If you aren’t from this area you may be uncomfortable in the environment. Very inner city. Lots of stores and bodegas in walking distance but as I said if you aren’t accustomed to urban life I’d avoid venturing out in the neighborhood. Decent accommodation, a little dirty, couch and throw rugs in particular. Good kitchen and bath. Was difficult contacting host for entry instructions had to call VRBO customer service to get the host to respond to my message and phone call. One big negative..there are 4 temp rentals there and I was the only guest, I dropped my wallet in the secured hallway and when I retired to retrieve it about 30 minutes later it was empty. My cards and ID’s were there but all my cash was taken. And considering I was the only guest and one permanent resident/host with a security camera one can deduce that it was the one other party in the building unfortunately. Stealing from a guest is not the best way to represent good customer service. Disappointing to say the least. If I’d had to repeat this I’d skip this accommodation primarily due to the theft of my money by people that were supposed to be sponsoring me and the lack of responsiveness. Otherwise it’s livable.
