Tule katsomaan meidÀn nÀkökulmasta! Ole vain kuuden minuutin ajomatkan pÀÀssÀ Great Creek Landing -alijÀrjestelmÀstÀ I-85, ja koet lempeÀt, rinteessÀ olevat mÀet, jotka sopivat tÀydellisesti kÀvelyyn tai pyörÀilyyn ja johtavat kauniiseen jÀrvenrantakotiin, joka on tÀydellinen mihin tahansa pakoon. NÀkökulmamme sijaitsee rauhallisen lahden suulla, josta on upeat nÀkymÀt suuremmalle jÀrvelle.

NÀkökulmamme on viiden makuuhuoneen koti (kolmessa makuuhuoneessa on king-vuoteet, joista on upeat nÀkymÀt jÀrven rannalle!) jossa mahtuu mukavasti 17 vierasta (kaikilla 17 vieraalla on vuoteet). PÀÀtasolla on iso keittiö, jossa on pÀivitetyt laitteet ja ruokailutila, joka sopii erinomaisesti ruoanlaittoon ja viihdyttÀmiseen. Olohuoneessa on 60-tuumainen Àlytelevisio, joten kukaan ei unohda suurta peliÀ, jopa keittiössÀ "työskentelevÀt"! Kaksi makuuhuonetta (kuningas ja kuningatar) sijaitsevat pÀÀtasolla, tÀysi kylpyamme ja pesutupa. Alemman tason, kÀvelykerros, on hiljattain maalattu ja pÀivitetty. Olohuoneessa on poikkipinta-sohva, iso 55 tuuman Àlytelevisio, mukautettu baari, pelejÀ, kirjoja kaiken ikÀisille ja foosball-pöytÀ. TÀmÀ alempi taso sisÀltÀÀ myös tÀydellisen keittiön, jossa pesukone ja kuivausrumpu, joten kotimme on tÀydellinen useille perheille pÀÀstÀ eroon kaikesta yhdessÀ, mutta silti omalla tilalla! Alemmalla tasolla on myös kaksi makuuhuonetta (king- ja kerrossÀnky) ja tÀysi kylpyamme. Kolmannessa kerroksessa on pÀÀsviitti, mukaan lukien poreallas, josta on henkeÀsalpaavat nÀkymÀt jÀrvelle.

Vaikka sisĂ€puolella on kaikki kodin mukavuudet, siitĂ€ on jĂ€rvinĂ€köala, josta vieraamme nauttivat. This was the perfect home away from home for our 3 families to celebrate Thanksgiving! The 2 full kitchens made it possible for all the Cooks to have ample space. The Host even provided an extra folding table and chairs so we could all eat together. What a blessing! We enjoyed the comfortable outdoor spaces, including the dock table, fire pit and porches with stunning views. Our families are all ready to go back to this property!

We had a fabulous family reunion vacation at Our Point of View! Having 2 kitchens was a great benefit. We had the parents with toddlers on the lower level and us mature folks on the main level so we were able to sleep a little later. We loved the close access to the dock/lake and all the paddling options. Enjoyed the fire pit and walks around the neighborhood. Did some side trips to breweries, mini golf, winery, dinner, & ice cream. We loved everything about the house and location. Would definitely book again.

The host was great to work with and prompt in communicating and answering any questions during our stay. The house was well stocked and clean. Easily accommodated our family of 14. The fire pit and boat dock/house with the kayaks and paddle boards were a hit with the kids.

We have stayed at this property for many years and love the house, very comfortable and clean. It’s many bedrooms have comfortable beds and allow for privacy when needed. The dock and lake location are perfect. This section of the lake is not very crowded with boat traffic so it’s wonderful for tubing, wake surfing, etc. We bring our boat and it docks easily there. They have lots of great paddle boards and kayaks we also use. The dock remains in the sun for the day which is perfect for those who love the sun, but also has shaded areas with fans and comfortable furniture for those who want shade. The screened in back porch is also wonderful! Morning coffee is the best there! We continue to love it and return year after year. The hosts are the BEST! Great communication and always very helpful!

Perfect Stay

We couldn’t have asked for a better house at Lake Gaston. For us, the boat house is the most important thing since that is where we spend the most time. This boat house was perfect. Comfortable furniture, great kayaks and paddle boards, shade, and a great swimming area.The house itself was very well-equipped and the beds were super comfortable. Jodie was very responsive and answered any and all questions. Don’t hesitate booking this property.

Thanksgiving Family Trip

Our family had a wonderful time. We loved the two sitting areas. This home had everything we needed. Very well stocked kitchen. The beds were all so comfy. We loved the fire pit too. Our grandson caught large catfish and it made his day. The older kids jumped in the lake. (per our yearly tradition). Quite chilly!!! We will be back. Our hostess was terrific. Thank you!!

Beautiful Home

My family of 14 had a wonderful stay at My Point of View. The house was beautiful, clean, comfortable, and stocked with everything we needed. The beds were extremely comfortable!! Outside there was a beautiful new fire pit and an easy walkway down to the dock. The dock was in a quiet cove and everyone enjoyed fishing off the dock. Having use of the kayaks and paddle boards was so much fun. We rented a pontoon and had a couple jet skis to enjoy on the lake. Jodie, thanks for being an amazing host and quick to respond to our questions and needs. We highly recommend this vacation home.

Fun week at Lake Gaston

Our family had a great week at Our Point of View. Jodie was a great host. She was very responsive to any questions we had. We loved the boat dock and spent many hours floating and swimming in Lake Gaston. Since there was a tropical storm in the forecast for later in the week, we decided to take advantage of every good day. It turns out there was only one rainy day which we spent indoors playing game as a family. Our granddaughters loved the bunk room and jumping off the dock. We rented a boat and jet ski to take full advantage of the lake. Highly recommend 313 Franklin Kitchen in South Hill. A great experience and really good food. We also enjoyed lunch at the Shady Shack and a visit to Rosemont Winery. A great time was had by all!

Glorious Week at Lake Gaston

Our family, eight people in three generations loved our time at Point of View Lake House. The house was great, with bedrooms and bathrooms on three levels, the best stocked kitchen we’ve experienced with a VRBO rental, and is situated only a few steps from the lake. The dock was a highlight for our grandchildren, who loved swimming near the dock in the safety of our cove. The pictures of the home are very accurate. Everyone in our family recommends Point of View.

Great family home!

We stayed with extended family including children aged 6 months to 13. The property was great with many kid-friendly amenities. Aside from swimming, kayaking, and paddle boarding in the lake, we also especially enjoyed the fire pit and hanging out on the screened-in porch. The home had the most well-stocked kitchen of any VRBO we’ve ever rented which made cooking for the family easy. Looking forward to coming again!

Sweet Spot for Family Togetherness

Family time well spent in this beautiful vacation home. The location on the lake was perfect for swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, and floating. While fish were sparse (most likely due to the beaver’s daily swim through), we loved the ability to fish with the property fishing license. The outdoor fire pit area was a beautiful spot to gather at day’s end. The screened in porch was perfect for book lounging. The home was clean and spacious for 16 people. The outdoor shower a lifesaver for our large group. Jodie was quick to respond when needed and always very polite. Highly recommend this rental not just for the property, but also because of the owners. We’ve stayed in many rentals for vacation, but Jodie was by far one of the best.

Quiet Cove

Our annual family vacation was wonderful! This house is very well stocked; games, books, closets with blankets and fans, kitchen with everything you need, outdoors with kayaks and SUPs. The owners are fantastic and so easy to communicate with. The cove is peaceful and opens up to the side of the lake the perfect size for boating and tubing!

Martin and I have been married since 1999 and I can honestly say we have had some kind of project going since day one! In addition to raising two teenage daughters, working as a second grade teacher, and Martin a mechanical engineer, our life has been full of remodeling, creating and construction of some type! When we bought Our Point of View in September of 2016 we agreed we would only do a few simple improvements the first year. Wrong! Before we knew it we decided to repaint and update almost the entire lower level! We just want our guests to feel comfortable and enjoy their surroundings while visiting. Martin grew up on a Caribbean island so he loves water and boating. We both knew we wanted a place that was easy to get to in a short amount of time. Lake Gaston was the perfect spot! We love it and hope you will too!

We knew Our Point of View was the right house for us the moment our realtor drove us down the driveway! Martin and I both fell in love with the lake view! We loved the gentle slope of the yard, the large dock and the location. We get the benefits of seeing the greater lake combined with the coziness of being in a cove. In addition, we also love the location. It is easily accessible from I-85 and only takes about an hour for us to get here from our home. It is so nice to go from a hectic, crazy schedule to total tranquility in such a short amount of time!

Immediately, we saw the benefits of this home. For starters, it has two full kitchens! Not many lake rentals have this. Personally, I am not a fan of cooking but some renters love it. But more importantly, I envisioned family and friends getting together not only during the summer but for holidays! Two ovens and two refrigerators definitely come in handy. Plus having a complete lower level gives multiple families more space. Another benefit of this home is the master bedroom and bathroom having its own level. In addition, the views are amazing from the third level! The first thing we did when we bought the home was position the bed to look out at the lake. It's a great view to enjoy first thing in the morning after you wake up! There are many benefits about this home but another one that stands out is the yard. We have a large front yard, great for volleyball or kickball, and an awesome lakeside yard. I told Martin when we saw the house that the house screamed for some attention in the back even though the view was amazing. It needed to be brought to life! This is where the beginning of Martin's design of the fire pit and walkways started! I look forward to listening to old stories and creating new ones by this fire pit. I hope you and your friends and family will too!
