Well stocked home, comfortable furniture with plenty of room for my husband & I & two of our cousins. Large outside deck with dining table & separate sitting area facing the bay. 6/21 thru 7/5 2025 Coral Bay visit

Everything was great for Maria and I. My only concern is the water pressure upstairs and then of course, just getting a new grill. I was able to relax and unwind for two weeks. I love not having air conditioning and the trade winds blowing thru out the entire house, cooling it down. We love the view from the porch, we love the full sized kitchen and all the other ancillary things provided, i.e, cooler, floaties, snorkeling gear, that we didnt have to purchase. I slept every night like I was dead. It was very peaceful and we would definitely come back.Again, my only recommendation is getting a pressure pump to facilitate getting enough water pressure to upstairs and a new grill. These are very easy fixes. I realize that others will probably complain about the road to the house, but in my opinion, it was no big deal and thats why you rent a Jeep.All in all we enjoyed our stay and we love St John.

Beautiful View and Ecolodge Experience

This was our first stay at this property. Alisha was fantastic and had great communication with us. Her local advice helped us find multiple new spots to explore where we saw all kinds of wildlife and creatures. This rental does require a 4WD. My son loved the pool and the family games. The mountain was quiet and peaceful, and a wonderful escape. There is an organic farm at the bottom. We had the best salads! Great proximity to beaches for snorkeling on the north, east and south and to our favorite Reef Bay Trail.

Great time

Our first time in St John and it was a lovely stay @ Coral Haven. Beautiful layout, pics all were truth in advertising. The pool was a nice plus. Alisha was great, so responsive and very informative with our in person check in. The roads are alot, even with full disclosures of jeeps and 4WD a must. The 2studio apts on sight were not an issue at all.We had a great time and very much enjoyed our stay!

What a great spot! The house was super clean, had everything we needed for the beach and communication was fantastic. The market nearby was great for snacks! We cooked or prepped all our meals and had everything we needed.

Nice place but 4WD is recommended

The house was roomy with beautiful views of Coral Bay. Lots of outdoor living space with furniture to take advantage of that space. We did not use the pool this time but it is a great feature. I would highly recommend a 4wheel drive vehicle as the roads leading to the house are challenging for the smaller SUV we rented.Alisha was great to deal with - great host WWould recommend with the caveat about an appropriate vehicle.

Great location, Terrific Property, Excellent Management

Just finished our second stay at this house. First stay was great. House improved this year. Great location 15 min from our favorite beaches (Francis and Salt Pond). Close to 5 restaurants and two groceries. Perfect for 1-2 couples. Alisha does a great job with questions about the house or anything else. Yes, the road is a challenge. Get yourself a jeep and bump up and down it like everyone else. After 2-3 days you barely notice. Consider part of the authentic STJ experience.

Christmas in St John

Christmas and my 50th in St John with my husband. Just so happened that the venue directly above one of my best friends since 1988 was available! :)Additional Bonus-plunge pool! Which we took advantage of anytime we were not out and about. Although it was only the two of us, this location is well suited for more than two people. Welcoming, private entrance and fully stocked kitchen. Excellent location near several bays/beaches, shopping and restaurants. Location is prime for families or couples. Enjoyed waking up in the morning to amazing views with a cup of coffee, roosters crowing, and a book out by the pool. Highly recommend!

Overall the property was great. Our only negative was that the road needs improvement. Without a Jeep access would be a challenge. The property manager was great and we had a great time.

Nothing beats Coral Bay!

As our 6th return to Coral Bay, we invited long time friends since college. Coral Haven is a perfect spot for two couples, with a great view of the bay, a salt water pool, and every accommodation that you could possibly need. The host was very responsive when needed, and was close by. We recommend Coral Haven for your next Caribbean vacation spot. Thanks Alisha!

Coral Bays the best

This property is very typical of Coral Bay. The road up is tough but they all are! And if you want to be up high to enjoy the breezes you have to be ready for it. The house was nicely laid out with every gadget you could need. Close to market and all the things. Miss it already.

Overall our experience was good. There was a few hic-ups though. The pool was only about 3/4 full and not very clean (was cleaned while we were doing our walk through). Also had a rough time with the washer.The lady down stairs had to help us.

Just about perfect

Listing is accurate. House is well equipped. Property manager (Alisha) very terrific/responsive. We too had some noise from banging storm shutters in the wind, but Alisha addressed that quickly. Location is great — close to the stores/restaurants in Coral Bay and the North Shore beaches. The road up the hill is rough in spots, but you’ll get used to it. Parking is pretty easy. We preferred to pull in from the uphill entry and depart from the downhill side. Note that this house has everything except AC. We were surprised by that when we arrived (reading is fundamental) but never came close to needing it. Great breezes. Kitchen is very well equipped. Includes an Instapot! We hope to return.

Winter Break

Located in tranquil Coral Bay. Beautiful view from the verandah. The pool was cold (not heated), I wish I would have asked prior to booking. We had planned to swim in the evening.You can use the washer/ dryer but they are restricted hours from 10-2 which is right in the middle of the day when you off exploring the island. We were depending on using them because we did not bring many clothes but we made due. We were only there for 6 nights so time was fleeting. We did book for a 7 night but we had a funeral that we had to go to. I asked if we could get reimbursed for the one night but the owner said no. We were a little disappointed over that, but hey we were in St. John loving our first visit on this beautiful island with amazing beaches.

Very nice house!

Really liked the house - I think nicer than photos! Staying on Coral Bay side of island is so nice. You are nice and close to Salt Pond Bay with great snorkeling and not at ALL crowded! 3 of us there and we all loved it. My tips: Don't use Apple Maps when linking to VRBO location. Use Google maps or get advice from manager. I messed this up and took a nutty route to the house. My mistake, not theirs. The road up is still pretty rough in parts, but if you are used to jeeping on St. John it is no big deal. Only downsides: A) we were there in windy season and the first three nights something loose on the windows banged all night. Think: screen door slamming all night long. It drove us pretty insane until the wind died down. My guess is they will repair/tighten that up (place is in great condition), but it made for very bad sleep on those windy days - and a rough start. B) Also, downstairs bathroom shower had no hot water. Take your showers upstairs. Other than that - Just plain fantastic. I like to give honest reviews so people really know what to expect. This place was great and we really liked it. There is another person in downstairs unit. She was lovely and I would have no concerns about her at all. I would 100% stay here again, if they fastened the window dressings. The resident manager was very helpful in every way.

I had the most wonderful visit. I did wish I had AC but the Christmas winds kept it comfortable. I never used the pool but stayed very busy, so didn't need it. I had everything I needed and loved the view of Coral bay and Hurricane Hole.

Paradise Getaway

The house was the perfect place to really feel you're on vacation in paradise. From the mountain-side location, to the decor, to the amazing views and outdoor spaces, this place was everything we could have asked for. It was full of added value with extra beach towels and all the gear you could want to take with you, even sunscreen and bug spray. They have thought about it all, and if they didn't have it, Alisha made us feel comfortable to ask. Even though there was nothing we found we needed and didn't have. We also found the private pool to more useful than we first thought. It was so nice to have right outside the patio doors. My favorites were early morning wake up and late night cool off dips. And the outdoor shower was awesome to get all the sand off after beach time.

This is a lovely property with a beautiful view of Coral Bay. Parts of the road leading there require 4WD and a skill with ruts, but this is true for many of the island's properties. The kitchen is fully stocked with all cooking implements and many spices. The space is bigger than it appears in pictures -- the bedrooms/baths are SUPER spacious, and the double-height ceiling of the dining/living/kitchen area lends a breezy, open feeling. Alisha is easy to reach and very helpful but also allows for guests' privacy -- a hard balance to strike, and she struck it beautifully. The kids loved the pool, which is big enough for handstand contests and half-naps on floaties -- a nice break from the beaches' sun, since the nearby chaises are under an awning. We found the combo of the beach morning and pool afternoon to be just perfect. Would come back anytime. Thanks!
