Wonderful trip

My wife and I recently stayed 1 week to celebrate our 4th anniversary. All communication with Lois prior was fantastic and the same was true with David on island. The property is as described and is truly wonderful. The pictures do not do it justice.

Property what absolutely gorgeous. It was exactly as portrayed. David the host was exceptional. Ted and Lois, the owners, were on site and all 3 couldn't have been more helpful and courteous. If we go back to St Johns, we would definitely rent this house again. Wonderful views, perfect location!!

This property was amazing! Our property manager was terrific and check in was super easy. The view from the patio is absolutely beautiful. The home was clean, comfortable and in a great convenient location. The worst part of this trip was that we didn’t stay here longer. Can’t wait to go back!

Absolutely gorgeous views!!!!

We had an amazing stay at Villa Celeste! The views are absolutely amazing! The size was perfect for the two of us for our honeymoon. Joy was so responsive and incredible! Coral bay is a nice peaceful retreat away from the noise of Cruz Bay! Don’t forget your jeep rental. It was a honeymoon we won’t ever forget!

Wonderful cottage, everything as pictured and advertised. Met all expectations. A bit difficult to locate, but area was perfect for quiet get away, with gorgeous view and all amenities. Adequate shopping nearby. Best spot on the island.

The view is EXACTLY as advertised and the photos of the property are current as well. What a wonderful place to relax and unwind, couldn't be happier with the experience. Renting a Jeep is a requirement, not and option, to get to the villa, the beaches and the restaurants. The grocery in Cruz Bay has everything you'd need and there are two just down the hill in Coral Bay that have most things as well. The beaches are amazing! Maho, Truck, and Cinnamon are all in the National Forest area and only 15 minutes or so from the villa. All the beaches on the North Shore road are wonderful, but those are our 3 favorites. Chilling in the private pool was fantastic and we were in it every day (salt system, so very clean and no chemicals). Spent one whole day just enjoying the villa and pool. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was huge and inviting. The kitchenette had everything you'd need and was more than adequate, as long as you don't need to cook a huge gourmet meal (no full size oven, but who cares). Plenty of beach stuff to use, and beach access at the 3 faves was super close to parking, so no shlepping issues. We enjoyed every minute and would rent this property again for sure. No need to add a photo since it looks exactly like the photos in the listing. Enjoy!

The hosts went above and beyond to make my stay very special. Got all the tips on the local hot spots. Million dollar views. Very nice and clean villa with a pool. View from the deck that you don’t want to leave. Will be back for sure.

A Lovely One Bedroom

This villa is perfect if you're looking for a quiet getaway. The owner has many ammenities onsite (like coolers, hats, sunblock, beach towels, etc.) that help you to save money and are very convenient! Every morning you wake up to bird song and gorgeous views of the bay below and the outdoor shower is perfect for a post hike/beach refresh. Joy is truly great if you have any hiccups in your stay and is very responsive. I can't recommend this villa enough!

Spectacular View!

This property was just as described, with stunningly beautiful views and a great deal of quiet and privacy. It was well-equipped and provided a spacious bathroom. My only suggestion would be another light source in the main room as it was a little dim at night for our older eyes. That being said, it was so peaceful and relaxing that we had to make ourselves leave each day for the various beaches!

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Villa Celeste last week. This is the perfect property for couples looking to stay in the Coral Bay area. It had everything we needed to enjoy our stay on St. John. One of the best perks of staying here is the property manager Joy. Joy was a tremendous resource with dining, nightlife, and snorkeling recommendations. She even sourced some local lobster that we grilled at the villa. It was fantastic. Thanks Joy! This is an outstanding property owned/managed by people who want you to have the best experience while you're there.

AMAZING VIEWS FROM VILLA CELESTE

As the title suggests the view from the Villa is stunning. The property itself is very well appointed - the bedroom/living area is pleasant and airy, there is an excellent bathroom with large walk in shower and separate large laundry/storage area. The cosy kitchen is very well equipped and accommodated our dining in when it was too windy to sit out. The vast patio area has an excellent and well maintained bbq and plenty of quality furniture. Access to the Villa with its fabulous position requires a jeep or similar (Lois made this clear to us) as the approach road is very steep. Walking to and from Coral Bay is not an option. As keen walkers, the remoteness did not suit us as much as it will undoubtedly suit others. Having said that, we’re pleased we rented Villa Celeste, had a wonderful time and shall return to St John.

Paradise!

This villa was fantastic. Arguably the best views on the entire island! Short drive to Maho beach (sea turtles), Cinnamon Bay and Trunk Bay. All of the beaches were stunning and not crowded! Convenient grocery store at the bottom of the hill with live music at most of the restaurants down in Coral Bay. We used Joy as our island concierge and she was knowledgeable and kind! Her personal touches to the property were so thoughtful. She guided us on where to eat, and what to see and do. She was also a great help navigating the steep driveway to the villa our first night too! We went out on their Sailboat, Harmony, and relaxed, snorkeled Salt Pond Beach and Hurricane Hole. Such a wonderful stay. Couldn’t have asked for more! Thanks for sharing your slice of paradise with us!

Anniversary Trip

This property is gorgeous! The views are even better in person than in the pictures. The pool and outdoor shower are the perfect touch for a tropical getaway. We traveled to the island a few days after it opened from being locked down for COVID, and Lois was so great to communicate with me all of the extra details that needed to be considered when traveling during a pandemic. While on the island Joy was so helpful. We did not have her meet us when we arrived, but I am sure it would have made the initial drive to the cottage much less stressful...the roads are narrow, windy, and steep AND you drive on the left side with a left sided drivers seat...but once you make the first trip to the cottage it isn’t nearly as intimidating for subsequent trips. I highly recommend staying at the cottage. It’s beautiful, secluded, clean, comfortable, with top of the line hosts. Thank you for a very wonderful anniversary trip!

Incredible!

My husband and I came to Villa Celeste for our Honeymoon and it truly was the most amazing vacation we could of ever imagined. From waking up every morning and seeing the sunrise from bed to sitting in the chaise lounges on the patio every second was nothing short of amazing. The villa is the perfect distance to the town of Coral Bay (which we are SO glad we chose to stay in Coral Bay!). We had so much fun going to Johnny Lime and playing Bingo, taking the shuttle boat to Lime Out, music at the Salty Mongoose and more! Joy (house manager) and Lois (owner) are unbelievably wonderful! The driveway is steep so Joy met us for the Meet and Greet service which we highly recommend. She went through everything going on downtown for the week and really helped us navigate our first trip up to the villa. Lois and her husband were two of the sweetest people and we love that we got the chance to meet and chat with them! If you are thinking about booking Villa Celeste just do it!! It truly is a little slice of heaven! We will surely be back!

Amazing views on the other side of the island

This was our first time staying in the Coral Bay area. The unit was comfortable and just as described, with everything you need for an enjoyable time in paradise. But it is the view that makes this villa so special. Each day begins with a beautiful sunrise over multiple bays, and we were fortunate to have a few evenings to watch the just as remarkable rise of a full moon. The outdoor space was arranged to take full benefit of the view, whether sitting in the lounge chairs, eating in the deck or rocking in the covered porch. In March, we found the pool a little to cool for our enjoyment, but is probably just right in the summer months. Coral Bay offers a very different experience of St. John. It’s much less busy that Cruz Bay and feels like a quaint seaside village. Of course that also means that shopping and eating options are limited — and their hours are sporadic. The location offers an invitation to enjoy the East End of the island — like the tranquil Hansen Bay beach — while still providing good access to the North Shore beaches.

First of all a special Thank You to Joy! She helped with any questions and was usually ahead of us with information. Response time was immediate. The home was better than the pics. It was clean, the pool was perfect, you were provided all that you need but the food, and the view was something you will never forget! As for St John, you will not want to leave. We have made the trip the last few years and this was the best yet. We have tried all of the beaches, but for us we stuck to Salt Pond, Francis, Oppenheimer, and Cinnamon. The best snorkeling on these beaches are at the rocks on the ends. Some of the beaches you can spot turtles in the middle grassy areas. Coral Bay has several restaurant selections, but our favorites are Surf Cantina and Salty Mongoose. Both are directly below the home on the beach. If you make it in to Cruz Bay for breakfast, Cruz Bay Landing has the best skillets. Greengos is great for lunch or dinner, and St John Scoops has the best ice cream. Between Coral and Cruz we found Windmill Bar on top of the mountain looking down on Cuz and across to St Thomas. Amazing food and fun and a great view of the sunset. If you want a seat on the live cam you have to get there around 4 to 4:30. Sunset is around 7, but we has a lot of fun notifying family members and friends that we were on the cam and could interact with them. St. John is the most beautiful place and this home was the best base to enjoy it all from. Thank you Lois and Joy!

Perfect Getaway!! Even better than expected. The property was spotless and exactly as described in the listing. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed and the bedding was very comfortable. The location was ideal. Close enough to all attractions, but definitely a qiet and relaxing area. We especially liked the outdoor space and enjoyed all of our meals on the patio overlooking Coral Bay.The host, Lois, was friendly, responsive, and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay, even providing local recommendations that turned out to be amazing. Her attention to detail was honestly amazing!!!! It was those little things, like a pen and notepad at the bedside; a small flashlight at bedside. These little items make a big difference!!!!! This was the perfect spot to celebrate our 30th anniversary. The villa had everything we needed. The views from here are amazing. A great way to kick back & relax after being out hiking or enjoying one of nearby beaches.

My husband and I have been visiting St John since 1992. We fell in love with this beautiful island and couldn't wait to build a property. We've traveled the world but St John keeps calling us back. We currently live in Missouri and make it to our property about 3 months a year.
We love sharing our villa and do our best to accommodate every need. Having visited over 100 short-term villas, we take note and are constantly trying to improve our own villa.

We love the Coral Bay community. The views from our property are breath-taking. We love being on the quiet side of the island, where you are closest to all the best beaches. Trivia night (Johnnie Lime) and open mic night (Miss Lucy's) are a few of our favorite things to do. We get to mix with locals and tourists alike.
