STJ-saari tarvitsee kävijöitä, ja selvisimme hirmumyrskyistä mahdollisimman vähän vahinkoa! Ole hyvä ja tule käymään!

Villa Carolina on yksityinen ja rauhallinen pala paratiisin osa, joka sijaitsee arvostetulla alueella Coral Bay, joka tunnetaan nimellä Ylä-Carolina. Se on korkealla ja on kätkeytyneenä rinteessä Neitsytsaarten kansallispuiston kanssa. Coral Bayn baarit, ravintolat ja viehättävät kaupat ovat vain viiden minuutin päässä mäkeä. Kuuluisia St. Shoren pohjoisrannan rantoja John on alle 10 minuutin päässä. Francis Bay ja Maho Bay ovat lähimmät. Useat rannat kohti East Endiä, ovat myös noin 10 minuutin ajomatkan päässä. Suolalammen uskomattoman miellyttävät hiekkarannat ovat ehkä 15 minuutin päässä. Se on täydellinen paikka nauttia saaren molemmilta puolilta.

Small family vacation

From the the amazing house and views, to the easy communication with Sean, this home was simply spectacular. The online pictures do not do the properties view and landscape justice. The property is on a large, secluded lot towards the top of the mountain. Views so good, it was hard to leave the outoor area, and head to beaches or town. Thanks for a great trip.

Villa Carolina

View was spectacular. However there are some things that really put me off about the property. Due to water conservation from the property there is not a infinity pool as picture shows, not a big deal. Pool was still awesome. Potty situation was a bit odd but get it due to water conservation. You have to play a game of where's waldo finding the correct switch for the fans in the living room. Be prepared to know how to drive a vehicle in manual mode to get to this property. Roads are very steep and so is driveway. Other than that it was an awesome place to stay. Unforgettable.

Fantastic house in a fantastic place

Villa Carolina is everything we could have wanted in a vacation home in St John. It's beautifully appointed; it was clean and well-kept; it's quiet. And the view of Coral Bay from the pool deck is spectacular. Communication with the host was great. The written instructions were clear and covered everything we needed to know.The pictures really don't do the home justice. If you are looking for relaxation at the east end of St. John, this is the place for you. We will definitely be back.

Amazing Property with Spectacular Views

This was our third visit to St. John and this property was our favorite. A great location with easy access to north shore beaches and Coral Bay. The bedrooms were comfortable, the kitchen had all the equipment needed, everything was very clean and the views were amazing. The pool was our favorite place to spend every afternoon. All the amenities were in good condition. Communication with the property manager was excellent. We had no issues and would highly recommend.

Villa Carolina - a peaceful oasis

This house always delivers. We had such a restful time. The house is beautiful, well-supplied, and quiet. Communication with the owners went very smoothly. We love being away from the business of Cruz Bay, and the proximity to the lovely north shore beaches of St John. We will definitely be back.

Lovely Home

Beautiful house with a spacious common area that comfortably accommodated the five of us. Although we don’t do much cooking on vacation, I think this may have been the best equipped kitchen we’ve found in a beach house. And we appreciated that the driveway wasn’t so steep as to be difficult to navigate. The sunrise woke us at 5:30 every morning, but it was so beautiful it was hard to object!

Great Except for the Mosquitos

Villa Carolina was beautiful,. The location is gorgeous and the house is well stocked. Sadly, while we were there it was swarmed by mosquitos. My daughter was mauled continously. We actually resorted to the local custom of burning smudge pots filled with pieces of collapsed termite mounds to ward off the clouds of biters. Still, I would recommend this house despite the bugs.

Stunning views, gorgeous private home!

My mother, sister and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful, immaculately clean home high above Coral Bay! The views over to the British Virgin Islands are superb, particularly at sunrise, and the landscaping on this private, gated property is gorgeous. We each enjoyed a private, air-conditioned bedroom and bath (the showers in the two open air baths on the main level are beautifully designed), and the house is well stocked with condiments, pans, dishes, etc. We did wish that there were screens on the doors out to the pool (as there are on the windows on the opposite side of the home) to allow for cross breezes through the great room, as the living/kitchen/indoor dining area was on the warm side (AC would solve this as well). Communication with the owners and manager of the property was easy with a quick response to one issue we did have. Overall we loved our stay and would definitely stay here again, particularly given the perfect location for easy access to both the north shore beaches and the east end beaches (great snorkeling at North and South Haulover). Many thanks for an incredible week on St. John!

Hyvää: Sijainti ja listauksen paikkansapitävyys

Wonderful villa with some minor hitches.

We (myself, husband and my older mom) stayed at Villa Carolina for a week right after Thanksgiving. We were looking forward to this trip for many months! The villa was as pictured and the location was truly stunning. We did have a few small little hitches (easily remedied) that I feel warrant honesty. I'll start with the pros: - The views are nothing short of spectacular. Truly. I am not a morning person and sunrises were 100% worth it. - The grounds are well-kept and so lush. Total privacy but a 5-10 min ride down the mountain to Coral Bay. - The villa was nicely furnished and comfortable; we had everything we needed to cook a few meals. Having beach chairs, a few floats and coolers was a welcome accommodation. - A/C in the bedrooms was really a life saver at night for cool, comfortable sleeping. We all slept very well here. The cons: - This villa is located in a lush, Caribbean paradise and there WILL be some bugs (and an occasional lizard or frog in the bathroom). In order to have the breeze come through the main area (which, to be clear, does NOT have A/C, just fans) you'll need to have the terrace doors open. We were OK with a normal expectation of a few critters, and the breeze WAS glorious. However, at the time of our stay, there was a roach issue inside the villa that was above and beyond a normal bug here or there from an open door. At first I thought it was "normal" for such a location, but as the week progressed, they were EVERYWHERE. I felt it was appropriate to let the property manager know (which I did, the second to last day) and he responded in a timely manner. We were told the property is regularly serviced by an exterminator and that the roaches were not a normal thing. So, all in all, what's one to do? We certainly didn't let it ruin the fun but it did put a damper on the stay. If you are considering booking I would make certain this issue has been resolved. - The pool lights do not work. We were told about this in advance, and apparently getting things repaired on St John in a timely manner can be challenging, but just know before you go if you enjoy night swimming. - There were some communications from the manager here and there that felt a little passive-aggressive in nature, and frankly, I didn't love that. I just chalked it up to tone getting lost in translation via text and didn't let it ruffle too many feathers, but details like this do matter and affect overall experience.

The pictures don't do the views justice. They are fantastic. The house itself is as advertised. It's well appointed and clean. The layout works really well, as all bedrooms can be accessed indoors, directly from the main room. The location makes it easy to access just about any location on the entire island in approx. 25 minutes or less. The best beaches are much closer.The owner was very easy to deal with and checked in to see how we doing on a regular basis. We would definitely stay there again.

Perfect house for couples!

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The incredible view was just as presented in the pictures. Living space was clean and comfortable. The two identical main floor bedrooms were comfortable and perfect for us and our friends. The Villa was well stocked with kitchen essentials, beach gear, towels, etc. The main living area and bedrooms were very comfortable with just the ceiling fans as there was a nice breeze throughout our stay. Sean promptly responded to all our questions and was very thorough with instructions. The drive up to the house was steep in parts with several switchbacks. But after a few days, we were much more comfortable with the driving. I would highly recommend this property!

Fantastic property

This is our third location that we have stayed at in St. John. Fantastic property-very comfortable bedrooms and the view was wonderful. All amenities were in great condition overall. Communication with the property manager/owner was also excellent-We had no issues at all and would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Gehrman Family in St John

We all had a wonderful time at Villa Carolina and the Coral Bay side of the island. So many fun things to do as a family. The home had more than enough room for the 6 of us and we thoroughly enjoyed the outside deck area and pool. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets! Sean was easy to contact and responded readily to our questions. We all hope to return to Villa Carolina again.

Just Wow

This villa was beautiful, well stocked, extremely comfortable and felt like home. The outdoor living space was perfect with the most beautiful view. We cooked in 5 nights and had everything we could need. We love this location in Coral Bay due to ease of access to North and South beaches. The wind and current change daily so accessing the best beach for the day is no problem. Drive up is totally fine. If you haven’t driven the switchbacks before the first few times maybe be interested but overall this drive wasn’t bad. Driveway was easy! When we visit the island again this will be our place to book!

Unbelievable Views

We stayed one week at Villa Carolina and found ourselves wishing for more time there! The views of Coral Bay and the surrounding islands were stunning!! The villa is well laid out for two or three couples. The landscaping is beautiful and offers great privacy. We found the kitchen to be well stocked and all but the filtered water from the fridge in good working order. We were supplied with a water pitcher with filter for drinking and cooking. The beds were very comfortable but we missed a few items in the bathroom that we wished we knew in advance. Next time we’ll take our own hair conditioner, bar soap and Kleenex. Overall, this was a wonderful experience and we appreciated the quiet beauty of the Coral Bay side of St. John !

I have been visiting St. John for about 35 years. This sublime and spectacular island grabbed a hold of me on the first visit, and I had hoped to one day have my own piece of paradise.

I've been fortunate enough to make that happen, and lucky enough to share it with others.

We chose the Coral Bay area to be 'on the quiet side' and we chose the home site for the view and elevated location. We also considered this a very easy and convenient spot to enjoy both sides of the island. While looking at the property for a possible purchase back in 1988, we had to climb a tree to see the view. We almost fell out! When we had the home built in 2000 and 2001, we made sure to leave that tree, and it is right at the top of the driveway now.

The location of the property provides for some of the best views on the island. You can see 11 islands all the way down to Virgin Gorda, as well as over all of Coral Bay and the Carolina Valley. There's just no way that any picture can do it justice! Sunrises are truly amazing. Fantastic breezes are common! The villa borders the National Park and is totally private. There is no through traffic. A true escape.
