Overall nice. One bedroom is right off the living room, so not ideal if some people are staying up later. The two bedrooms upstairs share a bathroom. The house is well stocked with a beautiful view.

A wonderful, relaxing vacation away from the city & suburbs!

"Wanted to thank you for the wonderful time we had at your Cabin-on-the Cove. It's a beautiful and relaxing setting. The characterization of the home as a "cabin" doesn't do it justice!!! It's exceptionally attractive both inside and out and the grounds were perfect for walking our dogs and providing dramatic views for me and my adult children. You provided everything we needed. We cooked many meals on the grill and appreciated your providing the extra tank of propane (which, by the way, we did not use). We - meaning my sons - caught enough crabs for for two separate meals for our family of four. We were able to visit several of the surrounding Northern Neck communities and enjoyed our walks through their main streets. We also visited the nearby Vir-Mar beach on two early mornings and were impressed by the 180-degree vista of the Chesapeake Bay. Thanks again."

Thank you to Ryan for a wonderful stay at the cabin. If you are looking for a peaceful stay for some R&R this is the place to be. Ryan went out of his way to make sure we had a canoe that I had requested. Unfortunately there were a ton of jellyfish the entire time we were there and the boys did not catch any fish. However, we did get some crabs and steamed them. Loved having the crab pots. The paddle board was great! Would def recommend!

Great for Get-togethers

This property has great counter-space in kitchen and enough bedrooms to accompany an extended family/friends get-together. The privacy is great (especially when the corn is high) and the scenery is beautiful. It is as advertised. Our family of 6 adults and one 12-mo-old stayed 4 nights during a terrible heat wave. The downstairs stayed cool, but the upstairs had trouble maintaining a comfortable temp. The host provided box fans, and that really helped. Enjoyed the crab pots and kayaks. Saw the Spring Cove heron two days in a row.

Relaxing and peaceful. 3 nights with plenty of space for the five adults. The kitchen was equipped with all the necessary items to cook and enjoy family size meal prep. I would definitely be back and hope to stay at the same location. Also, I found the price for my stay a whole lot reasonable than staying in a hotel.

This rental was a great idea for a weekend getaway. The kids loved being at a cabin on the water and being outside. Only downside was pollen but you can't control nature lol. Everything was cozy and comfortable. Found a great restaurant too and loved being off the grid. 100% would do again!

Peaceful

Our family had a wonderful, relaxing and peaceful stay. We spent most of our time outside, the property is beautiful. We loved the kayaks and view of the water, flat yard for playing games and sitting around the fire pit. Lovely Cabin on the Cove

The cabin was exactly as described - beautiful, serene, and clean. We had a good time. Weather cold have been better, but we were still able to catch a couple dozen crabs early in the week. Place is a bit remote, it takes awhile to get to other places, but that is what we like. Would recommend this rental to those who love privacy and the serenity of being on the water.

Amazing place!

We stayed for a week and had an amazing time! We caught crabs off the back deck. We loved going to Vir-Mar beach and all the local fishing spots. We also tried out the sunset cruise and had a fantastic time! Definitely an amazing vacation and can't wait to go again in the future! Any questions we had were answered quickly, Ryan was a fantastic host!

Labor Day holiday Retreat

Cabin on the Cove is a lovely home in a beautiful setting. We enjoyed all that the home had to offer! It is most spacious and comfortable. The cove was wonderful for kayaking and my granddaughter taught herself to stand up and paddle board. We played croquet on the lawn several times. Many thanks for a great holiday!

I know and love this area, my family works and goes to school here. I married the love of my life Jessica in 2006 and we have two boys. Bowe; 18, is currently attending Bridgewater College in Bridgewater, Va. He's majoring in business and on the baseball team. Cason; 11, is in the 6th grade at Northumberland Middle School. He likes baseball, basketball, and most of all video games. My family enjoys fishing with me, boat rides, cooking, going to the beach, and everything this area has to offer

You will enjoy the coziness of a log cabin coupled with the beautiful waterfront views, and the stunning sunsets. The first thing you will notice about the property and this area is the laid back feel. The property has a grill so you can stay home and grill overlooking the water, or enjoy some of the many restaurants in our area. We are conveniently locate 15 minutes from Reedville and 25 minutes from the quaint town of Kilmarnock. We have paddleboards, a kayak, crab pots, and a dock to fish off of. You can swim off of the dock; we recommend wearing water shoes or other type of shoes, as the bottom is muddy and there are some oyster shells that could cut your feet, or you can go to a community beach less than three miles away. Perfect for couples looking to get away and families looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Less than a two hour drive to three cities, amusement parks and other recreation. Once you come to our area you will fall in love with it.
