Regarding the sulfur smell, we do want to clarify that Tybee Island naturally has an occasional sulfur or “rotten egg” odor due to the surrounding salt marshes releasing hydrogen sulfide. This is a normal, non-harmful part of the ecosystem. If the smell were coming from the drains, the water itself would have carried the odor when used. We also reviewed our inspection reports, and all bedding—including the sofa bed sheets—was changed prior to your arrival. Additionally, when we checked in with you on the second day of your stay, you had let us know everything was good. Had we been made aware of any cleanliness concerns at that time or received photos, we would have addressed them immediately. The maintenance items you mentioned will be reviewed by our team, and any needed corrections will be made. We truly apologize that your experience fell short and appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention.
