Lindley’s Little Gem-a cozy cottage close to the Silos

Wonderful Waco 1930's cottage completely restored just blocks from The Silos and Baylor. The location is ideal for Baylor games and events or visiting the Silos and all Waco has to offer. The cottage is comfortably furnished with antiques, a spa-like bath with a deep copper Japanese soaking tub, and Kitchen-Aid and Nespresso appliances. This home is adorable, functional, and homey. City of Waco license number STR000799-09-2021.

Very cute place to stay. Very short drive to the silos. Neighborhood is old and ran down. At first, I didnt like it but no one bothered us. Bathroom is huge! The fan in the bedroom was a huge bonus. Looking to get one myself. I would stay again while traveling.

It was a quaint little house that we enjoyed our stay at. Loved the decor and it had everything we needed other than we only had 1 coffee pod for 2 people. The information booklet that was there was helpful when deciding where to go for dinner. Would definately stay again.

Perfect little gem

Perfect little gem. Small home as shown in listing but everything was strategically placed to fit perfectly and comfortably. Every little decorative detail was just lovely. Great location to everything downtown. It is an older surrounding area of homes, as many areas are near downtown, but I never once felt unsafe. I will stay here 100% again.

This place is so cute and quaint! Absolutely perfect for a weekend getaway. The pictures do not do this place justice, it is so gorgeous in person and has everything you might need. Super close to all the fun downtown waco activities. 10/10 stay!!!

Great spot!

Loved it. Cute and clean place. Great location to get around. If you are planning on cooking wouldn’t recommend it, just has a microwave and hot plate for cooking.

Near down town

This property was perfect for my daughter and I. The location was close to everything we were doing during our stay. The property was clean and cozy. I was a bit leery of the neighborhood when I first arrived but we had no problems and all was well.

Cute house!

There were just two of us who came to Waco for three nights. While the house was just over a mile from the downtown area, we found our way and soon became comfortable on knowing driving routes. The house is comfortably decorated and we found it very charming!

The heating system is not very efficient. The one in the bedroom goes on and off. This wasn’t good with the cold weather we had. We had no hot water the morning we left, so no showers!! We had an important meeting on our way to San Antonio and we were uncomfortable having not showered!

Cute little Bunny house

Quaint little house. Made for three, perfect for two. Very clean, very easy and close to magnolia properties. Would have like a stove, but adjusted to microwave easily. Decorated with bunnies, was so cute. Will stay here again, if I’m in the area. Thanks for letting us stay.

Darling, little unique house

Perfect for our one-night stay. Loved the super-fun, eclectically-curated furniture, decor and design. Very clean, comfy bed, thoughtful blackout/privacy curtains, ice maker. Nespresso machine was fun to try. Easy in and out. Location was a little surprising and the only reason for 4-stars.

Susan was easy to communicate with and responded quickly. We had a hot water issue and she called the plumber to fix it the next day while we were out. We appreciated the cleanliness and will definitely consider staying here again on our next trip to Waco.

Cozy & Safe

The home was very clean and well decorated. You are unable to cook because a stove is unavailable but you can microwave some food. The host was very responsive and attentive. The neighborhood is not "transitional." It is an established Hispanic working class neighborhood and it is very safe and quiet. The proximity to downtown and points of interest is perfect.

Definitely Would Stay Again

If you're like me when planning where to stay while traveling, I'm looking for something very affordable that's still nice, clean, comfortable and safe. Competition is tough so finding the right place can be like rolling the dice. Lindley's Little Gem exceeded my expectations! Cleanliness is very important to me. I'd give this a 10 out of 10! Although this is a small one-bedroom, one-bath older home (cottage), it has a large bathroom with a deep soaking tub, big walk-in shower, good thick towels and Meyer's Hand Soap. On the other hand, the living room and bedroom are a bit cramped with too many pieces of large furniture, which is nicely decorated and looks good but made the space feel cluttered. The bed is a gel foam mattress on a regular box spring (not a platform) so it's very soft and I sank in it. If you want a firm mattress, this isn't it. There's a TV in the bedroom and living room. The kitchen has a full size refrigerator, a nice KitchenAide microwave and a Nespresso Machine with complimentary coffee pod flavors. Two small wall mounted A/C units cool the space well but they're noisy so I slept with sleep sounds playing on my phone. Lindley's is very close to the freeway, plenty of restaurants and the Silo's. The neighborhood is run down, which is the main negative but didn't make me feel unsafe. Overall,this was affordable, comfortable and clean, convenient to everything I needed so I'd gladly stay here again. Thank you

Clean place - bed is too soft, almost like I was sitting in it. The shower water wasn’t reliable. It was hot, then cold, and there was no pattern to it.

Tiny, but good use of space.Reading light in living room would be nice.Daybed could use a mattress topper.TV service and availability very sketchy....no local channels...or if they were available, instructions on how to get normal cable TV stations. Husband went all weekend with NO FOOTBALL!!!Sketchy neighborhood and too close to bust freeway.BUT....overall nice place and very close to Baylor.
