"House of the Rising Son" - This beautifully decorated and privately owned beach house with ocean views from all 3 balconies, is in a perfect location in the heart of Surfside Beach. It is in walking distance of Surfside Pier and several great restaurants. Surfside Beach is a quiet, family beach only minutes away from Myrtle Beach and all attractions and entertainment.

For the 2023 season- New flooring in all the bedrooms and freshly painted throughout.

Featuring 7 bedrooms, 4 on first floor, 1 on second floor and 2 on third floor and 6.5 bathrooms. Master bedroom on each floor. This 5000 sqft spacious home can easily accommodate up to 22 people. Wireless internet access throughout the house.

The first floor has a master suite with a ocean view from its balcony. Featuring a king size bed and large, private bathroom. The 2nd bedroom on this floor has full size bunk beds and twin bunk beds and its own private bathroom with full size shower. The additional 2 bedrooms both feature queen size beds and each have there own private bathroom with full size showers. Also on this floor is a kitchenette with granite countertop, sink, coffee maker, mini-fridge and microwave.

The second floor has a spacious, open concept living area and fully equipped kitchen with granite countertops, full size washer/dryer, 1/2 bathroom and another master suite. The master suite has a king size bed and trundle bed with private bathroom featuring tub/shower combination. There are 2 large wall-mounted flat TV screens in the living area and plenty of seating.

On the third floor, there is an additional master bedroom with an ocean view balcony, king size bed and trundle bed. The 2nd bedroom on this floor has a queen size bed. These bedrooms share a large bathroom with tub/shower combination.

The elevator is available for use and extends to 2nd floor, but we ask that you do not let children play on it. Instructions are provided for its use as it is different from commercial elevators.

Linens are provided as well as hand soap, one roll of toilet paper in each bathroom, one roll of paper towels, and a trash bag in each trashcan. Any additional items needed beyond what is supplied, guests will need to purchase or bring with them.

Flat screen TVs are located throughout house as well.

Outside there is a private salt system pool that is professionally maintained, charcoal grill, and picnic table. The pool can be heated upon request. Home is located on a corner lot with extra parking and is directly across from a Public Beach Access.

The owners/host's live locally and can be easily reached at anytime.

Large beautiful home with room for the whole family and plenty of parking. The home and pool were well maintained. A short walk across the street to the beach was a plus. The host was very responsive as well.

Guys Golf Trip

Our group of 8 were on our 30th golf trip to Myrtle Beach area. This was one of the best homes we stayed in. Clean, nicely equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and easy walk to restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

HQ for Golf Trip

8 guys comfortable stayed here. Was 15 minutes from airport and generally 30 minutes from any golf course we played. Beach a 3 minute walk also a big bonus. Property as described. Hosts very communicative.

Wonderful place

Location probably couldn’t be better. Easy access to beach, restaurants and shopping. House is huge and well laid out. Elevator is a huge plus because of the many flights of stairs. Kitchen is big and fully stocked with pots etc. View was gorgeous and there’s plenty of space for parking.

Perfect House for Large Family Reunion

This house was perfect in every way, great location and great accommodations! Sherri Thompkins the owner provided us with everything we needed and answered all of our questions long before we arrived! I would strongly recommend this wonderful house to anyone with a large Family as it can easily sleep up to 21. Numerous TVs, DVD players, games, great pool and Wi-Fi!! All you need to bring is your food and beverages! Top Notch!!

Beautiful House and Location!

Our family had a wonderful stay at this lovely home. The house is awesome; plenty of room to relax, play games and enjoy each other's company. The house is very clean. Everyone slept well in each of the 7 bedrooms. There is easy access to the beach only a half block away. Plenty room to park, can easily park 5 cars if needed. Has an elevator which is very useful in bringing luggage and coolers to the upper floors. The communication with the owner was flawless, letting us know in plenty of time the means to gain access to the property and how to operate the elevator. If we ever get a chance to visit the Myrtle Beach area again, this house will be the first place we hope is available for us to rent once more.

Started Great...Went Downhill From There

The house was laid out as described and looked as it did in the pictures and all started well. The first two days we genuinely had a lot of conversations about making this a yearly vacation for our family. I only have 1500 letters so ill be quick. There were 2 nights during our stay we had pest exterminators out during dinner dragging ladders and equipment through the house to deal with bats. We didn't say anything but why were they scheduled for service during our vacation? Then we found 2 small cockroaches in the bedroom and still didn't say anything. We finally reached out to the host when 4 different rooms found large roaches in their bags and we also found one on the kitchen wall. We were told the home had been treated 3 weeks ago but they were surprised that they were being found. The biggest complaint we have was that we were blamed for the whole thing by saying that the cockroaches came in from outside and so we must have left the doors open and it was basically our fault. We always made sure doors were closed and usually locked up. Host did offer to send out an exterminator (yes, that would have made 3 days or half our stay involving pest control). We attempted to reach a resolution prior to writing review but host basically blamed us and said we were over reacting. The sad thing is we just asked for a small discount on the stay (15%) due to the issues and disruptions and were told there was no reason for our request and did not seem interested in a resolution.

We had a wonderful time, the location was perfect, just next to the public beach access, and the owner was super responsive. The pool guys showed up to check the pool, since it had rained, and we mentioned two minor issues, and got a message back from the owner within a couple hours and a visit from a contractor to fix them that afternoon.

This is a fantastic vacation rental in a great location just near the beach. The beach is maybe 1 minute away via a beach access right across from the house. There is plenty of parking under the house, including on the street along the side. FYI we were told to park there, but i got a ticket as i was too close to the stop sign. There is a barely visible yellow line on the road that means no parking. The house has plenty of rooms and beds, a great social space and furnished kitchen. There was even appliances like griddles, blenders, coffee makers, ice machines, etc. Clothes washers and dryers worked well. The salt water pool was very nice as well, alright i think there was some chlorine in it. There was even extra beach toys, cooler, etc for use for people, as well as a nice charcoal grill that worked great.Overall great stay and we're very happy, and would stay again.

It was lovely. Adequate space for us to be together or to get away from one another. Beautiful inside and out. Very clean. Close to the beach, walking distance to several restaurants. Just loved every minute and never wanted to leave.
