We were very happy with this rental. Plenty of room for all our family, easy access to the beach and a great pool. Very accurately described in the listing and they even had plenty of games and puzzles for us. Bender Realty were extraordinary to work with and were very accommodating. We would certainly rent with Bender again. 0 problems on this vacation, 100/100 for the experience.Shh, don’t tell anyone, early May is a great time to visit the Gulf!

there was some mold in one bathroom which maintenance came and removed. The unit was very nice and my family enjoyed it. Elevator really helped getting luggage and groceries from parking level... a VERY nice feature. Kitchen was HUGE and second refrigerator was nice to keep lots of cold drinks. Layout was nice to give each family unit some privacy. Pool was also very nice and we enjoyed it a lot. Climb over dune to get to beach was a bit difficult, not sure what can be done as far as a stairway at least up from unit to top of dune.Unit has some age on it and has some deferred maintenance items..........cracked mirror, loose door handle, trash drawer in kitchen out of line etc. Nothing that was a deal breaker just it needs a good going over after the season is over. Overall we would rent this unit again.

YELLOWBIRD TOO

Yellowbird Too was an amazing property. My Dad can not do stairs and the elevator wasa life saver. Every room was very private and everyone had their own space. Loved the stairs and seating in the pool. I would recommend this property.

We regret that you feel this lovely beachfront home needs updating. In looking at our communication during and after your stay, I see that we addressed the WiFi on your arrival; it appears that housekeeping had unplugged it. There were no responses from our message to you, asking if anything needed our attention. We hope to have the opportunity to assist you in planning your next Christmas on the Gulf!

Great house

As described. House was great. Only negatives are pool heater was broken so we couldn’t use the pool, and there should be better instructions on how to use the elevator.

This is a fabulous house with direct Gulf views and plenty of space for the entire family. The pool is not advertised as heated, and if that should change in the future, it will certainly be noted for all guests. Per your comment on the elevator, we have included more specific instructions in the guest information that is emailed prior to arrival, as well as posted in the elevator room. We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay in this amazing property, and we welcome the opportunity to assist you in planning your next Yellowbird getaway!

Relaxing

I loved the house and location! Our only complaint was the hill we had to climb to get to the beach. My parents, who are in the 70’s, struggled to get to the beach. Woukd have been much easier with steps or a pier to lead out to the beach. Other than that, it was a perfect vacation!

The property was wonderful, the space was great. But the people before us left things broken. We felt bad that you guys had no idea things were not working. But you guys fixed everything, and we thank you for that. But the dryer really did not dry well at all.

Summer Vacation Lodging Review

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our experience in Yellowbird Too was simply amazing. We had no issues with the home itself during our stay. The house location is far enough down West Beach that you are away from all of the condos. The only people on the beach were our family and the families from the houses next door. The pool was a pleasant bonus allow our 10 month old granddaughter to have fun without the constant exposure to the sun on the beach. The Bender Realty staff remained in touch during the entire stay. They made sure we could get the house keys after business hours, and they promptly answered the questions that we texted to them. We would definitely rent this house again on any return trips.

5 bedrooms with each room having a private bath made it great for our large family. However, we were disappointed with the view from the main floor porch. You are unable to see the shoreline due to the sand dune blocking your view. (Attached a pic for reference.) The walk up the dune to get to the beach was a bit difficult, especially for my parents and those that were hauling the beach equipment. We don’t recommend staying here if you want to be able to see the shore from the porch. The best view was at the top floor balcony but it wasn’t covered and the sun was brutal up there. Plus, you can only sit a couple of people up there.
View from main floor porch. The walk up the dune is not easy when hauling stuff or for older visitors.

Great Family Vacation Home

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had 10 people and the layout of the home is nice, and having an elevator was great. The pool and covered deck was large. Patio furniture not very comfortable and no chairs for table in the screened in porch. Living room and kitchen furniture are worn, but bedrooms were in better shape. The laundry room is huge, but the dryer is extremely loud. There is only a path to the beach. So walking up the slight hill could be a challenge. We loved having the beach to ourselves. It’s a little out of the way, but we enjoyed the area. We had a couple of issues while we were there, and Bender responded promptly. Our family had a wonderful time in gulf shores. If you’re looking for a new home, I would not recommend. If you’re looking for a lived in home on the beach with a nice pool, this would work.

Yellowbird met our families needs. The pool was a huge hit. The walk to the beach is a little hike but they managed it well. The weather was a hit and miss but we can say we survived Tropical Storm Arthur lolThe elevator is a blessing to have being a beach house there are a lot of stairs. It really made life a lot easier. The conversations I had with Bender were wonderful. They even texted a couple of times to make sure all was in order. The house is very clean and I am picky. I would definitely stay at this property again.
