Good but not great

The place was clean and had more space than we were expecting which was a pleasant surprise. One of the big reasons we booked this location was because it included beach equipment so we were disappointed when one of the two beach chairs were broken and the umbrella was too small to stay put in the sand. We ended up having to rent chairs and an umbrella at the beach for $50/day. The home didn't have anything in the kitchen like salt, pepper, sugar, etc. which we also expected to be there. The buildings dryer was also out of service at the time of our stay. The location couldn't be better. When we were there the complex was not busy but the front door does open directly to the elevator so during busy season it could be louder with more traffic. It was a good stay with a beautiful view of the ocean but if small things were improved it would have been an even better stay!

Great location

Great location, everything you need is within walking distance. Shrunk Gulley Oyster Bar and Sunrise Coffee Co. are fantastic. Would love to come back when all the shops downstairs reopen.

Great stay

The condo is great. Location is perfect with a very short walk to the beach. Bed was comfortable and the kitchen is great, has everything you need to cook. Has roku stick in the tv. The deck has a great view and comfortable chairs as well

Get-away with my wife for a week. Have stayed at this studio on multiple occasions and will conti...

Location is ideal with proximity to the beach and eateries. Only downside to this vacation was leaving my speaker on the beach. 30A Chairs beach service found it but left at location we were set up. Obviously was not there the next day. Their policy is to leave because have being accused of stealing items. Policy makes no sense. Leave inn-sand for someone else to find. Don’t know if will use 30A Chairs in future unless no other option.

Gulf Place

We had a wonderful time. Recommend that they property dispose of some of their beddings - specifically the sheets and replace with new! We alerted the contact as soon as we got there and noticed that a few of the pillowcases appeared to have stains. It would be great in their description about the pools to explain they are not located with Gulf Place but are across the street in another property. It’s listed as shared and the name of Cabana but if you don’t know that Cabana is another property you’d think it was the name of the pool. We literally picked the place for a two night stay- cost and location w easy access to beach. It served the purpose.

Convenient

The place is nice and as it shows in the picture . Furniture are comfortable and view is beautiful. Everything is a walking distance . The staff are super nice . They even let us check in earlier but we had to leave a day earlier due that we noticed there were little cockroaches walking around and we killed a big one at night . It was scary . The place looked clean except the toilet I had to clean myself to use it and the refrigerator is super dirty on the outside and floor felt dusty . It needs improvement but it was convenient they everything is just at walking distance . We were unable to use any amenities. We booked for 2 nights but we only stayed for one night . We had to check out next day.

So Much Potential

Let's start with the pros: Excellent Location! Great view of the gulf. Perfect size for a small family. Kitchen was well appointed. Management was responsive. Cons: This condo was not clean when we arrived. The floors were covered in sand and it was obvious that they hadn't been mopped. They sent someone to clean them, but this person did not mop. Every dish I pulled out to use was dirty with crusted over food. I had to wash everything I cooked with before using it. The shower is tiled and the grout was filthy. It needs to be scoured. We found baby puffs all over the place, even though we had no baby in our group. Indicative that the floors were not thoroughly cleaned. The fridge really should be replaced. It is old, rusty on the outside, and has mismatched shelving in the inside. The seal is not good either. The beds were hard as a rock, furniture stained, and decor was very dated and faded out. There was no dustpan to match the broom, the vacuum did not work, and the mop was old and gross. So we had to sweep our sand into a pile in the corner our whole stay. There are no bath mats, door mats, or kitchen rugs. This condo needs some love. It needs a deep cleaning, paint touch ups, and a few updated appliances and decor. A family member rented the unit below us, with the same exact layout and similar price, but it was 100 times better. This condo has a better view and no noise makers above it. It could be so much better!

Great location!

All about the location for this rental! Outside porch has a beautiful ocean view, and this unit is right across from 2 or the Gulf Place private beach entrances. The inside is basic and dated, and the mattresses could use replacing, but we would probably stay again bc of the price and location.

Location is excellent!

Beach is very short walk as well as restaurants and shopping. I always enjoy my bike rides in the quiet neighborhood.

Perfect location

My husband and I have stayed at three or four different units within golf place but this one is by far our favorite. The location simply cannot be beat! Sitting on the large balcony looking out over the ocean is spectacular. The kitchen is absolutely large enough for us. we stayed in the front bed and had a minimal amount of noise from the elevators but for the most part everything was quiet, chill, and amazing. The one negative I would say would be that the Jacuzzi tub did not work, but in the grand scheme of things that is a tiny inconvenience, normally the complementary laundry, right outside the door, the giant balcony, and the full sized appliances more than make up for a faulty Jacuzzi tub. We definitely hope to return and absolutely plan to stay in this unit again. We love Gulf Place and this is our favorite unit by far.

Mixed feelings

Positives: location- across the street from beach. Walkable downtown area. Right next to bicycle pathway. Bike rentals are downstairs. Appliances were very clean. Easy parking. Great view. Nice balcony and seating. Great natural light during the day. You can see the ocean and sunset from main window. Negatives: I just didn’t feel like it was super clean. There was sand all over. There was a thick layer of dust on headboard, around bathtub, bathroom is dated. Shower seems newly tiled. Visible layer of old dust on baseboards, crumbs under sofabed, lots of crumbs and sand under sleeper sofa cushions. There was poor communication about internet issues with Vacasa. Internet is not Vacasa’s fault, but not getting back to me to let me know it was a provider issue is bad customer service. Television remote had battery corrosion on the outside. Condo is poorly lit in the evening. Your legs won’t fit under countertop when sitting on barstools. Beach umbrella was broken. I want and might rent again, but I hope more detail will get put into cleaning. I didn’t report any of my issues. I normally do, but this time I just felt like these things shouldn’t have gotten overlooked. Cleanliness is everything. I also didn’t want my vacation time inconvenienced so that someone could be sent to do it. Just do it right the first time.

Good but not great

The room was clean. Everything is pretty dated. The plumbing needs some work as the bathroom sink did not want to drain properly. It's a bit rusty (bathroom/fridge) and dated. And it's quite tight. While there are two beds, and the master is comfortable, I would think that anything more than 2 people would get quite crowded. Finally, the door to the balcony does not work properly. It will not lock.
