This Rent In Highlands vacation rental home has a strict NO PET policy. Failure to adhere to this policy will result in a $1000.00 fine.
Only adults (25 years old and older) may reserve this property and an adult must occupy the property at all times.
This historic property, featuring a modern home with stunning mountain views, is perfect for creating lifelong memories. Lovingly designed and built for the family who has owned the property since 1928, it offers all the modern amenities while preserving beautiful pine floors and a breathtaking view that invites you to relax on the covered deck. PLEASE NOTE that the adjacent Joe Webb cabin is the owner’s personal cabin and will not be included in the rental or occupied during rental periods.
Main Level:
Two bedrooms on the main level share a Jack & Jill bathroom, one of which features French doors that lead to the deck—you may have to draw straws to decide who gets that special bedroom! The open floor plan allows you to enjoy a fire in the fireplace while cooking, dining, or relaxing on the couch while watching TV.
Lower Level:
The lower level includes a third bedroom, furnished with a king bed and twin bunk beds. This level also has its own adjoining bathroom, as well as access to the lower deck and garage, providing added convenience and privacy.
Outdoor Spaces:
The home sits on a spacious, open yard—an ideal place for kids to run, play, and enjoy the outdoors. Just off the living room, a covered deck offers a sheltered spot to relax in any weather. With comfortable seating, a dining table for al fresco meals, and a gas grill ready for evening cookouts, it’s a space designed for easygoing outdoor living. The primary bedroom also features private access to the deck, creating a quiet escape for peaceful mornings or calm evenings surrounded by nature.
Owners Note: The property has been in my family since 1928, when my grandfather bought the original log cabin. The cabin was built by Joe Webb. He bought it get the family away from the polio outbreak, and to get a break from the south Florida heat of the Summer. My parents treasured this property and decided to add a true second story to the cabin after my grandparents passed in 1976. And then in 1999 they decided to build a more modern home for them to stay in for 6 months a year. We have had wonderful, happy memories for 3 generations. It is my hope to pass along this property to my children, and be the best steward for my grandparents and parents to honor their memory.

Rent In Highlands Vacation Rental Cancellation Policy
Policy (A) for reservations less than 20 days:
A reservation canceled between 0-45 days prior to arrival is not eligible to receive a refund. If more than 45 days notice is given, the renter shall receive a refund of all payments made, less a cancellation fee of 10% of the Total Cost of the Reservation.
Policy (B) for reservations of 20 days or more and reservations made 6 months in advance:
NO refund is given unless the property is re-rented under the same terms (Trip insurance is available and recommended to help protect your trip).
