2BR apt close to beach

Cozy apartment that suited our weekend stay. No frills and had everything we needed. Learned the hard way on parking as your vehicle cannot block the sidewalk. Appreciated being 50 feet away from the sand. Thank you, Isaiah.

Pet freindly made all the difference

A little small..but we made it work Set off the fire alarm cooking bacon thou Air unit needed cleaning...bath upper vent as well...many light bulbs out.landlord good on reply to guestions..bringing us extra batteries asap for t v...😊 Had a time

Our Stay

It was disappointing to not be able to connect to wifi and we were not able to use the tv. The toaster was broken -- The hot water handle in the shower was also broken. Besides that, it was a nice location, nice walk to the boardwalk.

The cabin was very coastal and conformable.A big issue TV did not work. Could not watch the Stanley cup finales. Handle in the shower for hot water was broken.

Location is key!

Located so close to the beach! Felt safe and secure and off street parking for 1 vehicle provided. Short doable distance walk into town. It was small and outdated but did the job. Beware the mattresses were very uncomfortable that we needed to buy a mattress topper. Also the appliances were dated, fridge small, toaster did not work also at least one stove burner didn’t turn on. Kitchenware was basic for cups, plates and a mix of silverware and old scrapped pans. Make sure to bring all other kitchen necessities. I would definitely rent this place again and be a little more prepared.

I do not recommend

The location is correct, but the sofa-bed was broken. The 5th person had to sleep on the floor, since the owner didn't come to see him until the next day. We were missing sheets for this person and also pillowcases in the rooms (not to mention dishcloths. The mattress on the sofa bed was also dirty, it hadn't been washed and was full of seeds and sand. If you rent this site, don't have any expectations and don't rent for more than 5 people. Personally, I recommend it only for the location near the beach.

Great location for the weekend!

I stayed here with my boyfriend, aunt, and mom, while visiting family that camps every year at Old Orchard. The location was perfect, close to family, right at the beach, and not a bad walk to the pier either. While the apartment we stayed in was small, it had everything we needed and was very clean. Parking was a bit tricky—tandem parking with two rentals. We found the other people and coordinated with them to find us if they needed to get out. Unfortunately my mom got a ticket from the town though because her car was a little bit in the sidewalk—us and the other car were pulled all the way forward, the spot was just a little too short for the 2 cars that had to fit. We did notice what we thought was a leak from the fridge, which wasn’t a big deal to us. We reached out to the owner just so he was aware, and he was super quick to respond and had it looked at once we left. Overall, great stay!

Orchard Beach Visit

This is my second year visiting this same place. The first time we were at apt 5, and everything was ok. We were at apt 7 this year. The site or surrounding area was great. We were like two minutes from the beach. But this year we encountered some issues. The air conditioner was extremely dirty, so we cleaned the filter and the surrounding area. The toaster was broken, so we had to toast our bread in the oven. One of the burners of the stove was not working. the bathroom door knob was missing correct screws and my sister could not open the door from the inside. I had to use the sofa bed and when I opened the bed a screw came out from under the bed and I could not use it. I tried to see if the maintenance person came, but nobody came to help. We went to a Hardware Store and bought screws and tape to fix it. The next day I could use the bed and didn't have to sleep on the sofa with my puppy. The living room lamp is missing a bulb. Every morning when we woke up we found water in front of the refrigerator. I think there is a leek. I think the maintenance person need to do better than what he is doing in this apartment. I still enjoy my stayed at Orchard beach. But you don't pay so much money to encounter so many problems.

if I could attach pictures here I would. who is doing your previous reviews? I Absolutely was fooled, I was willing to have tight quarters for beach closer. Parking for this unit is Absolutely not ok, I am not sharing my # with a stranger so I can get my vehicle in & out of parking spot.(new meaning to shared parking). Host said there is more parking around the block. There is little to no space between building & cars parked. Walkway should be updated. Broken pavement & no space. Disturbing first impression as I walk to the door, the screen is broken & ripped out. That did not just happen & I would imagine when someone so called cleaned before we got there, they would see that & if they cared would have addressed it beforehand. The carpet's & couch are so disgustingly filthy. I was going to put a sheet over it to sit. No I am just not sitting on this, I sat at the kitchen table. We had our infant on our own floor mat. We had 6 guests & 3 towels which I reached out to the host, they replied quickly & would bring more next day. We tried to gulp this complete misrepresentation of a unit. We discovered mold in the Air conditioner. We have an infant with us and children. We called VRBO for assistance immediately. We submitted our photos & video. It was really filthy & the mold and mustiness in the air was not safe for my family. VRBO helped us get a new place to leave immediately. They would notify host.

Great location. Unit needs work.

On the plus side, the owner/manager (I’m not sure which) was very responsive and it would be hard to get much closer to the beach. It’s a very public beach and there’s a lot of foot traffic. It’s also a very short walk to the pier, which is full of arcades, amusement park rides, and honkytonk bars. On the negative side the unit really needs some work and the furniture was stained and rundown. There only a single AC unit for the whole place so during the day the living area was chilly and the rooms a bit warm. The TV didn’t work. The deck needs a paint job. At night I had to prop open a window with a cutting board to keep it open. I rented the place because it was inexpensive, so I wasn’t expecting luxury. I was disappointed because the place was almost run down.

I like that it was so close to the beach. But the property is very out dated and crowded for the square footage of the place. I get that we were paying for the location. But if a few up dates were made, that would be great. The beds are extremely uncomfortable.

Very rundown- good for group of frat brothers

No information from host on location of beach chairs, good restaurants in the area or anything. If I called and asked he told me but he should have a book with helpful information. Common sense if you care about your guests. Tandem parking is horrendous or you can park 3 blocks away. I will say it did not smell or have bugs but it sure looked like it would. Broken screen in door really gives an awful first impression and it didn't get any better from there.

Close to beach

Nice location, close to beach and walking distance to Pier and Playland. Enjoyed having coffee yon the beach each morning. Only complaint was parking. For our unit it was tandem parking with another unit, so if we wanted to drive anywhere, we had to find the renters from the other unit and ask them to let us out, not ideal.

Arrivée stressante

A l'arrivée, le ménage n'était pas fait. Facile d'écrire au gestionnaire mais demande de preuve par photos, appli VRBO n'a pas cette option. Mon mari a réparé un rond de la cuisinière et le grille-pain était defectueux. Nous n'avions pas la bonne clé pour barrer l'appartement, nous devions toujours mettre nos objets de valeur dans l'auto. Stressant d'aller à la plage en sachant que l'appartement n'est pas barré. Sans ces inconvénients,. l'appartement était bien.

Great spot by the beach

Literally just steps from the beach made our weekend getaway so easy. We had two kids with us so being able to make trips to the room from the beach was great.

Great location. Isaiah was awesome.

We had a mishap and Isaiah was so helpful and responsive. Steps from the beach and not a long walk from the pier. Highly recommend!
