Great base for a Chatham fishing trip

Friends of mine from Colorado and Montana joined me for a week of fishing in Chatham. While the fishing was so so, the place was perfect for shore fishing in Chatham. No more than a 15 minute drive to any one of several water access points in Pleasant Bay, Nantucket Sound, and Chatham Harbor. House was clean and comfortable. Deck is a great spot to relax and unwind after fishing.

Nice house in Chatham

Nice house with a lovely deck. Not walkable to much, but in a nice central location for exploring beaches and the town of Chatham. The fenced in yard was great for our dog!

Good location. Home needs work.

Chatham is a quintessential Cape Cod destination, which is why we chose this property. My family of five had enough space to sleep comfortably in the four bedroom two bathroom home. The deck is ideal and the yard was helpful for our small dog. The home is less than a mile to the local market and CVS/pharmacy which came in handy for us! Unfortunately there were some hiccups upon arrival. The outdoor patio umbrella was broken, as well as a missing window shade in the downstairs front bedroom overlooking the main road. The front storm door also slammed shut due to loosened mechanical issues. Luckily, maintenance was able to replace the umbrella and shade and fix the door within 48 hours of our week’s stay. We were disappointed there was no outdoor shower since it was listed as an amenity on the listing site. Being a family of 5, the outdoor showers are wonderful after beach days and bike rides. The property management team was very apologetic and refunded $300 for the false advertisement that was overlooked on the website. The inside of the home was a bit rundown for the price we paid (stayed 5 nights). The home has window unit ACs which kept the home relatively cool. At night the units in the downstairs bedrooms were extremely loud. The downstairs bedrooms smelled a bit musty. Crowell Road is definitely busy and the driveway is short. If you rent this property with kids or pets, make sure you keep the front gate shut tight. Good location but won’t be renting the home again.
