Wonderful home!!

We had such a wonderful time at the Olde Westerlo Village House! Our stay was filled with so much family fun, and this lovely home was perfect for our family gathering. The home itself is so nicely decorated, has a well stocked kitchen, very comfortable beds and sitting areas, and very clean. Thank you!!

The house is a beautifully done home in the town of Westerlo. The hosts were very accommodating and offered to put the air conditioners back in when it became unseasonably warm. The kitchen was very well appointed, I would say better than most. The house is very comfortable and clean.

This property is managed by a fourth party who expects payments via credit card over the phone. I book through VRBO to avoid this hassle and the fourth party, Evolve, refuses to bill any other way for the pet fee. The house is fine. It’s a little odd that the shower is downstairs and you have to walk through the kitchen, dining room, and family room to get to the shower, but that’s not a big deal. The place was reasonably clean and had plenty of towels and essential kitchen supplies.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. To clarify, Evolve is our trusted booking and management partner and securely collects required pet fees on our behalf. These fees help cover the additional cleaning and preparation needed after guests travel with pets. Unfortunately, despite bringing a pet to the property, you declined to complete payment of the required pet fee after multiple requests. Our historic 150-year-old village home does have a unique layout that reflects its character, including a full bathroom with a shower on the first floor and a half bath near the upstairs bedrooms. This layout is described in our listing so guests can determine if it is the right fit for their stay. We're pleased to hear you found the home clean, well-stocked with towels, and equipped with the kitchen essentials you needed. We look forward to welcoming future guests who appreciate the charm and history of our home.

Wonderful experience!

The Olde Westerlo Village House is so very lovely, warm and inviting and it was such a pleasure to stay in during our trip! We so appreciated the well-stocked kitchen, and the great space for relaxing and visiting with family. The village location is more of a country setting, and yet so nice to be just a half hour from the bustle of Albany as well as close by to some great restaurants, breweries, and hiking. Evolve was very helpful with our booking, and always exceptionally responsive and informative and the owners were very accommodating. Wonderful experience, thank you!!

Outstanding!

This home is a perfect place to stay for vacation. I would recommend making an effort to travel to Waterlo and staying here. It’s close to Huyck Preserve and Thatcher Park for hiking and plenty of other spectacular places to play outside. And it’s close to Albany. The owners are extremely friendly and accommodating to all our needs and questions. They recently renovated this house and did a really great job making it feel spacious and welcoming. It’s immaculately clean and has all the features needed for cooking a gourmet meal or warming up soup in the microwave. I am so happy we found this home for our stay. We attended a concert at the local church with local musicians and explored parks and wandered the local area on our walks. I give the owners the highest praise for mastering the art VRBO.
