This 3 bedroom, (king bed, queen bed, and two twin beds) 2 bath condo on Ole River in Perdido Key, FL is part of the Shipwatch Surf and Yacht Club. Shipwatch Condos are located on the Florida and Alabama line, less than a mile from the famous Flora-Bama Lounge and Oyster Bar. This ground floor condo offers the best of all worlds for families of all sizes. Access to the pool, fishing off the docs are right outside the back patio. Dedicated access to the beach and a second pool are right across the street. Washer and dryer included.
Guests are not allowed to bring boats or jet skis at this time. No more than two vehicles allowed per condo.

This place was great for our family. Enjoyed the 1st floor it was so convenient having the grand babies 3&4 years old be able to play outside without have stairs. The boys fished all day and night and loved every minute of the dock being right in our back yard. They said like the felt like they where home. (We grew up on Long Island NY) The kitchen was fully stocked with all the utensils. The unit was clean and loved the layout. We would definitely return. It was the perfect weekend to celebrate a 30th birthday.

Best VRBO

This VRBO is the best we have stayed at. We loved the first floor sliding doors onto the dock area where our grandson fished and our granddaughter played in the sand. We could also watch the dolphins swimming by, sometimes they stopped to play next to the dock. We loved having a pool on site and it is only a few minutes walk across the street to the beach.The unit was exceptionally clean and well cared for. The owners were easy to contact and super responsive to any questions we had.I would highly recommend this property to anyone coming to Perdido Beach.

Condo is very spacious. Great for a family with small children. Our 3 yr old loved the pool being so close and going out several times a day to watch the hermit crabs crawl in the bay. Kitchen had all the necessities. There are extra blankets and pillows in all the closets, which was nice. No vacuum, only brooms and mops, so i made sure to sweep everyday as we played at the beach all vacation. Great location. Orange Beach is only a few minutes drive with lots of activities, restaurants, and shopping. It was easy to drive across the street and park at the ocean side part of this condo. Made it so easy to get to the beach. We did this everyday we were there and had no problems finding parking anywhere. Both bathrooms have walk-in showers, no tubs, but worked out great for us. They have towels and wash cloths, but would recommend bringing extra if staying several days or you may be doing laundry daily depending on your party size. Husband is already talking about booking this condo again, we had a wonderful experience! Very relaxing, even with small children!

Great Stay

This was our 5th year returning to the area and 1st time at this particular condo. We loved it! This unit is in a perfect location. The patio leads directly to the pier/dock at the rear of the property and is just steps away from the pool. The condo itself is large inside and has plenty of room for everyone. when we arrived everything was clean and there were no issues at all. Communication was quick and check-in was easy. We made use of the fitness facility, caught fish on the dock, easily walked back and forth to beach daily....really could not ask for anything more.

Great Stay!

Everything was great. Check in was super easy. Plenty of parking. Clean condo. There were quite a bit of fruit flies in the unit when we arrived but everything was absolutely great other than that (that was the only reason I didn’t give cleanliness a 5 star rating). Perfect location within walking distance to FlorBama. Overall, it was 5 Stars tho.

A Dream Vacation

We just got home and I already miss it! This condo is everything mentioned and more. We had more than enough room for 4 adults and 3 teenagers. Beautifully decorated, with comfy furniture. The pictures don't do it justice! So bright and airy, and all bedrooms have access to a patio. The location is perfect! Quiet, and nearly surrounded by water. Easy access to the beach across the street. But my favorite was sitting on the riverfront dock in the mornings, drinking coffee and watching dolphins. The community is quiet and friendly, but close enough to touristy things without being too close. We can't wait to go back.

Perfect Location!

We loved this property. Being ground floor gave us immediate access to docks for fishing and crabbing, which we did a lot. No walking around building or elevators with this corner unit. Complete ease of unloading/loading car. The pool was steps away, so convenient. When we beach fished we could load car in a snap and park over there and a short walk. It was windy a lot and the back patio was a great shelter and still enjoy the sun all day! We would 100% stay here again!! Stephanie offered up extensive ideas for restaurants and fun things to do since it was our first time to the area. Very close to grocery stores and bait shops. We really enjoyed our time there!!

Best Vacation Ever

I have been visiting Perdido Key for 13 years and have stayed at Shipwatch most of those years. I was a little hesitant about getting a condo on the first floor (but I dislike elevators) but it was a good choice. The view is just as great as the ninth floor or any other. The Master Bedroom bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in and the girls with me said the same about theirs. We usually get a 2 bedroom but splurged and got a 3. We had everything necessary to cook in the kitchen plus an ice maker. I especially loved the walk in shower in the bath. I can’t say enough good things about the condo and getting ready to book for next year. The owner was super helpful with questions we had and very nice. We even met the local Crain named Fred right outside our door. Already counting the days! ❤️

Absolutely Amazing!!!

I honestly do not even know where to begin. Our experience renting from Stephanie and the week we just spent in Perdido Key was perfect. Our family of five, including three young children enjoyed an escape from the Minnesota winter to the pristine beaches of perdido key. The area itself is truly remarkable, so if you were looking at perdido key in general, you will not be disappointed. If you have stumbled across this specific listing and it is available for the dates you want —do not hesitate you honestly want to book it NOW :) Communication with Stephanie from the very beginning was excellent. I always like to ask questions before actually booking a place to make sure we have an accurate understanding of space, layout details, etc, and Stephanie was very happy to answer my questions. She Provided recommendations after we booked for restaurants and local attractions and checked in via text a few times during our stay. She was extremely friendly and helpful, and I sincerely appreciated the time and attention she gave to us. Immediately after walking into the rental, both my husband and I just looked at each other. The pictures of this listing (while great) do not do it justice. It felt much more open and seemed to be way more spacious than we had thought from the photos. Such a happy surprise :) All three bedrooms Were very generous in size, allowing plenty of room to spread out, have suitcases open, and not feel cramped at all. We felt the ground level unit offered a huge advantage for us, because there was no need to hassle with the elevator when unloading the car, or carrying beach / pool gear- and we could just literally open the patio doors and let the kiddos play on the patio or the grassy area just outside of the unit Essentially doubling the living space which was so awesome! Also worth noting is that the unit is EXTREMELY CLEAN- I mean -for being a unit that has high traffic to and from the sandy beach we were extremely impressed with the cleaning crew Stephanie has because it was perfectly spotless when we checked in. The pool on the bay side is literally just steps out the living room slider door- so convenient & most days we were the only family swimming. Also, steps away is the boat launch & marina dock which our family enjoyed- highlight for everyone was seeing dolphins super close to the dock we got to sit and watch them it was truly spectacular. I could go on and on. We are so thankful for the week we just spent here :)

This was our 3rd time at Shipwatch. We love this location on the Ole River across from Ono Island. The smallest grandboy caught his 1st fish, super excited. We went to Johnson Beach and the beach and pool across the street.We ate at the Crab trapWe ate at the Doc's on Canal Street, the Mahi and shrimp.Hub Stacey's wings and Ruben, and Don't forget a bushwackerThe condo had almost everything, no mixer and no blender. We really did enjoy the stay.Thank you Stephanie

Baby Boomer’s Vacation

I have booked this condo for several years and love it. The view is awesome, saw dolphins everyday, lots of restaurants near by and love staying on the bayside. It was very windy and the pool was cold but the weather was beautiful everyday. Looking forward to next year already.

This is a spacious & well located condo. It is a first floor unit with a view of the Ole River. It is near great restaurants & golf courses. Beautiful beach across the street & very nice pool. We hit a very chilly stretch this year. This was our 3rd stay in this condo.

Heaven on Earth

I have stayed in several condos at Shipwatch for the past 13 years but this has been my favorite. It is on the first floor, has a clear view to the bay, Ono Island and is so relaxing watching the boats, jet ski’s and even saw dolphins. This was my third time renting and will be renting again next April.

Amazing location and host

Our little kids were able to play in the grass outside the condo, we could walk right out to the docks to find hermit crabs and fish, there was even a narrow stretch of sand they could safely play in, pool on the bay side was so close, another pool on the beach side if needed. Beach was beautiful and family friendly, you had to walk down the driveway and across the highway but even with little kids it was do-able. Probably took 5 minutes with carrying things/waiting for cars, boardwalk was just a ramp so you could push strollers or coolers on wheels. Stephanie was super responsive the whole stay! Bring things like dish soap, sponges, paper goods etc, but otherwise kitchen had all you needed. We would love to come again!

This is our second stay in this corner first floor unit. It has 3 bedrooms/2baths which works well for us. Beautiful pool. Lots of fun watching the boats on the river from the patio or dock.

Great Location!

We absolutely loved to staying here. It was in a great location. We were there visiting family in Pensacola so it worked out perfect. We loved staying on the riverside versus the ocean side. My husband went out every night and morning fishing. It was a perfect location for amazing fishing. We could walk right across the street to go to the beach. We took a day trip to Fort Pickens. Spent an afternoon downtown Pensacola. Enjoyed amazing restaurants near the condo. Great communication and amazing place.
