It was nice but he had creepy notes all around about the house keepers. Some towels smelled like dog pee. I feel like rosemary and Sophia could not be cleaning like they say they are. Would not stay again

This property was an excellent choice for our stay, offering ample communal space and plenty of sleeping accommodations. Its location is a major plus, situated just off the interstate and only about 20 minutes from the Fort Leonard Wood West Gate, with convenient access to nearby restaurants and stores.A standout feature for us was the home's pet-friendly policy and the large, fenced-in yard, which was perfect for our small dogs. The unique layout, with separate upstairs and downstairs living areas—each with its own bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom—is ideal for families or groups seeking privacy and their own space.While the home has an older, classic charm, reflecting its age in its decor, it was very comfortable. We did notice some dust on high shelves and vents, which is worth being aware of for guests with allergies, but it didn't detract from our positive experience.Overall, we had a wonderful, complaint-free stay. This is a great option for anyone looking for a large, pet-friendly home with lots of space for guests that is close to Fort Leonard Wood!

Great location. Plenty of beds. Big deck. Not a lot of parking as it is on a narrow gravel road, but we borrowed a couple of spaces in the church parking lot next door. House could definitely use a deep clean. Smart tvs in the bedrooms. Master bathroom. Plenty of seating for our soldiers to stretch out and relax and family and friends to visit. Would stay again if ever in the area.

Not my best rental

We arrived late at the property. It was dirty to my standards. When I pay the amount I pay I expect it to be clean. 3 inches of dust on ceiling fans and hair and dirt in showers to my standards is not clean. It is a huge place for family and good location to the base. However we had no interest the whole stay. We woke up to water dripping on our heads. So I did complain to the owner and asked for my last night money back and we left early. I am not going to stay somewhere with all that going on. He did refund the night. However a couple of days later he accused me of having a dog in the house. I don’t even own a dog. I asked to see my dog that I don’t own on camera because he has the house surrounded in cameras and he couldn’t provide. No apology or anything. Stated he was going by what his cleaning ladies told him. I personally would never stay with this host again. It was a very negative experience. I was very upset that I was accused of a dog when I don’t even own a dog and the house was dirty upon arrival.

Upon entering the property, the spaciousness of the home was immediately apparent. The owner provided a warm greeting and appeared to be very accommodating, ensuring the keys were readily available upon our arrival. Detailed directions to the property were provided several days in advance, and we were encouraged to communicate any needs that arose during our stay. It was also evident that the floors had been recently vacuumed.However, several factors contributed to the two-star rating. Upon entry, a noticeable odor of pets and an aged environment was present. Cat or dog hair was pervasive throughout the home, particularly on seating surfaces. While it is understood that the property is pet-friendly, a more thorough deep cleaning, especially of blankets, towels, and couches, would be beneficial. These items exhibited both odors and pet hair. Additionally, the cleanliness of the tubs was subpar, and dust accumulation was visible on ceiling fans. Furthermore, roaches were observed on the couches, and a leak was present in the kitchen sink. Finally, the beds were not comfortable.I am grateful we were able to find somewhere affordable to stay, but I don’t think we would stay here again. We didn’t go in the garage, seemed to be very cluttered and we didn’t dare go downstairs for anything.With this said, Thank you Charles for the welcome and hope this helps in some way to families that plan on staying.

Everything was fine and we enjoyed the stay. My only recommendation is that the house is old and has a lot of items that crowd it mostly in the basement. The owner should consider some upgrades.

Homey Stay

The property was a great property for my family. The home was very nice and prepared for us. I even had an issue finding something, and the owner helped out no problem. We have an infant and 3 others under 5. There was plenty of room for us and even some legos that the kids played with! We will definitely be back again when we visit family!

Nice owner, uncomfortable stay

Dishes were dirty, property was dusty. Air conditioning was out. Owner kept saying he needed to turn it off but never did. It ran but kept freezing up. We believe it was known before we got there because there was supply of filters in closet. Thermostats were set at 63 upstairs and 68 downstairs. Twice when I left I got a call about it but nothing was ever done. Window was broken in one bedroom so you could not open to let cool air in. Owner stayed on property. Not that we had anything to hide but back deck was not private. I don't normally complain. But, my older daughter split cost and had bedroom with broken window. I hope this gets fixed and next tenant does not get run around. Never got TV in living room to work upstairs. Very stressful and disappointing.

The price was right, accommodations were acceptable.

There was lots of space, lots of amenities. Plenty of towels, blankets, etc.only real complaints was cleanliness. It could use a deep clean. The house was generally clean, but edges, corners, etc were gross in a lot of places, and there were several bugs in the lower level near the plants.

Perfect stay for AIT graduation

Although this is an older home, it is well kept and clean. It had a homey feel that reminded me of going to visit my grandparents as a child. Just about anything you need to cook a home cooked meal was available. Pots, pans, Utensils, etc. Plenty of bedding. Games, etc. Easy drive to fort Leanord Wood. The communication with the owner was pleasant and he's the kindest man! My family enjoyed meeting up there for my sons OSUT graduation.
