Kendall Retreat sijaitsee Youghioghenen luonnonkauniiden ja villien jokien kÀytÀvÀn huipulla, josta on upeat nÀkymÀt joen laaksoon ja ympÀröivÀÀn Allegheny-vuoristoon LÀnsi-Marylandissa. Kendall Retreat tarjoaa tÀydellisen erÀmaassa paeta, samalla kun se sijaitsee vain lyhyen ajomatkan pÀÀssÀ monista lomasta, jÀnnittÀvistÀ nÀhtÀvyyksistÀ ja hienoista ravintoloista. . Kolmen makuuhuoneen loma-asunnot mökki on rakennettu Friendsterin etelÀpuolella sijaitsevan Elder Hill Mountainin kylkeen korkeudessa 1960 metriÀ. YmpÀröimÀ 12 metsÀhehtaaria ja vierekkÀin villin joen kÀytÀvÀn kanssa, mökki tarjoaa yksityiset puitteet ja ihanteellisen sijainnin rentouttavalle, mutta silti vauhdikkaalle lomalle perheen tai ystÀvien kanssa.

Good

upon arrival the door code was not given as part of the email so i had to call and luckily i was able to contact someone. At first entry the place smelled like cigar smoke and later confirmed it must be the fireplace. it was fine after we opened the windows for a few hours. all and all the cabin was nice and well stocked. other than the dishwasher not working we were very happy and enjoyed the stay. the property group was responsive.

Wonderful getaway

We spent a wonderful long weekend at Kendall Retreat. The property was private and the cabin was a wonderful size for our family of 5. Definitely need 4 wheel drive if visiting in the winter, the driveway was a bit rough and we got about 6 inches of snow making it even more important to have 4 wheel drive. The property managers had the driveway plowed same day which was amazing! There was no ping pong table as advertised, which was probably the biggest bummer, the kids were looking forward to late night ping pong battles. All in all it was a beautiful Property and will definitely consider staying again when we are in the area.

Great get away

A friend and I with out two dogs met at Kendall Retreat for a short week stay -- it was great for all of us. Peaceful, wonderful area for the dogs and all the games you can imagine -- unbelievably we didn't play a single one rather just enjoyed our time catching up and wandering around. Any "disappointment" was a result of my not reading the listing more carefully -- I assumed the twelve acres surrounding the property were going to provide a number of hiking opportunities right outside the door -- perhaps much younger folks could do that with ease but we learned quickly that hikes for people in our age group (60+) in average shape required a short drive to a decent trail. Other than that everything was spot on -- despite the cold and very rainy weather we enjoyed ourselves very much and certainly would consider meeting there again should the opportunity present itself. Very happy with the overall experience!

Quick getaway

Loved the outdoor space as well as the open floor plan. It was a bit cold while there so we didn't get out and walk the trails but the surrounding grounds looked beautiful from the large deck and windows.

Great cabin

We enjoyed the scenic views from the deck, and evening light, the outdoor fire pit, and the indoor fireplace. Beds were comfy and it’s a short distance to Wisp. The kitchen faucet should be looked at, as it lacked pressure. We really enjoyed the cabin overall and would happily stay again.

Overall this was a very nice place. Something wasn't working well with the water system as it was very salty. Be on the look out for snakes since we saw a den of them in the rocks near the lower deck.

Great place. Near everything yet quiet and away

The cabin is spacious and functional. The deck overlooks beautiful landscape. It is below a major road so there is some road noise but not bad. It is well maintained. We were all. able to relax. Our dogs were able to run free in the field. We would go again. Thank you.

Great stay!

We loved this place. The light and views were amazing. The space was as described and everyone fit perfectly. The only thing was if you’re going to do a lot of cooking, make sure to bring some extra dishwasher pods and garbage bags. We would all definitely come back!

Outstanding Spring-Break getaway with the family.

This property was everything we needed for two families. We maximized every room to include the backyard trails, backyard for the dogs and most importantly the outdoor campfire. We were minutes from several state parks for hiking. Deep Creek Lake was also very close along with Walmart and restaurants. We couldn’t ask for anything else. Plenty of space, kitchen area was superb and the overall home was beautiful! Highly recommended!!!!

My wife, friends, and I go once a year to Deep Creek and this was our best stay so far! The house was in a great location, the view was beautiful, and it had everything you need. We definitely will be staying here again!

Just what my family needed

The cabin is absolutely beautiful and the wrap around deck is a huge plus. The property is huge and accomodated my Mom and Sister's winter walks nicely. The fridge is an ample size and we baked a ham in the oven. My only complaints are as follows: 75 second warm up for the kitchen sink hot water. No anti slip matt in bathtub No dresser/storage options in twin bed bedroom Offlake property management is absolutely wonderful. You can tell they love these homes and the area. Very personable and enthusiastic.

Best Thanksgiving trip yet!

Absolutely LOVED this cabin! The perfect place for my husband and I to celebrate Thanksgiving together (just the two of us). It was beautiful, the layout was great (all open floor plan), and the view and privacy was excellent. It actually sits on the side of a mountain. Very well stocked, immaculately clean, and everything we needed for our 4 day stay. We've been renting cabins for 4 yrs now for our Thanksgiving holiday since my mom passed, (new tradition) and this was the best one yet! I totally recommend this cabin. It's only a short drive to Deep Creek State Park, so a summer trip here would be awesome. Lots of fun trails around the cabin too which was great. I Loved It!!!!!

Nice Place To Stay

The accommodations were clean and had a variety of games to play - including ping pong. Having a washer and dryer onsite is a plus. The view was nice, minus the utility lines cutting through the woods. At this time of year, very little wildlife - saw a few birds and one rabbit. Ticks, saw plenty of - maybe from the rain. Being able to relax out on the decks was nice and we enjoyed using the fireplace and fire pit. Was only a 20 minute drive to the lake area. The worst thing was how close the house is to the road - not so much for the noise, but getting in and out of the driveway onto the road can be treacherous, as there is not much visibility on the left when leaving the property and cars can come around fast. In spite of those things, it was an enjoyable time with family and friends. Relaxing.

My only complaints

- The plastic chair on downstairs porch collapsed / broke first time sitting on it. I weigh 180 lbs. Fortunately, I did not get hurt. - Dishwasher does not clean the dishes very well. - Some skillets / pans need replaced; food sticks. - Bed mattresses seem to be getting worn; getting low in middle; too soft. The cabin is fantastic, great location and could only be improved if highway was not so close, with lots of truck traffic. If it wasn't for that, the serenity and beauty would be outstanding. Would consider renting again for sure.

Exceeded our expectations!

Kendall Retreat definitely exceeded our expectations. We had a wonderful stay and wished we could have stayed longer. We are planning to return to Kendall Retreat next summer. The owners thought of everything to make their cabin inviting to guests. The cabin was spotless when we got there, and it was our hope that we left it spotless. Although we left the cabin to visit some state parks and to kayak, we would have been very happy not leaving the secluded property of Kendall Retreat. We enjoyed the use of the grill, fire pit and decks. I would most certainly highly recommend Kendall Retreat!
