Take a step back in time and enjoy a slower pace in a charming 1920's cottage with the beautiful Gulf of Mexico just steps away. Comfortably furnished and stocked with everything you'll need for a relaxing vacation, Sandy Feet Cottage is your antidote to the hustle and bustle of daily life. Located in Galveston's Historic East End, you'll get a feel for life at the turn of the century while having modern conveniences at your fingertips. Located just a block from the Seawall you can see and hear the Gulf from the porch or the roof top deck, just the place for morning coffee or sunset drinks. Bikes are available for rent on the island and many restaurants and attractions are a bike ride or short walk away. There is much to see and do in Galveston so make Sandy Feet Cottage your home base for fun and relaxation.

A Graco bassinet is provided for infant or toddler sleeping. (Please follow directions and make sure set-up is done correctly before placing child in bassinet.)

Sweet little cottage

This little cottage is just a block and a half from the sea wall and an easy 10 minute drive to the downtown area. Very cute beach-y style decor, and well equipped kitchen and bathrooms. The beds are quite comfy too (firm). Great front porch and brick patio with ample seating on the side. Kudos for dog friendliness (property is completely fenced in) and thanks for Tony and Ron who could not have been more gracious and responsive. Highly recommend

Sandy Feet is THE BEST!

Sandy Feet is a wonderful retreat - five minutes from the beach! It is in a quiet neighborhood, and with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, along with kitchen, dining and living areas, it is very accommodating. The owners have outfitted the house with the best in the way of kitchen utensils, laundry facilities, beautiful linens, and whimsical decor. We cannot wait to go back!

Weekend in Galveston

Sandy Feet is very conveniently located to the beach and the boardwalk. Nice restaurants nearby. We recommend Millers. The rental had two wagons to use which was very helpful for small children.

Galveston Getaway

Cottage was wonderful but I would not advertise as pet friendly. Was not pet friendly because Oleander bushes in the yard are toxic to animals. No grass inside fenced area. House open underneath house for wild critters. The cottage itself was great and we would gladly rent again without our two small dogs.

Great Stay In a Charming Home

My family and I stayed here for 3 nights in July. Ron greeted us promptly and had great suggestions for restaurants on the island. The house was quite charming and well stocked with everything we needed. Having the patio with a water hose was great after a trip to the beach. The neighborhood was quiet, and close to the Seawall and attractions. Being very particular when it comes to a clean place to stay, I have to say I was not disappointed. My only suggestion is for new shower curtain liners in both showers. Everything else was in tip top shape. Our friends rented the house across the street from us, and our kids enjoyed going back and forth between houses. We would definitely stay here again when in Galveston!!

Sweet Cottage near the ocean

We booked this home for a spring break trip with our two teens and tween. We have outgrown hotels rooms especially after long road trips like this one was. It was nice to have some space to spread out a bit. The house was decorated so adorably. It was clean and had plenty of towels and basic bathroom and kitchen supplies. Two bathrooms was also a definite plus but the best part of this home was the great value. It is reasonably priced and does not have the several add on fees that the other rental options had. They just ask that you strip your beds and start the laundry when you leave. It is only two blocks from the seawall and you can catch a glimpse of the ocean from the upper deck. We would absolutely recommend this rental to others!

Relaxing vintage charm

I loved my stay in this charming house with its high ceilings and tiny fenced yard. We stayed here with 3 children 9 yrs. old and under, and the large bedroom with 2 queen beds was perfect for them allowing plenty of room for their suitcases with no crowding. The fact that their room was connected to ours by a door was quaint, but also comforting for them, and they loved being able to trot through the house in a circle through all of the rooms because each bedroom had 2 doors. All the beds are extremely comfortable with nice linens and plenty of pillows. Everything was very clean, the manager lives close by and is accessible, and the atmosphere in the home is bright and cheerful. My granddaughter proclaimed our stay here as the best week of her whole summer. The house is a convenient walk to the beach on the seawall, although to cross Seawall Blvd. safely we found it necessary to walk an extra block to the light and then double back on the other side to take the stairs down to the beach. The beach is very tiny in this location, but is adequate to allow children to play in the surf. It was also a short drive to see the Elissa, Galveston Water Adventures Dolphin Tours, Railroad museum, Bolivar ferry, and Offshore Oil Rig museum allowing us to come back to the house for lunches and naps before heading out for more fun on the beach. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the kitchen. We had everything we needed to prepare simple meals. I highly recommend this property.

Familienurlaub

Gemeinsames Frühstück, Zeit am Strand, zusammen kochen. War alles da was Familie mit Kindern (4+7 Jahre) Spaß macht. Es war sehr heiss und leider nicht möglich draußen zu sitzen. Ein Sonnenschutz im ausssenbereich wäre super gewesen. Sonst alles super, würden wieder kommen!!

Wonderful Location

I live in Houston, TX and have been a flight attendant for 32 years. I inherited an interest in real estate from my father and after talking over his business I've been able to expand into Galveston. Since I would like to eventually live in Galveston full time, I enjoy spending my spare time on the island. Waking up to the sounds and smells of the Gulf of Mexico is not a bad place to be!

Since childhood I have had an interest in old houses. I have been known to peer through a crack in a boarded up window a time or two! Bringing an old, tattered house back to life is fun for me and I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty in the process. In Galveston, these homes are the history of the island and it gives me great pleasure to see them come alive again. There are great stories from the past in these beautiful houses; and great stories in the future as well.
