Escape to our stunning lakefront retreat, the perfect getaway for families or groups seeking relaxation and fun. Our spacious three-level house boasts breathtaking open-lake views from all levels, including balconies on the first and second floors, each with two swings to enjoy the view in comfort.

Inside, you'll find an incredible game room; outside, we have plenty of water toys for all ages. With three living areas, four bedrooms, and one flexible bunk space, there's room for everyone to spread out and enjoy the lake life. Guests with boats can take advantage of the dedicated boat slip just for you. Enjoy the sunrise and sunset each day from our two-story decks or lakefront dock.

We provide plenty of amenities to ensure an unforgettable stay, including 1 tandem kayak, 4 adult kayaks, 1 kid kayak, a water mat, SUP (paddleboard), paddleboat, cornhole, hammocks and life jackets for all sizes, all available right by the water for your convenience. High-speed Wi-Fi and HDTVs in the living areas and bedrooms, along with an xbox, board games, three arcade games with over 30 titles, a convertible pool and air hockey table, ping pong table topper, all in the basement provide endless entertainment options. In the evening, enjoy a drink by the propane fire pit on the top deck of the boathouse or smores by the wood burning fire pit.

We've taken care of all the details, so you can pack light and enjoy your stay worry-free. Linens and towels (bath and beach) are provided, and all rooms have ceiling fans and sound machines for your comfort. There is a pack-n-play, high chair, v-tech baby monitor, baby tub available for those with little ones. There is an extra fridge in the basement, washer and dryer, and propane Weber grill for your use.

If you need to stock up on groceries or other essentials, a Dollar General is conveniently located just five minutes away, and Food Lion is only 15 minutes away. The marina is right around the corner for boat rentals and public access a few miles away if you'd like to bring your own boat.

Our home is located in a quiet residential neighborhood in one of the most beautiful creeks of Lake Gaston (Pea Hill Creek), and we ask that all guests be respectful of our friendly neighbors. We want everyone to have a wonderful, memorable time and create lasting memories in this special place. Thank you for choosing our lakefront retreat as your next vacation destination.

**Please note that this is a family friendly home, in a quiet neighborhood. We can not support house parties or events.

If you are planning to bring your own boat the bridges in Lake Gaston tend to have a low clearance and the bridge from the main lake to Pea Hill Creek, where our home is located is 8'7". Boating and fishing licensing and regulation information is available on the NC Wildlife website.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Lucky Dock! The boat dock was amazing – super nice and perfect for hanging out by the water or heading out on the lake. The game room kept everyone entertained, and the living area was cozy and great for relaxing together after a fun day.The whole place felt welcoming and really well taken care of. It was the perfect mix of fun and relaxation, and we honestly didn’t want to leave. We’ll definitely be coming back to The Lucky Dock!

The Lucky Dock was everything our family needed and more. In addition to the obvious amenities that go along with a house on the lake we were impressed with the amount of space we all had. The game room was an unexpected hit for the younger members of our family. Additional pros was the proximity to the local grocery store, restaurants, and the marina where we were able to rent a boat for the day. The dock made for easy loading and unloading of the boat. We will definitely consider staying here again.

Making memories

This was our first time renting a house. This property was phenomenal! It was clean, spacious, and had everyone's needs covered. There was plenty to do for all ages from the water to the game room. We had an absolute blast! Mercedes is wonderful! She reached out to make sure everything was good to go. She also made herself available for any crazy or random questions I had. So many memories were made this weekend, looking forward to coming back!

We booked this property for our annual family vacation which was for 2 families and Grammy. Our host, Mercedes, was a delight, very responsive, and accommodating. The house was very clean, has 3 levels and 3 separate living areas which affords families a break from each other, if needed. There is also a bunk room on each of the upper levels that can accommodate large families. The location couldn't have been any better. It's an easy drive to reach the house, in an established neighborhood, and a PERFECT location on the lake. A short walk with a gentle decline to the dock, no steps. The spacious dock is in a large but quiet deep water cove a short distance off the main lake. Plenty of room for tubing right off the dock. There were kayaks, a water pad, pedal boat, floats, life jackets, etc. more than enough toys to have a great time. When not boating we spent all of our time on the dock, swimming, sun bathing or just jumping in. Everyone had wonderful time. There were also video games, ping pong, pool table and more but we spent so much time outside we didn't really use them or the fire pit that was available. Everything is here to make great memories! Thank you Mercedes and Mike for sharing your home with our family!

2025 July 4th weekend

Mercedes was a wonderful host! If we had any problems at all, she went above and beyond to make it right! The pictures online are accurate and the home had everything you would need for a fabulous vacation!! You won’t regret a getaway here!!

You can’t beat the view. The bedrooms were as described and comfortable. The kitchen was smaller than it looks in pictures. With 8 people it was crowded. Limited to 2 people at a time in the kitchen. The outdoor seating on the decks were not comfortable. The dock and fire pit seating was more comfortable. Enjoyed using the kayaks and lily pad. No SUP was available. Disappointed the Pac Man game and air hockey were not available as stated. Kitchen was well stocked. Plenty of parking. Grill was in good shape and works well. Propane fire pit at the dock would not light. Loved having the dock for the boat we rented.

Perfect family weekend

We really lucked out with this property and the weather over a long Easter weekend. There was ample space for us, access to water toys, and friendly surroundings that made for a perfect weekend for everyone.

Awesome lakeside property

Spacious, clean, well-stocked waterfront home… we enjoyed the variety of amenities, including the paddle boat, kayaks, video game room, grill, decks, porch swings, TVs, hammocks and fire pit. We really didn’t leave the house for 4 days, except for a few quick trips to the grocery store and pizza place. There is just so much to do at the house/ on the dock that you don’t really need any other plans. The bds were very comfortable and the house includes things that make it feel homey… like room darkening shades and noise machines. We used the portable crib for our 1 year old, which was helpful. The kitchen area was very well stocked. The Xbox, pool table, and smart TVs came in handy one windy afternoon. Highly recommend watching the sunsets from the 2nd story dock.. the sky and lake are just gorgeous as dusk. We enjoyed our relaxing vacation and hope to come back again!

Wonderful Gall Lake Stay

Everything was great. Kitchen is small so bbq but tbe house was perfect for 6+ adults. So quiet and peaceful. Lake was so wonderful to be on with all the toys. Need a few more adult life preservers Definitely coming back in spring

Perfect lake house!

The house had everything you could want in a lake house. Most amazing views, plenty of water activities! When some rain kept us indoors, we were entertained with board games, the arcade, and movies! Perfect house for a couple families to enjoy Lake Gaston!

Fabulous week

Our 3rd year at Gaston and couldnt be happier with our stay at Group Therapy. With 6 adults and 5 kids, there was more than enough space for everyone. The house was very clean and the location was perfect with an amazing dock for us to slip our boat for the week. With almost all the necessities provided, You really needed nothing but a quick trip to the Food Lion, and youre set for your stay. We will likely be returning next year.

Fun & relaxing getaway

This was our first VRBO experience and we picked the perfect property. The house and property were amazing-just as pictured in the listing. So many fun things to do and the neighborhood was very peaceful. We rented a pontoon boat for a day and the boat dock was super easy to access. The water toys provided with the property were so much fun and the firepits were great in the evenings. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

Our property is in what most would say is the best creek of Lake Gaston - Pea Hill Creek. We have an extra boat slip to bring your boat and public access to the lake is just a few miles away.

It is family friendly, a flat lot and a short walk from the house to the lake. The house comes fully equipped with water activities for the family such as a water mat, kayaks, paddle boat, life vests, floats, etc.
