Imagine a peaceful wooded hilltop overlooking the lush forests of the Smokies. Now picture a delightfully appointed log cabin perched on that idyllic spot, surrounded by trees as far as the eye can see.

That's what awaits you at the Lazy Bear Cabin - a cozy getaway that artfully blends tranquility, luxury and accessibility.

Though seemingly off the beaten track, this cabin is conveniently located near key area attractions. From the comfort of the expansive porch, you can relax to the faint whistle of the Dollywood train carrying happy passengers through the valley below.

The wraparound deck and outdoor living space let you bask in the sights and sounds of nature all around. Inside, creative rustic décor like an antler chandelier and unique tree branch fixtures bring the forest right into the charming interior.

Two plush queen beds, a sleeper sofa & a folding floor mattress welcomes up to 5 guests. The spa tub, fully equipped kitchen, and modern washer/dryer offer the comforts of home.

The real magic happens upstairs in the recreation loft. Amidst stunning floor-to-ceiling windows, play foosball, arcade games, stream a movie or show, or just lounge in the bean bags admiring views of the surrounding trees.

Keep watch for local black bears grazing on the property if you're lucky! Remember to keep safe distances and never feed or approach the wildlife. Enjoy this life-long memory at a distance!

The property was beautiful and very clean. The couches and mattress could have been more comfortable, and the bed linens showed a bit of wear. We also chose to purchase our own pillows for extra comfort. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Nice escape drone the hustle and bustle

We loved the spot. It was an exciting drive in and we were greeted by our beat neighbor that evening. We really enjoyed the games that were there including the vintage video game machine. The jacuzzi was a bonus. The neighbors were friendly and the location was beautiful.

We had such a great time in Gatlinburg, and this cabin was the perfect place to stay. Sitting on the balcony, you felt like you were in a tree house - so relaxing. And, my kids loved the arcade games. The cabin was close to everything we wanted to do - hiking, fly fishing, Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Definitely recommend!

This cabin is absolutely stunning, the effort they put into every detail of decor is amazing. All of the wood throughout and the beautiful sinks in the bathroom and the kitchen. There is nothing negative to say about our stay here. The bed was so comfy I wanted to take it home with me! The relaxing porch and hot tub was wonderful. If you are looking for a secluded, private, peaceful place to stay, this cabin is it. We did get to see one bear at our stay also which was so cool! We can’t wait to come back. Thank you so much!!

Hidden Gem

We absolutely loved our stay at the cabin. We have stayed in one before that was part of a congested community.This is not at all, there are neighbors that reside around the cabin but it feels secluded. The neighbor across the way was very friendly.We enjoyed the wildlife. We saw a red fox and there was a bear out for a stroll so do be aware you are definitely out in the woods. lolThe road to the cabin was not what we expected so drive with caution and be mindful of other tourist that may drive a bit foolishly. Not the place for that at all.The management was very helpful and kind. We couldn’t find the switch to the fans upstairs (it’s on the stairwell post) I had hung a hoodie over it. lolIt is very well maintained, very clean and decorated absolutely adorable.I’m saving this one for my next trip up there. Our stay wasn’t long enough.I highly recommend.You won’t regret this one.It’s perfect for getting away from the rat race and relaxing.Book your stay now!Enjoy.

Staying here was such an incredible experience. The cabin was stocked with everything we needed to make meals with the food we brought. We are a family of four. The kids had a blast in the upstairs loft area and plenty of room. The back porch was so peaceful. We seen several bears pass through while drinking our morning coffee. So many things to do just a few miles away. We’re already planning on coming back next year.

Very nice

Cabin was just as advertised. Located a couple miles up the mountain. Road leading to is very narrow and steep in places. Keep that in mind if traveling with a large truck. Would definitely stay here again

The property was absolutely beautiful and the neighbors were so kind to us all. The owner called to check in on us to assure things were going well and that we were settled in. I will return to this property next year! Bears visit this property daily.

Bear Bliss

We absolutely loved our stay! The cabin is everything we wanted and needed. It was perfect for our group of 2 adults and 3 kids (14, 11, 9). The kids ran the loft which had an amazing view of the BEARS! There's a family of them that live close by and frequent the front and back yard. They are very calm and so cute! They are easily frightened so they will run away if you shine a flashlight or make a noise. Head all the warnings though. We stayed inside when they were around. There was only one time that they were out when we were getting home or needing to leave so it's not an inconvenience. The cabin and amenities that we tried were very clean and in working order. It was furnished with all utensils we needed to cook. The large deck was very relaxing with a wooded view. Sitting back there feels secluded but there are neighbors close by that are very friendly and helpful. The cabin is only about 13 minutes to the Pigeon Forge strip but it's a windy drive there. We got used to it after one time up and down so it's not bad. We've had much worse at other cabins. There are a few steep hills so be prepared for that. Again, not that terrible but something to mention in case you have an older car. Overall, I'd stay here again. We loved it and hope you do too.

Adorable cabin & perfect for families!

The cabin was very comfortable & our 11 & 13 year old daughters LOVED having their own space upstairs in the loft. Their favorite part was the game table. The shower (& entire bathroom) was gorgeous! The hot tub worked perfectly & all the chairs on the deck were perfect for relaxing. The location to PF & Gatlinburg was awesome. Seeing 2 bears hanging out, playing together across the street was a really cool experience.

The property was very nice. I thought it was built extremely well built with nice character built in. The drive up the mountain was a little nerve racking, but well worth it once you made it to the cabin. The bears were very cool to see. I would recommend it to my friends for sure.
