. There were only two of us but it would be ideal for 2 or 3 couples. The hosts have readily available an abundance of beach supplies, books and games, binoculars, and outdoor seating. This was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the setting.

Pali Hale Paradise

We love this house, and have been returning to it for many years. The sunrises while sitting on the lanai having coffee in the morning are spectacular. The kitchen is fully appointed, and the great room with vaulted ceiling is welcoming. A wonderful place to have as a base while enjoying activities on the Big Island.
